Same here Daisy - I don't think I'd have passed otherwise

BTW if you do get a P&T I'd recommend the cocoon for a tiny. We had one on loan and it was really useful. And we have a spare rain cover (designed for E3 in doubles mode but we've used it sucessfully on the Sport in singles mode) I could let you have.

lackaDAISYcal · 02/06/2008 20:23

thanks for that Jammy. I might take you up on it for the raincover, although we were looking at a package type deal so hopefully we'll get one included.

I have just agreed to become an agent for Usbourne Books so if anyone wants any books, I'm your woman

FrazzledFairyFay · 02/06/2008 20:28

I'm not certain whether we have isofix either, but could find out if need be .

Very of Bumper seeing SATC movie

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 02/06/2008 20:36

Yeah well I can't even fucking go to my theory test in the morning anyway. Dp has just said that he has a meeting and I didn't tell him. I fucking told him when I opened the letter as it is at 8.30 in the morning so he could watch the dcs. I am livid as he is now blaming me for expecting him to stop work to help me. He has just said that I should have asked someone that doesn't work to have the kids! Well who the fuck is that then? I don't even know anyone that doesn't work.

I can't reschedule now as it is too late and I am going to lose the test fee.

AAAARRRRSSSSEEEE!!!!

I'm going to bed.

lackaDAISYcal · 02/06/2008 20:38

bumper I missed your post, sorry

Glad DD is feeding again; maybe just wait till she asks for it then?

Am also of S&TC movie. I was invited along with a friend tomorrow night as well, but no babysitter .

so when I get my Usbourne starter pack through, will you all come to my on-line book party! There'll be virtual wine and Waitrose nibbles

lackaDAISYcal · 02/06/2008 20:40

holly . Get your DP to pay for the next one and buy you something nice as well to boot. Can you not do it on-line, distance learning wise?

FrazzledFairyFay · 02/06/2008 20:45

I'll come to your party Daisy, we love Usborne books in this house. I have toyed with being a rep too - I got the info pack but never quite signed up.

FrazzledFairyFay · 02/06/2008 20:46

A R S E Holly

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 02/06/2008 20:48

No, you have to go to the test centre. It is like a proper exam. There are two parts- a theory test, which is multiple choice and a hazard awareness test which is done on a computer. The test fee is £30, which I now have to forfeit, so I have to wait til at least next week to rebook because we have no money. There is a two week wait for a new appt, so it all fucks up my timings and lessons. It means that I'm going to have to book another 2 2 hour lessons with my instructor at £45 a go as well.

I'm crying now with anger.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 02/06/2008 20:55

That's pants Holly! I'd be livid if it were me.

FrazzledFairyFay · 02/06/2008 20:55

huge GGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR to your DP

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 02/06/2008 21:03

I am sleepy. Time for bed I think. Night all.

BumperliciousNeedsToSleep · 02/06/2008 21:10

As it's all done online any chance you could take the DC's Holly? Arse for you, wish we all lived closer sometime.

I'm having a mini iq party on Thursday. I only booked it as I went to one at someone else's and they got a free book or something. Anyway, I think I've only got 3 mums coming [sad loser emoticon]

Good luck with your venture daisy

BumperliciousNeedsToSleep · 02/06/2008 21:14

You don't get a proper hostess gift though, you get 15% off and that's only if your guests spend at least £70 [grr]. At least with Ann Summers you actually get a free gift as well as a discount.

foxythesnowfox · 02/06/2008 21:30

Evening everyone.

I second FairyFays GRRRRRRRR to your DP Holly. That is shite.

Bumper I'm still good for thte 18th if you are

We went to Legoland today. Am very knackered, but had a good day. Theme parks aren't really my thing (hate being herded, hate queueing, hate the obscene amount everything costs) but we had a good day. Kids loved it. DD1 was too small for some of the rides . They wouldn't let her on, and she was SO upset "I know I'm not big enough, but I am SO brave. They don't know how brave I am" . She is actually very brave and loves the water flume ride at Chessington. Which is far bigger and scarier anyway!

shit. Daisy reminded me, gotta get the uniform ready

BumperliciousNeedsToSleep · 02/06/2008 21:36

Aw poor DD foxy. How come they were off today?

18th is good for me - very excited!

Right, I'm off. DH and I have reinstated the no technology after 10pm rule in an effort to help us sleep better and actually communicate. Better give him a go on the laptop.

Night lovely ladies x

lackaDAISYcal · 02/06/2008 21:48

so if we are convening on London on the 18th, does that mean mass meet up on the 19th then?

And where are we meeting up?

Andie, will that give you time to get unpacked etc from your hols? It isn't going to be too much, me and two DCs turning up on the 18th? and staying a few nights

lackaDAISYcal · 02/06/2008 21:49

ooh, hi foxy

glad you had a nice day, but poor DD1 . I hope she had a nice time regardless of not getting on the rides though.

FrazzledFairyFay · 02/06/2008 21:53

for DD1, Foxy. My DD is a wimp and doesn't really want to go on anything, much to my frustration .

foxythesnowfox · 02/06/2008 22:01

well we shall go together FairyFay! I can wimper with your DD and you and my DD can screaaaaam on all the rides

I had to go on the rollercoaster 3 times as it was 1:1 ration. It was too fast for me, the boys were laughing at me.

Bear in mind that this is the rollercoaster they let DD on!

Had I paid for her to get in I would have been mighty pissed off. But I lied about her age

Was still £60 to get in. Then £40 for the queue-jumper device, which you pay per person, so I paid that for her, and they wouldn't let her on. Grrr.

Well, not really grr as I didn't pay for her to get in I suppose...

foxythesnowfox · 02/06/2008 22:03

18/19 is a Monday and Tuesday, yes?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 02/06/2008 22:11

I have been to bed and got up again. Chuckles, aka ds, has decided it's not time to sleep right now, it's time to poke mummy in the eyes and phsl! I got pissed off and brought us both back downstairs!

Bless your dd foxy, she sounds like fun! I lurve fast rides, the faster the better! My dd is a bit of a pussy, well a lot of a pussy atch! She won't even go on the swings because they are too scary ! Glad you had a good time.

Bless you bumper, I wish we all lived in the same town each other. Then we could have our own special club, like nct, but better!

I am not talking to dp now. He is seriously in my bad books. I didn't talk to him for most of the weekend, but I don't think he realised. Maybe I should turn into a screaming banshee type, then at least I might get noticed!

foxythesnowfox · 02/06/2008 22:18

They like us ignoring them. Perhaps they piss us off deliberately. Gives them some peace.

My DP is being a bit of a twunt. Nothing too twuntish, but being a grumpy old git. Finding something negative to say about everything. Its really wearing.

Holly, don't stop talking to him. Stop cooking for him. (I deleted 'and washing' because if he's anything like my DP he wouldn't be bothered by that either )

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 02/06/2008 22:24

Oh yes foxy, good idea. I don't think he's cooked a meal that wasn't oven chips or pasta with a jar of sauce for years. I guess that would get pretty tedious after a few days!

I honestly don't think he's realised I'm pissed off with him. I was seething with him after he got home at 3.50 saturday morning and slept most of saturday, then he went and played golf from 9am-3.30pm on sunday and now this theory test stuff. I really feel like punching him, hard.

Hope your dp is less twunty tomorrow, fingers crossed!

foxythesnowfox · 02/06/2008 22:30

He's just being a miserable old bastard really

Can you make it for the meet-up Holly?
