Izzybel · 07/06/2008 22:30

Oh don't Norty! I am dreading the teenage years! Hormones and tantrums. She's bad enough with the tantrums now!

Sputnik · 07/06/2008 22:30

Just having the same thought Norty.
Actually, you can't get cider in Italy [whew]

LittleMissNorty · 07/06/2008 22:32

Ohh I love a nice cold cider......

Izzybel · 07/06/2008 22:33

Goodnight JBM. Hope your DD's friend is ok and whatever it is, I hope that you don't catch it!

LittleMissNorty · 07/06/2008 22:34

Night JBM...

Right I'm off too.....night all x

bumperlicious · 07/06/2008 22:34

Glad you are ok JBM, we are all thinking of you. Yuck at the sick though. Seeing vom or even hearing it makes me want to throw up myself!

Izzy, good news about DD. What is the nature of your hearing problem? Was there a possibility of it being passed on? How severe is it?

Sputnik, sorry you've had crap day. I hate days where ou don't achieve anything, it's soul destroying.

Norty, hope you are feeling ok, glad Coventry went well and DD and DH were ok.

Fury, sending get well vibes!

Holly of your night out, you look fab, hope you have a good time but don't pay for it tomorrow.

Hi everyone else - actually think that just leaves foxy , well done on your day. And Jammy v impressed at all the walking. Sounds like it is doing the job!

Izzybel · 07/06/2008 22:34

The first time I ever got drunk was on Woodpecker cider. I have never touched it since. I was very sick!

Izzybel · 07/06/2008 22:44

Hey Bumper! The nature of my problem is damaged nerves . Not sure how much hearing I have got, but can hear just as well as the next person with my hearing aids in. It doesn't affect my life (went to normal schools, normal speech etc.) Not sure whether my type of deafness can be passed on, but I think that some types can. I wasn't that concerned about her hearing, because had it been the same as mine, it wouldn't have caused her too much trouble, it's just the faff of going to audiology appointments and hearing tests all the time

bumperlicious · 07/06/2008 22:52

It's good to know she is ok though. Thanks for answering, sorry to be nosey!

Right off to bed now. Have persuaded DH it's his turn to get DD up in the morning (we only get to have a lie in once a week and take it in turns).

Night all x

Izzybel · 07/06/2008 23:01

Not nosey at all! When I was little I used to get other children asking (nicely) "what are those things?" I remember one lad at college (so he wasn't little obv!) asking if he could try them on weirdo!
I'm off too. DP has come back and is complaining that I never spend any time with him, blah blah blah.
Hope you have a nice lie in Bumper.
Night all xx

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 08/06/2008 05:59

Well another early morning chez Jammy. 5.15 she got me up Ah well, she does sleep through from 7pm. Nappy was almost dry on waking though Should I be concerned? She seems well hydrated judging by her soft spot, but I'll try to give her plenty of fluids today to be sure.

As for the tantrums, she got into a bit of a paddy when I wouldn't give her a 3rd taste of my ice cream last night. And if I take the laptop away - well! She loves the buttons on the front (CD controls) as they light up when she presses them

We're off out today to a children's farm place. With some old school friends of mine and their DD and DS. Hope you all have nice days too - and that Sputnik gets out!

bumperlicious · 08/06/2008 18:01

Hi all, you've obviously all been out, hope you were having fun.

Jammy hope the farm was nice.

We spent the afternoon at the Lido, it was fab, can't believe we've never been before and it is huge. DD loved the paddling pool, and today for the first time was standing completely on her own. She has down it for a few seconds before, but only really without realising, but now she is doing it completely consciously now, and standing up from sitting rather than from pulling her self up on furniture [proud mummy]

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 08/06/2008 18:19

Well done Baby Bumper! Lido sounds good on hot day like this. Farm was good too. I've just put some photos on FB.

Sputnik · 08/06/2008 18:44

We didn't go anywhere, it rained again. Clearly I am in the wrong country! Baby Sputnik NOT happy at all, can't figure out his problem, lots of teething signs but no teeth seem to be coming, he just got the top lot in. Not eating either. Will take him off to bed in a bit, see what happens.

Well done to the Bumperette
We are solidly cruising here, funny it's not that long since he wasn't even crawling.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 08/06/2008 19:29

We had teething signd for ages before any teeth came too. Sorry you didn't get out today Sputnik.

In the absence of proper crawling, the jamlet is mastering the bum shuffle. I had to remove her from the network cable 6 times this morning, putting her across the room from it and she kept finding her way back.

LittleMissNorty · 08/06/2008 20:32

poor thing sputnik....we also have nightmares with teeth moving about, then they seem to cut through without any problems

lackaDAISYcal · 08/06/2008 20:59

evening all....I'm bloody knackered. A good day was had by all though, although DD a bit overwhelmed by all the people. So much so that she sat still on the picnic blanket for about half an hour

She is still cruising, and although will stand on her own quite happily needs something to pull herself up on; I've not seen her stand up from sitting yet. She still won't take that forst step, but if you stand her up and then let go, she says "go, go, go" which is quite funny(especially as she has no intention of going anywhere)

hope everyone had a good day; the lido sounds good bumper. There is a lido in Otley, about 10 miles from here and we keep meaning to go but never get organised or the weather isn't that great.

sputnik, I hope baby sputnik is OK.

JBM, good to hear from you; you've been in my thoughts a lot over the last few days

blardy football...the telly is rubbish tonight.

Sputnik · 08/06/2008 21:00

I wouldn't mind but it's just a couple of weeks since he cut the last lot, and that was hell.

How are you doing Norty?

LittleMissNorty · 08/06/2008 21:04

Hi all.....glad you had a good day Daisy

Sputnik - that's how it goes with DD...teeth move around - we have a week from hell, couple of weeks break, teeth cut (no problem) then a week later back to square one! Hope DS is ok.

My anxiety seems much better today, although I threw up ALL of my BBQ lunch earlier and don't know if its due to pg or anxiety . Got to tell work tomorrow that the hospital have cancelled my op due to no beds .....also have felt very "normal" today IYKWIM, so have ordered a clearblue digital test to come with my shopping in the morning

lackaDAISYcal · 08/06/2008 21:06

the Breakfast Club is just starting on ITV3.....was one of my favourite films as a youngster. Dare I watch, or am I just going to cringe at it now????

Someone was asking about Ria? I know her sister was coming over from Dubai for a good few weeks, so she is probably off being busy and catching up as I'm sure she said she hasn't seen her for years and years.

My new pooter has to go back ; there is a dead pixel in the middle of the screen and the light that tells you the wireless connection is working has given up the ghost after only four days.

LittleMissNorty · 08/06/2008 21:06

oh shit, got washing to hang out

a woman's work is never done......even at 9pm it would seem

LittleMissNorty · 08/06/2008 21:07

not PC world was it Daisy?

lackaDAISYcal · 08/06/2008 21:07

sorry about the puking norty....could be ms..or just a bug? It always kicked in around the six/seven week point with me.
