I hope I manage to do this right...I'll kick everything off with a roll call if it does.

Thanks for the age gap advice everyone, I guess you've all said what I thought, that there are pro's and cons to all age gaps and it depends on the personalities of the lo's too as to how it'll work.
Choc - you summed it up well, what matters most is being ready emotionally and physically to be pregnant and have another lo again. I know i'm not quite ready yet but am enjoying mulling the idea over.
As I have said before I want to get the house sorted and lose a bit of weight. With this in mind I have decided with dh to set a goal for getting the house sorted, we decided we should have it done by Dylans's birthday (30th Oct) if not a bit before. I have said I am onsidering the next one and may considerttc after that date but am not certain I will want to by then so we will review it at the time. He says he doesn't mind, says he is just excited about ttc whenever we decide to do it, even if thats next year...
Dylans weigh in went well, he had gained 1lb 2 and a half oz over 4 weeks. This is a good gain for him, he was down to about 2 and a half oz a week and fipping below the bottom centile line, he has now edged just above the line and is a massive 15lb 4 and a half oz . Hv was happy with that (although, to be honest I don't care what she thinks as long as I'M happy!). I said I would go back on a months time as diatician had recommended. He has only been on his high calorie formula for about 2 weeks so he may put on even more next time?!
Wow, so thats Stefka, choc, inzi and me who have all been discussing the next lo's, how exciting, wonder if any of us will be pregnant together???
Well, hello to everyone i've missed, I'm off to watch the shining with dh as he's been wanting to watch it all week, catch ya soon x

Dalrymps · 31/07/2008 08:28

Morning everyone, Dylan woke at 6.30am , can't complain though cause it's usually more like 7.30-8.00am.
Hope those of you having sleepless nights had a better night last night.
Not a lot happening so far today, Dylan is currently crawling round whilst blowing raspberries and trumping!

muppetgirl · 31/07/2008 13:37

hi all
dal - loved your description of dylan trumping whilst blowing rasberries!

I'm sat here after running for 40 mins, press up position for 1 min, plank for 45 seconds and 20 sit ups and 20 abb crunches and then he made me do the stairs for 7 mins!!!! I have not sweated so much in ages!!!

Am off for a shower and then swimming with Ollie

Love to all

xx

Dalrymps · 31/07/2008 13:44

Wow, wish I could do that much exercise! Am thinking of starting running but am VERY unfit, any tips? Have fun swimming.

crochetdiva · 31/07/2008 13:56

muppetgirl, you're making me tired just reading what you've been doing ...

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 31/07/2008 15:34

Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, - it is NEXT Thursday on tv (7th).

FloriaTosca · 31/07/2008 17:21

WWAJC; Damn! and I had chair pulled up in front of the telly, and my glass of wine and packet of orange and chocolate biscuits on the side table all ready to cheer you on....they'll go off if I leave them a week..I'll just have to eat these now and buy more next week...and its all Your fault!

Dalrymps · 31/07/2008 18:16

Ahhhhh I keep running in to the lounge in between eating my tea, wondered why none of them looked like you , next week it is then!

muppetgirl · 31/07/2008 18:48

Hi Dal -what my chap did with me is to strt by walk 1 min then run 1 min 5 times. If you're okay with that then walk 1 run 2, then walk 1 run 3 etc till you get to 10 solid mins. Once to 10 then add 5 min slots.

Forgot my timmings today and couldn't go swimming as I made a fish pie for supper (I'm out tonight at the cinema watching mama mia with friends) Dh saw Ollie horseriding and had a proud daddy moment which was great

see you all soon (I think I'm going to fall asleep in the cinema I'm knackered!!)

love to all

strawberrylace · 31/07/2008 21:36

hello everyone
can i just ask a quick question please? aside from the fact that none of the LOs are sleeping well at the moment, are they all in their own rooms now or does anyone still have them in with them?
The reason I ask is that DS has his cot in our room still, which isn't a particular problem, its just that I'm now worried that I've missed a window of opportunity to get him settled in his own room.
I like having him in with us, there's plenty of room, and we don't have to go very far if he wakes in the night. But he doesn't need feeding in the night now, and I wonder if his waking up and coming into our bed is because he is so close. Apart from the 2am waking he sleeps fine - DH is my problem with his snoring!!
Any tips on making the move gratefully received

FloriaTosca · 31/07/2008 22:04

Strawberry;Alex is still in with us but that is because he is still feeding (BF)at least once during the night...often twice and sometimes even more...and no way am I getting up and going into his room to do that that often...like you we have plenty of room so we have decided we will move him when he stops needing these overnight feeds... though Dh thinks at this rate it wont be before his A levels!

Dalrymps · 31/07/2008 22:29

Dylan is still in our room, main reason being there are loads of boxes of crap in his room that we're in the process of sorting out. He sleeps through most of the time.
Also plenty space in our room and don't mind having him there so we're just gonna move him when his room's clear

Mine · 01/08/2008 07:51

hi strawberry, Eren is now in his own room. He too sleeps through the night (most of the time) and i have found that he does sleep better, mainly because we don;t disturb him with our tittering when dh and ii go to bed.
He still wakes up around 4'ish on some nights lookiing for his dummy but its the best thing we did.

We did it at this age (almost 10 months) because he is young enough not to notice he is alone and also because he has to go it alone at some time, so better now than later.
Its also give dh and i our room back to enjoy IYKWIM

I guess you can only do it when both you and lo are ready.

ChocolateHobnob · 01/08/2008 08:02

Hi Strawberry

we moved R when we moved house, so a month ago when she was 8 months. I can honestly say it hasnt altered her sleep one bit - and it is more tiring for me tripping back and forth. However it seemed right to start getting her used to sleeping in her own space: as Mine says they're still young enough to not be that aware. I guess if you leave it till they're more savvy the transition could be harder but I don't know! Everyone told me to move R from when she was 6 months and her sleeping would magically improve - it hasn't...!

ChocolateHobnob · 01/08/2008 08:40

Oh and Muppet - keep forgetting to say - your MIL really takes the biscuit! You have the patience of a saint...

LisaLessLumpy · 01/08/2008 08:51

Ben has been in his own room since he was 3 weeks old, best thing we did as we just kept waking each other up. He sleeps all the way through and has been since 12 weeks. We put him to bed awake and he sends himself to sleep, also when he wakes in the morning he'll quite happily chatter to himself or like this morning went back to sleep after I gave him his dummy.

FT - I hope I'm not speaking out of turn here... but are you sure Alex still needs feeding in the night or is it just habit now for both of you?

FloriaTosca · 01/08/2008 08:51

Morning All!
Choc; Sorry Rs sleep hasn't improved..people here said to move Alex before now and it would make him sleep through but I didn't believe it and your experience confirms my feelings, we aren't disturbing him (when he is asleep, he is asleep and we could make as much noise as we like without him stirring)and trecking through is just going to end up with me even more exhausted and I dont have it half so bad as you[dont know how you cope emoticon]. I wish I could find a magical solution for all of us with sleep problems.

Muppet; hope MammaMia was fabulous and that you managed to stay awake for it!No wonder you are tired...even your beginner fitness regime has me exhausted just thinking about it!

Dal; Wonderful weight gain from Dylan I'm[envy} of those of you talking about next pgs...Alex is going to be a spoiled only child because it is better for him to have a fit, healthy mother than a sibling but having him is so wonderful I do wish we could risk another...[sigh]

Alice; Glad that you are enjoying your sis and nephew so much, it is lovely that the cousins are so close in age so will hopefully always enjoy each others company when they do get to meet up.

Crochet;thinking of you...your sister must be very trying.

Got to go...we are getting a new sink delivered as I dropped a bottle of mouthwash into the old one and smashed it..I'll be back later

Hi all
Mama Mia was FAB!!!!!!!! If you can go and see it. Piers Brosnan in a turquoise Abba catsuit was a sight to behold!! I went with my Goddaughters mummy and her MIL and we had a great time. Managed to stay awake so that was a bonus to

Henry has been in his room for a few months now. He loves a little time on his own to bat about and sleeps form 6/6.30pm- 7.30am (ish) (sorry those who've sleep problems!) He's happy, we're happy and we can still hear him should we need to as he's above us. I think there's no hard and fast rule, just do what you and dh are comfortable with x

Been at friends house, had lunch and then back home to do jobs. It's rainning really heavily now and actually a little cold so I've shut all the windows for the first time in ages. Wish we still had the house with the open fire

Love to all
xx

Just a fleeting hello ladies so that you know that you're not forgotten!

Adam is in his own room and has been since 12 weeks. Was a real plus for us too as he is very noisy when he sleeps and was disturbing us. I also think we were jumping to attention too quickly as he became better at settling himself once he had his own room. No idea if there is a window of opportunity but I have heard that babies take longer to settle in nursery after about 1 as they usually start to be more aware of being left around this time. No idea how true this is but I know both of mine settled at nursery without turing a hair (8 and 7 months) whereas babies of friends who went back to work at 1 year had a much harder time. So maybe best to try sooner rather than later if you want him in his own room in the near future? However if it works better for you then just leave well alone!

Hello everyone else! We are off out tonight for my parent's wedding anniversary now so off to get some stuff sorted before then

Ben has got his third tooth!
Ben has started getting into the crawling position just needs to start moving his arms and legs together now.
Ben has been walking on his own pushing Sam's Thomas ride on
Ben is walking with me only holding onto one hand.

All in two days

Dalrymps · 01/08/2008 20:27

Wow LLL what a little star! Bet you're really pleased. He must have been saving it all up for you

LisaLessLumpy · 01/08/2008 22:56

What's the betting he will bloody crawl whilst I am away for the weekend... It was the same with Sam, he went to nursery 2 afternoons a week and I was with him the rest of the time, yes you guessed it, he crawled for the first time on one of those afternoons

muppetgirl · 02/08/2008 08:25

Hi Lisa - I'm surprised nursery told you Sam cawled!! I would have thought they would have left it and let you see it 'first' the other days you were with him!!

LisaLessLumpy · 02/08/2008 09:24

I never thought of that, but I agree they should have
