B had her MMR today - I would take him tomorrow Eddas if I were you - and I know exactly what you mean about preferring to go to work and be called than not turn in at all.
Leaky - thanks for saying you would give me a job Sorry to hear you are having a tough time, hope things get better soon. Have you made contact with a new HV there?

Doobydoo · 29/05/2008 21:25

Hi All.Had quick skim so apologies in advance if left anyone out.Hope the job interviews and applications go well.
Hope all the babies who have had jabs are feeling better soon.
Hope we all get some darn kip
M awake at 4am and wouldn't go back to sleep.Took him to docs as day 11 of abs ears still inflamesDoc said maybe allergy and suggested 2.5 mls of phenergan a night for 3 weeks then go back and if cleared will mean allergy?Read info on leaflet and says not to give 2 under 2's as can cause fatal respiratoey suppression! After 2 they can have 5mls and i know he looked in Mims but have decided not to give it will be too anxious do you think i am over reacting?
Anyway.Off to bed in half an hour.Have agood night all

Doobydoo · 29/05/2008 21:26

to inflames meant inflamed

NorthernLurker · 29/05/2008 21:29

I don't think you are over-reacting - the GP has made a determination of what is a safe dose but he should have shared his thinking with you so YOU could decide if you were happy with it. Maybe ring the surgery tomorrow for a chat? I would tend towards giving it to my child - but only because I could first talk it through with my ils - pa in law is a pharmacist and ma in law a nurse, formerly a health visitor!

Doobydoo · 29/05/2008 21:31

Thanks NL Will ring em tomorrow.I used to be a paed nurse but find it no help with my own kidsThe pharmacist said to give as required and when i said it's for 3 weeks she looked abit surprised.

StealthPolarBear · 29/05/2008 21:32

Not over reacting IMO dooby, hope you can get someone to tell you more!
Did I mention I have my little boy back
And my pump (presumably) works fine - just took it apart and realised I'd put the valve in the wrong way round

Doobydoo · 29/05/2008 21:33

Ahhh SPB Bet you are DELIGHTED!!!!!!Bet T is too.

Eddas · 29/05/2008 21:40

dooby, if i'd read that i'd definately not give it.

Thanks for the reassurance re the nursery. oooggs it had crossed my mind to run like the wind and hope for the best but I will show it to them. NL glad you see what i meanre turning in to work. I will warn them first thing that I may happen. If they turn ds away from nursery i'll roll up to work with him in tow and show the boss his rash

SPB, i love the feeling of getting dc back after a break, but tis short lived with dd as she's normally tired because she's been up late and allowed to do what she wants by PIL but that's what being grandparents is for

Leaky i meant to say earlier, good luck for tomorrow's appointment

StealthPolarBear · 29/05/2008 21:45

lol Eddas
Off to watch him sleep
Goodnight x

SparklyPrincess · 29/05/2008 21:50

Hi, can I join the club, please?

DD2 was born April '07. She's nearly walking. Has been doing a few steps all on her own today. Not really saying anything yet, think she's trying to say big sis' name.

SP xx

Eddas · 29/05/2008 21:54

hi sp lovely to meet another april 07 mum

when is dd's bday? how old is dd1?

we ask lots of questions

elkiedee · 29/05/2008 22:10

Welcome SP.

Sexonlegs · 29/05/2008 22:18

Hellooooo

Just dropping in before dropping in to bed. Dh thinks he is in for a shag. Sorry, I am so crude!

Welcome SP. We need details

NL, fab news that you are being interviewed. Good luck - you really deserve it.

SPB, bless your heart. You sound over the moon. Hope the love affair lasts

Eddas, ikwym re the return of dc! Although to be fair, I think we have turned a corner with B. She seems to be a changed girly. Re the rash, I would echo the others and take him in. You have been upfront with nursery, he has no temperature, and is more than likely related to the MMR jab.

Dooby, blimey. I too would have a chat again with a HP before giving M that. Hope you get some answers.

Leaky, good luck at the docs tomorrow.

Hope everyone else is well. See you in the morning.xx

elkiedee · 29/05/2008 22:19

Goodnight SOL< have fun

Eddas · 29/05/2008 22:50

sol, you make me laugh i knew you'd see my pov re dd glad b is different now. Do i really have to wait a year(til she's 5) for it to change i'm thinking dd has got a bit cocky being the oldest at preschool and will get a shock when she goes to school. bless her.

Am still up doing some work atm i'm such a plank

Forgot to say earlier, the car is back and fix. We're £250 lighter needs must

Right, just gonna shut the files and shuffle some more paper then go to bed

night x

StealthPolarBear · 30/05/2008 08:17

Morning all. NL, fab news about the interview! Lots of luck for it

Leaky, hope your appointment goes well today xxx

SP, welcome to the thread

SOL, hope you (or maybe more so your dh!) had a good evening

Nothing much to say here. At home with dc's, hoping weather will stay dry so we can get out of the house for a few hours later.

NorthernLurker · 30/05/2008 09:08

who wants to know what I'm eating for breakfast?

StealthPolarBear · 30/05/2008 09:28

me!

mammyjo · 30/05/2008 09:32

I have had a large cup of tea and a slice of malt loaf (the soreen stuff which is surprisingly low in fat!). Not particularly healthy, but quick and yummy!

NorthernLurker · 30/05/2008 09:36

Ok - well it was yummy.....

M&S summerfruit pudding and cream

mammyjo · 30/05/2008 09:45

Oh NL Very naughty! I am extremely jealous of you though, no cream for me just now!

mammyjo · 30/05/2008 09:46

Yay, F's passport has just arrived! We can legally go on holiday now! Have decided that we are going to go, no surgery for a while anyway. I am feeling ok this week, have started taking my anti-spasmodic drugs regularly instead of when I feel pain and they are definitely helping. Think I need the break away tbh.
