Ooh, lucky you! Do you feel 'normal' again? I always do after a good blow-out. Not that normal is pissed ...

Glad you enjoyed it. Now, will you stop drinking, or carry on? That's always a dilemma

HellHathNoFury · 31/05/2008 20:27

Oh I feel pretty normal!

I suppose in a way I have felt 'normal' for a while as I have been going to quite a few parties and work drinks and things. I suppose I am quite lucky really, also having such a supportive and involved DH helps.

I did feel a bit guilty though sitting outside puffing away with a glass in my hand while DH was single-handedly giving DS his tea and bathing him etc

Booze took my mind off the pain in my foot too which helped

HellHathNoFury · 31/05/2008 20:56

I kill threads

foxythesnowfox · 31/05/2008 20:57

Oh God! Don't go getting pissed and paranoid!

I'm off as Nancy result show is on and I can't spend another evening on here. Oh and my children are awake

HellHathNoFury · 31/05/2008 21:14

I want to go to a boot sale tomorrow but DH won't let me go because of my foot

Izzybel · 31/05/2008 23:00

Hiya!
DD has had a lovely day at her party, although she went to bed a teensy bit earlier than usual, as she was knackered from all the excitement! It has been a really lovely day weather-wise too, so we all sat in the garden. It already looks as if she is going to be spoilt on Monday, with all the presents she has recieved, but not yet opened.
Norty, I hope your DD had a lovely day at her birthday party
Bumper and Fairy, hope you had a nice time at the weddings that you went to.
Fury, sorry about your foot and that you can't go to the car boot sale

Hi to everybody else

lackaDAISYcal · 31/05/2008 23:16

hi izzy, sounds like a good day

We have been in the garden all afternoon. It's looking much much better. Only one area to sort out before the party next week, but the weather isn't looking too promising.

Did more planting as well; cabbages, brocolli, basil and six types of pepper/chilli as well as planting out my courgettes and tomatoes and putting some in growbags in the greenhouse.

DD had an absolute ball, and everytime DH dug a hole, she crawled into it. she also spent a lot of time sat in the sandpit (one of those ladybird shaped ones) grinning at the world.

I missed the nancy results show, but poor DS was crying after the first show when Samantha got knocked out, bless him. Please tell me Jessie didn't win

Izzybel · 31/05/2008 23:33

Sounds like you've been busy Daisy!
Hope the sun shines on you next weekend
It made it so much easier today, the weather being nice, as all the crap was kept outside. It has been crap all week though, and just really brightened up today, so hope it does the same for you

annobal · 01/06/2008 05:20

Hello! Anyone around? How is everyone?

Sorry for the radio silence - Mum and Dad have missed the computer age so am at my sister's to catch up on my emails. I'm really looking forward to getting into our own place and getting access whenever I want it!

We're all really well. Missing you guys. We take over the house on Tuesday. It has been tenanted for a few years so is sorely in need of a lick of paint. We should have moved in by mid June hopefully - I think the novelty of having the youngest home might have worn off a little. Apart from that life has been really busy getting things organised. Boys are really well and flourishing under the extra influences (not all good, believe me). DS3 is still sitting on his bum and refuses to crawl but is being generally amused by his brothers and life in general. I'm really missing London and everyone - not so sure that I slot back in to the same hole that I left 12 years ago but I guess it is a change for everyone.

The weather is really lovely here still - seems to be alternating with pouring rain and sunshine, even though winter is fast approaching.

Happy birthday to DS, Daisy.

Catch up again soon...xxxxx

TALLULAHBELLE · 01/06/2008 09:32

Hey Annobal - am heading your way in a few weeks. Will be in touch, hopefully we can meet for coffee at some point.

Sputnik · 01/06/2008 10:05

Nice to hear from you Annobal

BumperliciousNeedsToSleep · 01/06/2008 10:57

Hi all

Hi annobal - lovely to hear from you, glad all is going ok. Look forward to you coming back to us full time!

Fury, how are you feeling today? I drank the best part of a bottle of wine yesterday, very unusual for me post baby! Feel fine though thanks to milk thistle capsules.

The feeding situation is deteriorating here. DD hasn't bfed since yesterday morning. Tried this morning and she just bit me again. This is not fun. But I don't think this is her weaning though, as it is very rare to self-wean this early

lackaDAISYcal · 01/06/2008 11:42

hi annobal . lovely to hear from you. Looking forward to you coming back to us on a more regular basis

bumper, sorry to hear about DD . Not sure what to suggest. It is rare to self wean this early, but maybe the fact she has been getting milk from other sources has put her off?

I can't effing believe it. DS has been sitting on the sofa playing with a toy and watching TV and he's effing wet himself . I don't know what gets into that child. We have been having a really lovely morning, we're actively trying to give him as much attention as possible; DH and DD are out and we have just had a lovely chilled out time, played some games, had a good chat. What does he effing want from me?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 01/06/2008 13:23

Afternoon.

Annobal, good to hear from you. Hope you get sorted and back online properly soon.

Bumper and Daisy - sorry to hear about your feeding/wetting related problems. Nothing constructive to say I'm afraid, but hope things improve for you both.

I've just taken the jamlet for a nice walk - 7.5 miles! I was worried she'd get fed up (we were out 3 hours) but she was really good, only grizzling a bit when she stuck her sockless foot out and caught a stinging nettle But a kiss from mummy and a slice of apple sorted her out

andiem · 01/06/2008 13:59

afternoon all

back from very sunny and hot greece all had a fab time especially lo. He went to baby club in the mornings and was a real star the nannies couldn't believe he is never left
he absolutely loved the beach and would happily crawl into the sea

bumper my ds1 self weaned at 11mths he just sat up one night when I went to feed him before bed and would not latch on so that was it I know you may not want to stop at the moment but it is easier if they choose to do it themselves

daisy sorry to hear about ds have dtae been confirmed for the meet up yet

hi jammy good on you for long walk it is very muggy here today

andiem · 01/06/2008 14:00

sorry annobal didn't mean to ignore you hi hope you are getting sorted down under

Sputnik · 01/06/2008 14:47

Glad you had a good time Andiem. Very jealous as I love Greece, and we were thinking it would be nice to go there again, but probably won't be going anywhere this summer though.

Bumper, I think Andiem is right in that around now is an age when they get distracted easily or may refuse the breast. I have a friend whose 2 weaned themselves around this age. It's kind of a window of opportunity if you were thinking of stopping, as it does get harder later. If you want to carry on though you probably can. Is she teething and needs something to bite on? Have you tried feeding in a dark and quiet place for minimum distraction? Hope you can sort it.

Daisy, sympathy about your DS.

andiem · 01/06/2008 15:11

hi sputnik we love greece too but think I may have overdone the greek salad

Sputnik · 01/06/2008 15:57

Just caught up with your FB video Daisy, pmsl.

DD and DH just made some vanishing oat cookies, they are vanishing!

foxythesnowfox · 01/06/2008 20:41

helllloooo, is anyone there?!

I fucking hate bedtime.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 01/06/2008 20:47

Hi Foxy, what happened at bedtime then?

foxythesnowfox · 01/06/2008 20:50

They just don't go to sleep. I can hear them chatting. They NEED to sleep. I've told them we're not going to Legoland tomorrow if they don't get to sleep. It'll be 9pm before they go now, at the earliest.

It pisses me off. Up and down the stairs for two hours. Night after sodding night.

Sorry. But its because the treat of tomorrow is at stake and it doesn't matter to them.

They are very lovely, lucky children. They really do have a good time, we try really hard to make lovely memories for them.

I'm pissed off. But thanks for listening.

Am going to speak to them again.

Anyway, how are you Jammy?

justbeme · 01/06/2008 20:53

Hellooo Foxy! and anyone else!

Belated "Hi" to Annobal
Sounds like you had a good time Andiem
Daisy, if it carries on, it could be stress/anxiety related?? Hope it was a one off though. My nephew went through a phase of this when he was about 8 or so. So carry on with the praise for good behaviour etc.

Jammy, you are very good walking that far! and poor Jamlets foot!! Bless her!

and Im sure you'll get good advice on here Bumper.

I stayed at a friends last night in Calne - I had the worst nights sleep since Lucy was born!! Didnt go to bed till 00:30, and then L wriggled so much in her travel cot, it was rustling like mad. then she decided that she could make a nice noise running her nails down the netting. I reckon I got a couple of broken hours sleep - so an early night for me tonight!!
(I thought of you Fury when I went through Reading and Jammy when I went through Oxford (Is that right?) and B in Wiltshire!! But not enough time in the day .... The drive home was abit bad as I was soooooo tired.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 01/06/2008 20:55

Aw Foxy. I'm sorry things aren't all rosy with the foxcubs. I think I'd be p'd off too if my children didn't seem to appreciate special treats. And don't apologise for ranting

I'm fine thanks, though I'm a bit smelly and my legs ache after a long walk today. But I shall go have a nice bath shortly adn then all will be well again.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 01/06/2008 20:56

Hi JBM. Almost right with Oxford, we're not far away. I hate driving when I'm tired.
