We definitely won't be visiting PJ as C does have chicken pox. We are going to see how bad he is in the morning as not got loads of spots yet and only feels a bit warm. Depening on how many more spots there are and how he is feeling we may go to Liverpool anyway - just not to visit anyone!

cameroonmama · 24/05/2008 06:37

oh no,poor Callum, now I feel bad for joking about it I hope its a mild one.

AprilMeadow · 24/05/2008 09:01

Belated birthday wishes to Cruz (cant believe that i forgot him!)

Happy Birthday to Matilda

Oh no Sky poor little C. Hope they dont get too bad for him.

Creena, hope your dd had a lovely birthday.

Have decided that my M&P Luna is crap after E nearly fell out of it whilst tryingto grab something off a shelf yesterday. I have ordered a bumper bar (not as lucky as LATL) £20 and just hope it might keep her in better, if not then i will be ebaying it and trying to find a suitable alternative!

Went to London last night with dh to a party of one of his 'industry' friends. I hate London! Nightmare to drive to and from and the club was tiny small and packed. It was the Kingly Club just round the corner from Kingly Street. Think someone said it used to be called the Pimlico Club that was famous in the '60's... Spent most the night outside as you couldnt hear yourself speak and it was hot! Had a few cocktails, no idea what was in them but they were nice . Got home at 1.20 and was up with E at 7.30.

Hope you all have good weekends. I am off to meet someone to measure for blinds in the new place then go choose a carpet and then head to see LG&T and SOH

twelveyeargap · 24/05/2008 09:13

A private members club. I used to get my nails done at the place opposite, back in the days when I could pop to the West End for a manicure. I rang the place the other day to make an appt for next week only to find that it's changed hands. Just goes to show how long it's been since I went there!

Have found somewhere local which offers the same services (toenail extensions since I broke both my big toenails... I know, slightly bonkers/ pathetic) and everlasting polish. S is going to mind A for a few hours next Weds (mid term break) so I can go. Slightly nervous since she hasn't had to babysit properly while A is awake, but I'm going to leave A's lunch ready and a schedule of things for her to remember. I'm sure she'll be fine. Honest...

Creena · 24/05/2008 09:59

Hope little C is better soon Sky.

Hey April! Thanks for your good wishes. I can't believe where the last 17 years have gone. She's really looking forward to her birthday although she's just started a weekend job at a local country club/hotel as a chambermaid. I have had to have a little chat with her about how she'll have to tidy and hoover and make beds properly (not like how she does with her own room)! She'll be working from 9 till 2 on Saturdays and Sundays and will get £50 for a weekend's work. I think she's already planned how to spend it in TopShop! When she gets home from work tomorrow, we're going to have a big family lunch together followed by some birthday cake. As she's on half term from college next week, I've said that we'll go over to Birmingham so she can spend her birthday moolah in Selfridges and the big TopShop. I think that's what she's looking forward to the most!

largeginandtonic · 24/05/2008 10:42

Happy birthday to Sienna, Cruz, Cole and Mathilda!

I have the lovely SOH with her dh and little M. Ohmigod she is so adorable, i am keeping her. They got here about midnight, not too bad a trip i dont think.

I had the day from hell, work followed by dash to appeal and then dash home to pack up car then dash off to.... sit n fecking traffic. It was awful! It took me 3 hours to get to the meet point and an hour and a half back. Caravans everywhere!!!! Gah!

The appeal was ok ithink, we met the headteacher before we went in and she was giving us tips Find out next week so fingers crossed please

LW B will be lucky if he gets a present, we ordered his but it has not turned up yet! Poor neglected child.

Am off to yap with SOH ON MY COUCH!

LG&T & SOH, am so sorry that i have had to pull out. Dh is in a foul mood and started spouting about how he works, cleans {blah blah blah} and i just swan off to see friends and havent done anything round the house......... he has gone out with ds so i am determined to have the house spotless by the time he gets back.

AbbyLou · 24/05/2008 12:36

Oh my God I am in love - with Scoot and the doughnuts!!

MKG · 24/05/2008 12:43

Good morning all! I am preparing myself to spend the better part of the day slaving away in the kitchen for Cruz's party. Am actually very exciting on Menu today is

Thyme and Lime chicken,
Southwestern veggie lasagne
scalloped broccoli and corn
7-layer dip
strawberry cake with strawberry cream cheese frosting.

OK I'm off.

But first who is this Duffy girl that's on VH1 all the time and would you please take her back?

AprilMeadow · 24/05/2008 12:43

so they were definately worth the wait

cameroonmama · 24/05/2008 22:36

at Abby.

Am a bit psished. Been out with a wholeload of grannies to watch a sort of AmDram Cole Porter production, which wa s fun in an Amdram kind of way. Most exciting was the 19 year old oby flirting with me, asking for tips about girls he wanted to knwo why we like tall dark and hadnsome guys and what are smouldering eyes. I think he was playing me Still, I say send your boys to Harrow if they all turn out like that....

Happy Birthday to Tilda.

Hope you are having fun LG&T and SOH Hope there is not too much waving around of instruments. April, sorry you couldn't go too.

largeginandtonic · 25/05/2008 08:58

ShowOfHands · 25/05/2008 09:14

You drunken lush .

LG&T, ScaryDH and the delectable Beau are doing a fab job of putting up with us. LG&T is not faring too well with early pg hormones and really shouldn't be playing host to two yokels and their exuberant offspring. I feel mightily guilty for imposing.

I have met the largest, hairiest creature to ever inhabit suburbia. Honestly, I've never seen one bigger. You do not know what these people have lurking in their garden.

We're leaving the Tank here, she adores LG&T and has asked that she adopt her...

MKG · 25/05/2008 14:40

SOH don't feel bad, LG&T would still feel like crap even if you weren't there. So live it up!

Dinner went well, and so delicious! Except for almost no one came. I got a call at 2pm from sil saying that she wasn't coming (she told me earlier in the week and just wanted to confirm) she then told me that other sil might not come either. So I got all mad that I made enough food to feed an army, but they arrived 30 min late and it was a nice dinner.

On a whole Cruz is a well adapted young boy with lots of people who love him, and I'm about to post some pictures.

Oh and on the Duffy front, she's fine but every five minutes I hear "I'm begging you for mercy" on the tv.

MKG · 25/05/2008 16:34

OK I got one on. Now off to work I go. Hi ho Hi ho

AbbyLou · 25/05/2008 22:36

The KKs are gone. Scoot you are a star! Thanks honey, I've emailed you.

MKG · 26/05/2008 15:08

Is there anybody out there

Madamejaffa · 26/05/2008 16:05

It's bank holiday today in the UK MKG, all our lovely Mummys probably have, guests, BBQs, dh's home, meals out and exciting things like that.

I've heard the weather is fantastic too.

AprilMeadow · 26/05/2008 16:29
