Oh Inzi!! what an arse, that is just a right shitter

Well I am off to finish packing ladies and probably won't be on again now before we go. Just a quick update... Ben has been doing two or three steps solo between DH and I this afternoon and he just loves it has a big grin on his face. Also he was sat on my lap facing me earlier and he grabbed hold of my hands and started rocking backwards and forwards saying row row row, I swear on my life he meant it for me to sing, so I did and he was giggling his head off and every time I stopped he did it again God knows what he will be doing in 10 days time with constant attention from us and his grandparents

See you all soon xxx

Lisa have a lovely time and congrats Ben!

Inzi that really is a pisser. Have to say that I was surprised that you were entitled to the money as once you had told them you weren't returning I couldn't see how they could then make you redundant as you had already resigned if you see what I mean? But at the same time thought nice one for you! Have you kept the answer phone message? If so I wonder if it is worth complaining that it's not resonable for them to tell you the money will be yours and then change their minds? Worth a shot?

Choc glad to hear you had a good time with il's! And that R can sleep!!!! Look forward to catching up soon. I have your jewellery - it's gorgeous.

Dal OMG about ttc! Good luck!

Muppet, crochet and others hello!

Well my foot is slowly getting better. Still pretty sore but def on the mend so fingers crossed...

Anyone else watching x-factor? I LOVE it! I am rubbish at the emotional stories though and always well up! Now watching a girls aloud reality thing where they try out other stuff they have always wanted to try - pure trash but very watchable!

FloriaTosca · 16/08/2008 21:59

Inzi;(((((BIG HUGS)))) I'm so sorry, that is just so not fair.

LLL; I told you he was saving it all up to do all at once!!! Have a fab holiday..I bet you come back with him walking, talking and doing algebra!!

Good news for us is that the mink hasnt been seen since we removed the rubble from by the pond, the fish in the holding tanks are recovering and the ones I couldn't catch havent been attacked since yesterday..so good for us, not so good for someone elses pond...but truly great that I dont have to wade in that slime any longer!

Off to bed now..we had a teething night last night and I need to catch up . hope everyone else is fine.

I am watching x factor. I watched it when I was in labour. I love and hate that show - it is really car crash tv! I don't like it when they get the totally deluded people and take the piss out of them but I can't stop watching it either.

Dareh feed at half one and half five last night. He woke at ten but I didn't feed him then. I am not sure if I should try and get rid of the half one feed now. How many of you have LO's that don't need fed at night?

LisaLessLumpy · 17/08/2008 08:46

Ben stopped having night feeds at 12 weeks

Mine · 17/08/2008 08:57

have a fab holiday LLL !!!
Stefka - Eren also started to sleep through with no feeds at 12 weeks. He takes a dummy though so it was pretty easy fooling him with a dummy than boob for night feeds.

Dalrymps · 17/08/2008 09:40

Hi everyone

Inzi - I am totally gutted for you, I can't imagine anything more annoyung and upsetting thatn being told you'll get some money when things are tight then having it snatched away. I would be so happy if we got some money right now, i'm trying to save money all the time by eating beans and other cheap foods, Dylan eatss like a king on the other hand though! ((((big hugs))) to you, hope you're feeling better about it today and that uour dh has managed to cheer you up a bit.

Stefka - Dylan sleeps through, has done since about 12 weeks I think but he's on formula so don't know if that makes any difference.

I missed the x factor as we went to see dh's bil and sil and Dylans little cousin, shes so sweet. Although she is the same size as Dylan and 3 and a half months younger than him, she also eats like a horse we couldn't believe her appetite, they're like two extremes!

We're gonna watch x factor today though cause it's one of dh's favourite shows, he loves the audition stage

Floria - Glad the pesky mink has gone. Hope you caught up on your sleep.

I think we're going to have teething soon as I can feel a tooth shaped lump on Dylans bottom jaw, it doesn't seem to be bothering him yet though and his gum hasn't gone white or anything so maybe it'll be a while longer. Anyone know how long it takes once you can feel the tooth? I'm very excited as he has no teeth at all yet!

LLL - have a wonderful holiday, looking forward to you bringing back your all singing, dancing Ben

Alice - glad your foot is on the ment, hope it makes a speedy recovery.

Muppet - glad you have a tidy house but not so glad you've been stressed, hope you feel less stressed now. I've been getting in touch with people on facebook too. People I thought i'd never hear from again, I like nosying at their pics to see how they've changed

Mine - How are you today? Where's the banana Jam recipe?

J20 - How's the new buggy?

Choc - Have you decided anything about ttc yet?

Well, I've made dh stay in bed as he is hot and has a very sore throat that hurts when he swallows , it's his first full weekend off in 4 weeks, why do things like this happen? He really deserves a nice weekind off and now he's ill... He has got next weekend off though and the monday too so i'm sure he'll be better by then.

Gonna go give Dylan his bottle so i'll chat to you all soon, hi to anyone i've not mentioned x

Stefka · 17/08/2008 10:15

I think I might go cold turkey tonight and not feed him at all. Do you do an early morning feed or not until seven?

LisaLessLumpy · 17/08/2008 10:28

Ben has his first bottle anywhere between 7-8am depending on when he wakes up. Just to even things up, I bf Sam till he was 5 months and I was still doing a night feed until then, but as soon as I put him on formula and food he started sleeping through after we 'broke' him so to speak at 6 months.

muppetgirl · 17/08/2008 12:42

Hi all

Stefka - Henry didn't drop night feeds until 14/15/16? weeks My friend's 1st did sleep through at 12 weeks and was b/f so not sure what to advise... Henry is the King of sleep and woke up at 9.30am after going to bed yawning at 6pm last night. He also eats like a horse! He has 8 teeth now and is a demon with them. No crawling though and he has only just become bothered enough to roll!

Dh and Ollie are playing tents in the living room and I have spent the morning scrubbing the kitchen and it is now gleaming. Need to do inside the oven sometime this week as it's setting off the smoke alarm where it's so dirty! X factor was it's usual fab self and I really want the lady with 5 kids to do well. I'm a sucker for a real hard luck story and she's managed to turn things around so those of us in the muppet household are routing for her. No doubt the press will drag everyone up from her drug dealer to getting her children in the papers because they don't like someone who's turning their life around but we can but hope

Looking forward to one of dh's roasts which are wonderful, as is his gravey's the leftover's I'll make into a curry for tomorrow as Henry and Oliver like curry.

J20 - How are you?
Floria - glad the mink problem has gone!
Alice -Hi! Hoping your foot is better xxx
Crochet -How's things with you?
Tles -where are you???? Am off to facebook you x
Choc, Strawberry, , Inzi (how's you today?? x)
LLL- Have a fab holiday

crochetdiva · 17/08/2008 18:13

stefka - mairwen is still feeding during the night - mostly just at 11ish then about 4-5am ish ... but last night I was up most of the night with her because of her teeth ... oh, I hope this will pass soon - she's a real grump today!

alice - hope your foot feels better soon!

muppetgirl - I'm fine, just very tired ... and counting down to going back to work! Mind you, I'm trying to think of it as still having 2 weeks holiday rather than only 2 weeks ... we'll be away next week down in Tenby (I love Tenby ), so that'll give me something to look forward to!

love to everybody else ... my break from M is over - she's screaming for food and bed ...

muppetgirl · 17/08/2008 18:24

Oh good God the roast was fabulous!!!!!!!
Am stuffed emoticon]

I also ran for an hour today and did 9.27k so are very chuffed with myself. I have this 6k fun run which I now know I can run so that's great.

Crochet -Tenby is fab isn't it!

love to all
x

Not been on here for ages - rl getting in the way.

I felt really old last week - met up with some old school friends I found on fb - not seen them for 20 years. Two are single but one is married with 3 kids so when she suggested we all meet up for a meal I was expecting a drink then a meal, catch up with a lot of gossip, then back home by midnight. I even drove as it was the easiest way for me to get back. Hmmm. We met for a drink then went to a restaurant on Canal Street where you can't hear yourself think for the music. Then the others were planning drinking/clubbing until the early hours. They were quite shocked that I was driving and offered to put me up next time (they all live near each other so a taxi is cheap). Now 5 years ago I'd have done all that without blinking, but now I find I don't really want to - I'd rather be home when Anya wakes up and get a few hours sleep before then. I didn't think I was particularly old and boring but I do feel it now!

J2O - sorry, can't find what? (It's so long since I was on here I can't remember what I wrote!) Sorry your camping weekend was a bit of a nightmare. Hope the headlice are now gone.

Dal - glad Dylan seems better. Am so about you ttc - fingers crossed for you hun.

LLL - well done Ben crawling and walking! And doing row row row.

Apricott - shame about your job - at least you've got a good childminder though and dh can do some of it. Wow about New Zealand - sounds like an amazing trip.

Crochet - glad you're sounding so much better. When you're up in Manchester make sure you drop in and see FT and me.

Muppet - think the man at the tennis courts was so out of order - he's one of these people who thinks that nobody should have any fun within his earshot. Am glad that the club is on your side. It sounds like you handled it really well.

FT - sounds like you're coping really well with the sleep deprevation.

Stefka - glad you are doing well and that the cc seems to be working. Anya only ever woke once in the night for feeding - we cut that out by me setting my alarm for about 1:30am - that meant she would then feed and sleep through until 6ish. Then after a week I moved it to 1am then 12:30 the next week, etc until I was just dream feeding her at 10pm and she would sleep until 6am or later. But then she's always slept well so that might not work for Dareh. Plus about once a week she wakes up at 3 or 4am wanting a feed so it's not foolproof!

Inzi - oh hun, poor you, that's awful that you were told one thing and then that's not happening.

Alice - hope your foot clears up soon.

Choc - think you can still see me on BBCi player on internet. Battle of the Brains shows 9 & 10. I think.

Sorry if I've missed anyone or any posts.

Stefka · 17/08/2008 23:22

With the dreamfeed did you wake her up? I am always wary of waking him up. I had to feed him tonight as I was out and he refused his bottle EBM. He just had a feed now which I suppose is dream feed time so I am going to try and not feed him again till the morning.

I would not be up for an all night clubbing session these days either!

muppetgirl · 18/08/2008 07:54

Stefka - we did a dreamfeed with Ollie and didn't wake him. I think we did with Henry and sometimes he was awake sometimes he wasn't but he always went back to sleep easily. Does Dareh go to sleep easily or does he take a while to settle?

No clubbing here either wwajc! Walking the dogs at 6.30am is enough excitement for me at the moment!

Dalrymps · 18/08/2008 08:05

No clubbing here either, I HAD to go to the 80's club 'Reflex' in July for my best friends hen (she wanted to go to a live music bar as doesn't like clubbing either but by the time we got in town it was too late), anyway, although I enjoyed the music I just kept thinking I felt out of place and did want to get to bed too late and missed Dylan. I also got VERY sick of all the sleazy men trying to come on to us, I told one I was married and pointed to my ring and his response was 'so?' . I was so happy to get home and snuggle with dh and see Dylan

Stefka · 18/08/2008 08:36

I have had that happen to me Dalry - men can be so disgusting. I once was working in a pub and this guy was at me and I told him that I was married and that my husband was the guy working beside me. Even that did not stop him so I told him to f* off!

I need my bed too much to be out all night these days. I would love to go out for a meal though - a nice proper Italian with red wine. I did get to go to the theatre last night although I had to go on my own like a norma no mates.

I fed Dareh at half ten and half five - he woke up at half one and half three too but I didn't feed him those times. I dunno - I can get away with not feeding him but I wish he wouldn't wake up because I am not getting any more sleep than I was before! I am wondering if when he wakes up he thinks he might get feed so he gives it a go if you know what I mean.

FloriaTosca · 18/08/2008 08:48

WWAJC...speaking as the last of my peers to get "coupled up" I think you will find that your friends your lifestyle and would give up the night clubbing at the drop of a hat to have the family/lifestyle that you have got

Stefka; well done with the cc...I've not managed to do it and I'm still night feeding..how did the feedless night go?

Well it looks like co-sleeping isnt going to be the solution to our sleep problems , the first couple of nights were great, Alex woke about three times as usual and I slid him to me, fed him laying down and slid him back so I got more rest, which was fine... but since then Alex has got used to me being "there" for him and last night kept crawling over and screaming if he couldnt get instant access and ended up basically suckling all night, using me as a dummy [sore and crabby emoticon]..result being we are both over tired and I dont know which of us is crying most... quite what we try next I dont know as I know I cant cope with cc ....right now I'm going to go back to bed as soon as he drops off for his nap which may be any second now...I'll be back later.
