Pouring with rain here too. No idea what to do today.

Hi Bugmum, lovely to see you.

Eddas, hope ds is ok today.

All ok here. Dh having a lie in today so am on duty. K still coughing her head off poor love.

WaspElly · 26/05/2008 08:07

Gosh been waaaay out of touch for so long, but congrats to NGT/GT amongst others!

Well our big news is that we're moving to Devon (DH's home village) at the end of this week (anyone spot packing avoidance tactics here?) House not sold but rented out to friends so we're renting there.

Love to all

Sexonlegs · 26/05/2008 08:13

Wow WaspElly, how lovely to see you! Where in Devon are you moving too?

liath · 26/05/2008 08:34

Hi Bugmum and Waspelly - good luck with the move, Waspelly.

I am very jealous of DH today. He was up at the crack of dawn to drive to the West coast where he is going to spend the day on a Sea-King helicopter flying over the Highlands and Islands in glorious weather being all heroic and being winched in and out etc. It's all to do with his new job as he's doing part-time helicopter retieval work on top of his regular job. I'm married to a complete adrenalin junkie. I have the horrible feelig that my children have inherited this and are going to spend their formative years scaring the sh*t out of me by taking up rock-climbing and hanging off cliff by their toes.

CaptainDippy · 26/05/2008 09:08

Ooooh, nice to "see" Bugmum and Waspelly - exciting news about house moves

Congratulations to goodtiming I'll witter on about small age gaps til the cows come home if you would like me too!!

Eddas - have texted you; but I am randomly coming to your area today and neeeeed to find something to doooooooo in yukky rain Plans have gone a bit skew-wiff today. Was meeting an old friend in a park in London, but weather's put paid to that so she is buzzing back to where she lives in Maidstone and I need to find something to dooooooooo - You are welcome to join us if you are free!!!?

StealthPolarBear · 26/05/2008 09:09

Morning everyone
Hi Bugmum and WaspElly
oooggs - to sleeping through
Sol - poor K athough lol at the snot bubble, T managed some huge ones! His cough has really lingered, I thought it would be gone by now but they do, don't they
liath - your DH's new job sounds very exciting!
T has been walking the last few days - on Saturday he would take a few steps alone if he started off holding my fingers. Yesterday I could put him down, standing, and he would walk a fair distance! At one point I was putting the washing out and had shut him in the dining room (weedkiller on grass). He went to a chair in the middle of the room and got the lid off the peg box and then walked over to the patio doors with it - looking as though he was bringing it for me. He had a little tantrum when I still wouldn't let him come out

CaptainDippy · 26/05/2008 09:09

WOW to what your DH is doing today Liath!!

StealthPolarBear · 26/05/2008 09:10

Morning Dippy

CaptainDippy · 26/05/2008 09:12

Morning SPB - T sounds so sweet Yey to walking

mammyjo · 26/05/2008 09:58

WooooHoooo! Congratulations GT I am so so pleased for you, look after yourself xxx

Lovely to see Bugmum and WaspElly

SPB, bless little T. I have a feeling that F is going to be a tantrum kind of girl. She already arches and flings herself if I dont let her/stop her doing something she wants to do! I am told that it is a girl thing as ds was never like that!

Lol at bubble snot

Not much happening here today. Weather is pants, windy and very rainy. Taking a trip to toys r us for ds to swap a couple of birthday presents that he had doubles of. I have such excitement in my life!

One good thing though, I was looking on the nhs jobs website and have found a job that I like the look of! Promotion, and out of the unit I am currently working in. Have part filled in the application online and will call the contact person to express and interest and get some info tomorrow. Quite excited about it tbh! May not be for me, but there is no harm in finding out! Anything has to better than my vile boss

Doobydoo · 26/05/2008 10:40

Eddas · 26/05/2008 11:00

morning

I think ds is reacting to the mmr. Ocurred to me last night after he'd been sick in his cot the nurse said reaction could happen after 7-10 days but his temp was raised on day 5. Today is day 7 but it can't be coincidence can it? Have doen an mn search(goold old mn) and lots of threads for is it/isn't it an mmr reaction and ds sounds like them. Children will react at different times I suppose.

DH has taken them both to soft play. The weather is terrible here today. So i'm off for a shower and then will potter doing a few jobs

oooggs · 26/05/2008 11:12
