I'm fine Foxy......3rd test was also positive this morning (bloody DH!!).

How are you and yours?

foxythesnowfox · 09/06/2008 14:18

for LittleMrNorty on Sunday

Wheeyy-heeey! Congratulations again!

Check out that link for MCFC Father's Day cards.

LittleMissNorty · 09/06/2008 14:26

OMG. It was his birthday yesterday and he got

  • framed pic of Maine Road
  • framed pic of "city legends"
  • DVD of 2007-8 Manchester Derby

(please god, make me have a little girl )

foxythesnowfox · 09/06/2008 15:01

Ooh, i might have to get that DVD for DS2!

DD2 was up screaming all night. She refused to go to bed. When I went to bed she continued to yell. She went to sleep about 1am on the boob. I put her in her bed at 3am, she woke at 5 yelled for over an hour, whilst I fed/didn't feed her, she eventually fell asleep at 6.30 and got up at 9.30.

We put our trampoline up yesterday. Its fab. Have ordered a new paddling pool, cut the grass, chopped some bushes down, and am ready for the summer now

DP couldn't find the children this morning. He eventually found them in the garden, having escaped out of the bedroom window. Buggers.

School run time I guess.

Bugger, have to get the baby up.

Arse.

LittleMissNorty · 09/06/2008 15:13

Blimey Foxy, did they shin it down the drain-pipe or something? I done that as a small child. Leant too far out of bedroom window (in a bungalow I hasten to add), fell into flower bed and had to ring front doorbell at 8pm with face full of dirt

Poor DD2 - is she teething or not well?

DVD on MCFC website

lackaDAISYcal · 09/06/2008 15:33

afternoon . I've been enjoying the sun in the garden while DD sleeps, but (in true curmudgeonly british stylee) I'm toooooooo hot so had to come in.

Poor DD2 foxy; what's up with her?

Poor OJ .

FrazzledFairyFay · 09/06/2008 15:45

Poor OJ

Quick Q for those of you with older DCs - potty training..... I thought we'd cracked it with DD, weeks of perfect poos and wees and no accidents and now she is pooing and weeing in her pants constantly, and doesn't seem bothered - how on earth do I stop her? I've tried reprimanding her, I've tried rewarding her when she's dry - neither seems to have worked. It is driving me crazy. She can do it, she just seems to have decided that she doesn't want to anymore. She is being particularly 'challenging' generally at the moment, saying 'no' to everything, etc and I wonder if it's part of the attention seeking/pushing boundary behaviour. Does anyone have any tips?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 09/06/2008 16:33

Sorry Fairy, I know nothing (yet ) about potty training. But sounds challenging adn you have my sypathy. And in case I forgoet or don't come online tomorrow then happy birthday to DS for tomorrow.

We've had a nice day - cleared our patio and took a load of stuff to the recycling centre/tip, then enjoyed drinks (non-alcoholic unfortunately, got to go collect the jamlet from nursery as yet) in the garden. But like Daisy we got too overheated and have now come in.

I hadn't read all the threads, but yes poor OJ and family.

Tomorrow is another big day out looking at animals - here. Not sure what we're doing on Wednesday yet, then Thursday is a National Trust place out for sushi in the evening and Friday is doing stuff with the jamlet for her birthday (Rhyme Time, lunch out, afternoon by the river), Saturday is her party and who knows about Sunday?

Sputnik · 09/06/2008 17:15

Fairy, probably best to grit your teeth and ignore if you think it's part of the attention seeking. Easier said than done though. We had many potty woes but not that particular one, though I seem to remember she did regress a bit a few months in, I think it happens quite a bit. Try trawling the potty threads on here if you haven't already, or start a new one.

Hope your DD is ok Foxy and you get a better night.

lackaDAISYcal · 09/06/2008 19:23

sounds like hard work fairy. I'm pretty sure DS regressed for a bit as well, but we were in the middle of getting married and moving house and I think the strain was a bit much for him. Then I think we had a lot of him refusing to do anything about going to the potty and saying he didn't need as he was in the act of weeing himself (he still does that yet on occasion ). He has gone/is going through a stage of being more jealous of DD than he ever has been, especially as she is getting lots of praise for her developmental milestones, and is attention seeking like mad. We tend to ignore the bad behaviour and reward the good, and it's working...slowly, but it's definately working.

Sounds like a good week you have planned Jammy.....Mmmmmmmmm sushi

I had a new(ish) RL friend round this morning; one of the mums from the NCT postnatal group who I don't know that well really, but she is also pregnant (she'll have a 15 month gap) and had said to a mutual friend that she wanted to get in touch with me. I emailed her last week and we arranged to meet up today. It was really nice, and her little girl is a sweetheart and she and DD get on really well together. We're going to start a local 2 under 2 group after our babies are born (she's due a couple of weeks after me).

DD has her HIB/men C booster tomorrow. Am dreading it; she is bigger and more aware of being hurt. Am expecting a really unsettled evening with her too, and DH won't be around to help.

foxythesnowfox · 09/06/2008 19:59

I don't know Fairy. In an ideal world I'd shrug, mutter 'never mind' leave it at that. Perhaps emphasise that DS is a baby who wears nappies every time you change him, then drop in that you hope DD won't go back in nappies, because you thought she was a big girl etc. I always like to say "So-and-so is such a big girl. Doesn't have accidents". Am not sure if that's right though, or if it makes them feel worse.

Oh LO is yelling. I don't think there's anything wrong, I think she's being a PITA. She'll be fine if I go in (have just changed her so I know its not that). Just going to leave her to shout it out. And get the message.

Somehow I suspect she will win her game!

lackaDAISYcal · 09/06/2008 21:14

foxy, she knows you are a soft target DD was put to bed just befire seven as she was falling asleep at teatime. She then went on to talk to herself and her toys for over half an hour. she wasn't upset and crying though so we just left her to it!

foxythesnowfox · 09/06/2008 21:22

soft target? Moi?

Like the idea of the 2 Under 2 club.

I am hungry! Keep me away from the crisps!

LittleMissNorty · 09/06/2008 21:23

2 under 2....aaaarrrrgggghhhh

scary

foxythesnowfox · 09/06/2008 21:27

Have you any idea of your due date Norty? What will be the gap? 19 months?

Sounds scary doesn't it?

lackaDAISYcal · 09/06/2008 21:28

norty....will you have two under two or just sneak in to the two under three category? I've tried working it out but am running out of fingers

LittleMissNorty · 09/06/2008 21:28

very scary.

I can't remember when my last period was but do remember it, so am assuming it was end of April / beginning of May which puts me at end of Jan / beginning of Feb....how embarressing...I'm 39 FFS not 19....

LittleMissNorty · 09/06/2008 21:29

I reakon she'll be about 21 months....do you even get to an 18 month age gap Daisy?

foxythesnowfox · 09/06/2008 21:31

It'll be fine.

Reap the rewards in the years to come.

Honest!

I'm off now.

To find crisps ....

LittleMissNorty · 09/06/2008 21:36

Yes I'm off too - night x

lackaDAISYcal · 09/06/2008 21:39

lackaDAISYcal · 09/06/2008 21:39

night all

sits in corner with fried worms

Sputnik · 09/06/2008 21:47

I have just spent 2 hours putting my DCs to bed!
I'm pretty sure Baby Sputnik is having teething pain, but I think his stomach is bothering him too as he's completely off solids. Anyway he had a mega bedtime feed and was just drifting off nicely, then started screaming and arching his back, which eventually set off DD too, so 2 hysterical DCs on my hands. In the end we came back in the living room ad put on the tv to calm down.

We had been doing ok up til now with DH away. Luckily he'll be back tomorrow.

I am eating my dinner now ffs, uckily I had the other half of my curry in the freezer, or it'd've been crackers.

Sputnik · 09/06/2008 21:51

Pass me one of those fried worms over then lass

LOL at hysteria

There are 18 months between me and my sis. My Mum survived!

justbeme · 09/06/2008 21:56

That doesnt sound good Sputnik! (bedtime I mean!) - Must be something in the air as L screamed for an hour tonight.

I would have had an 18mth gap - I was thinking - I bet I win the "Most pregnant" one on here - even beating Foxy?? It's been 7 times now!. (Cant imagine having 7 of the monkeys running around though - although I hope I meet them all one day - Sorry if that sounds odd!!)

Changing the subject.....
Has anyone heard from Natty?
