I was sat here worrying about lack of symptoms today as you do and blow me I have had to strap dp's wheat bag to my boobs, ouch ouch the pain!! I promise as soon as I have a due date I will bugger of to appropriate room with symptom whining

SKYTVADDICT · 26/06/2008 12:36

AM - we have also been told a month is the usual wait between the HIB/MenC then MMR at a later date. C had his first one a couple of weeks back and is due his MMR on 14 July.

I don't think they should or do give all together.

twelveyeargap · 26/06/2008 12:37

Great news MrsJB. Well done to H.

Lups, if you need to get three around, then this looks really good imo. It is quite wide, but a tandem or in-line buggy with a buggy board attached would be a nightmare. You can fit a buggy board to a Phil and Ted's but the room for the child to stand is restricted and I believe you have to remove the brake or something. I would measure your front and internal doors to see if you'll get it round, or will need to fold in the hallway or whatever. It's likely to fit through the front door.

The only issue you might have, is in "old fashioned" shops. My corner shop, for example, just squeezed through the Mountain Buggy at 68.5cm wide, I imagine the door opening is about 70cm. Your Quinny is 65cm wide and the one you're looking at on ebay is 76cm wide. Best thing to do is look at the clearance you have in doorways with the Quinny as you go about your business for the next few days. If you have about 5cm to spare each side of the wheels, then you'll be fine. It looks like a great buggy. I saw a lot of those toddler seats in Sydney. Very popular.

If you were thinking twin with buggy board, the more lightweight twin strollers are narrower. The Buggy Board Website has details about to which buggies you can fit a buggy board easily, with difficulty, or not at all. HTH!

Thanks for the offer, LG&T, but I prefer to stand.

AprilMeadow · 26/06/2008 12:51

glad i posted now!

MKG · 26/06/2008 12:52

I don't know anything about strollers either. (lol at buggies, that is what you hitch a horse too)

AprilMeadow · 26/06/2008 12:53

can i just tell them not to do the mmr and that i will re book. they wont scowl at me and tell me off.......

Just taken the first offical load of our crap stuff to the new house. Had a toy storage thing that i managed to drag down the stairs and then wheel across the road - got a few odd looks

Themasterandmargaritas · 26/06/2008 12:56

I would be surprised April if they would be happy to do it all together anyway, just tell them you want to reschedule the MMR/PCV and they should be fine with that.

elkiedee · 26/06/2008 13:09

AM, yes, ask to reschedule, that would go with the nurse's advice at D's clinic. D's jabs that he was meant to have before the MMR at 12 and 13 months respectively ended up being about a month late, and I asked if I should bring him back sooner for MMR but was told quite clearly it should be at least 4 weeks.

largeginandtonic · 26/06/2008 13:10

MKG what presents things can dh bring me us back from the States?

I was thinking about a DS but not sure about compatability. Maybe the Jane buggy i want would be cheaper over there? What do you think. Lucky charms at the top of the list and root beer (god i love it)

MKG · 26/06/2008 13:14

He could bring a new stroller they are cheaper here.

I don't know what do you want?

MKG · 26/06/2008 13:16

He's coming over here and the most exciting thing is Lucky Charms and root beer! My goodness I could ship you that stuff myself.

MKG · 26/06/2008 13:19

Of course the shipping would be more the items themselves.

MKG · 26/06/2008 13:22

What's the name of your stroller? There are Jane tandems, power twins . . . .

Pinkjenny · 26/06/2008 13:27

Can I sit on the pregnancy chair? Please?

Pinkjenny · 26/06/2008 13:29

I'm not going to bore you all with what happened last night, but will just give the following information:

By 10pm, we were both crying
I am now reading the NCSS with some alarming diligence.

SKYTVADDICT · 26/06/2008 13:46

PJ - by BOTH do you mean you and DH or you and L? Ha Ha. Sorry tis no laughing matter.

DP took C to see PILs last night and was not amused when I asked if it was instead of the weekend? At least C came back asleep and went straight to bed. I got a long soak in the bath.

Only 1 1/2 days to go now at work now!
