madeindevon2 · 22/05/2008 14:22

hey scoot! sry to hear you have been sick.

waiting with baited breath lg&t...

twelveyeargap · 22/05/2008 14:24

LG&T - Are you telling us you're having twins or am I missing something here???

Scoot - Endoscopy isn't too bad. Had one years ago and managed fine, even without sedation. Have they ruled out infection? I think there are a few which can cause symptoms like this. (Apologies for armchair diagnoses... I get annoyed on behalf of others when they are waiting to know what's wrong with them!)

Pinkjenny · 22/05/2008 14:29

Scoot - so sorry to hear you're not feeling good, but how we have missed you! Glad to have you back.

Sky - any time, honestly, my lovely.

Now look SOH, I have only been to A&E five times. Once when she fell off the bed, and the other four times with the rashes and blackcurrant tart poo. Surely, you just can't take a chance with a rash. Stop teasing me. Just because I got an invite to the Christmas party.

LG&T - if you have twins, will you post one to me? I promise not to teach them scouse.

ShowOfHands · 22/05/2008 14:39

M's been to A&E 3 times PJ. Twice she's stopped breathing and needed nebulisers and steroids for a poorly chest and once the GP sent her because her temp wouldn't come down from 102 with Ibuprofen and Calpol (had double ear infection).

So, I'm not far behind you and I was only teasing. I think you can never be too mad careful with your gorgeous PFB. Don't listen to the voices in your head mocking, you do what you think is best.

DD been up since the sparrow's fart and not had a nap. She's buzzing adorable.

((((((((Scoot))))))))

Pinkjenny · 22/05/2008 14:54

Ooooh SOH - L goes all manic when she hasn't had a nap, with a really demonic expression. Its terrifying hilarious.

ShowOfHands · 22/05/2008 15:18

DD just giggles and falls down a lot. Then giggles again. She's ticklish when tired too.

Roses just delivered to my door with a lovely card. Norty dh.

Pinkjenny · 22/05/2008 15:20

Oh dh is adorable. My dh is a knob. I love roses.

Yeah Lexie falls a lot when she is tired, and becomes very accident prone, banging into things and the like.

cameroonmama · 22/05/2008 15:40

Scoot so sorry to hear you are ill, following on from TYG's armchair diagnoses, I have plenty of experience and it sounds like amoebic dysentary Have you been anywhere dodgy like a Maccy D's recently?

Happy birthday Alana Hope the party goes well Pebble.

So how many LG&T? Triplets? Just to keep you on your toes.

Fingers crossed Jam. Hopefully it's just growing pains.

I'm having a proud mummy moment, ds1 (4) who dh is convinced is pretty but dim, has just written his name on his own and drawn a spiderman below. Very impressive. His dsis could write her name joined up by now and read novels so he has some catching up to do.

I do confess that I don't much like Doodles....

JamInMyWellies · 22/05/2008 16:08

cam why dont you get him some little converse, v.v.v cute or go to the birkenstocks website its fab you can measure the length and width of your LO's feet and they will send the right size.

cameroonmama · 22/05/2008 16:44

ooo yes now you are talking Jam, being a Birkie kind of a mummy we could have matching pairs and they are great for fat feet like J has.

I meant to say a huge thanks to you all for your offers to send over shoes and stuff. Too kind. I know - its any excuse to go shopping

LG&T any news yet?? I am on tenterhooks...

Any suggestions on trying to stop J from standing up all the time in the bath? Everytime he plonks himself down he displaces half the bath water.

Jam, keep your chin up love, I meant to say I had regular cramps and backache til about 14 weeks with my first two. And even some spotting at 8 weeks. Could be nothing....

twelveyeargap · 22/05/2008 17:02

I thought "ooh yes, Birkis", but just read on the site that they don't recommend them for under 3's. Boo.

scootermum · 22/05/2008 17:13

Yes, Jam and me..back ache is how Ive known Im preggers first really..

TWINS!!?!

They havent mentioned any infections..but then they dont seem to have any idea really and Ive stopped googling now as the eye is naturally drawn to the really bad things rather than the more normal things that it probably is..paranoid, moi?

Has anyone any tips for stopping M eating everything.Every time I turn around she is eating something inappropriate.Cat litter.Sand.Soil.Tin foil.A dandelion.Gravel..She must have an iron stomach. Its driving me mental.

Cam=Jojo Maman Bebe have cute little soft canvas shoes that come in half sizes for only £6..and they are on the the net..they might do J?The stripey ones are very sweet..

MID!How are you?!Long time no see!

SKYTVADDICT · 22/05/2008 17:24

Jam - try not to worry - I know its really hard - when I was pregnant with C after the missed m/c we went into the scan expecting it to happen again. This time I had spotting and all sorts of aches and pains and really didn't expect to see anything at 12 week scan but here I am 28 weeks pregnant! Fingers crossed for you x

cameroonmama · 22/05/2008 17:33

Boo too, sadly the jojo ones are always too narrow for my bubbas Scoot, remember we are talking BIFFA here. What do you reckon to these Clarks Saturn Pre? Can't do a link as it is in a pop up.. Good or bad for fat feet?

Awww Scoot that is so cute, especially when it all pops straight back out in the nappy later. J loves dog biscuits. I just let him eat anything, as long as it isn't poisonous. I did draw the line at ds1 eating a giant land snail once in Cameroon. The crunching gave him away.

Sometimes googling is just not helpful Scoot. Don't do it.

twelveyeargap · 22/05/2008 17:41

Bath seat for Jasper. Would he fit in it though?

cameroonmama · 22/05/2008 17:48

Thanks TYG, we have two of these, he can fit in but is next to impossible to get out

JamInMyWellies · 22/05/2008 18:00

clarks is a bit rubbish for fat feet they tend do go up to H fitting we only just managed to squeeze the parchies fat feet in and I think J is even bigger than my monster.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts am just a pessimist at heart and cant help but think the worst, barrel of laughs me.

Megglevache · 22/05/2008 18:26

Happy Birthday Alana-May.

Madamejaffa · 22/05/2008 18:31

Happy Birthday Alana. xx

Hope everything OK with all those lovely growing bumps.

largeginandtonic · 22/05/2008 20:02

Yes calrks crappola for wide feeet, DD has very wide feet and a high instep, the Italian makes are good ad Buckle my shoe are fab.

Sccot you poor thing, i have no idea what it could be but am SURE it is nothing serious.

My hcg level came back as 256, now my rusty midwifery head thinks that puts me at about 4 weeks but with symptoms already. I am decidedly nervous

Cam B stands too, we have already seen him donk his front teeth off the side. He will not do as he is told. Put a little paddling pool in the back garden and let him bath in there

Well done for little B too Cam, smart lad is just bideing his time

Jam it is all ok, the backache is a common sign of stretching and growing as all the wise ladies have said already. Youknow i will pmsl when the transducer runs over your tummy to reveal twins...

Dh was watering the garden and sprayed the chooks (accident ) they hated it and ran. Try the hose on the Cocks on the wall, bet they soon stay away!

Pebblemum · 22/05/2008 22:57

Evening ladies

Thanks for the birthday wishes. Alana had a great day, lots of presents although i think her favourite was her Baby Born (from neighbour) and pram (from my sis). She spent most of the day cuddling the doll and trying to feed it the bottle, it was sooo cute to watch. SHe also loves her trike, can see me having to walk her everywhere in that from now on When we collected Ethan from nursery everyone sang her Happy Birthday while she smiled at them all. Her party went well and for once there was little mess and most of the food was eaten, no leftovers for Dh tonight lol. I am knackered though, feels as if i havent stopped all day. Didnt get to bed until 1am last night, was too busy wrapping presents and decorating the house and of course I was up at the crack of dawn to sort Jordan out (he had a school trip), since then ive been either tidying up, cooking or running around after everyone. I now have to blow up yet more balloons (dont think Jordan would appreciate Alana's pink ones lol) and decorate the house ready for Jordans birthday tomorrow I cant believe that this time last year I was gazing down at my beautiful 14hr old baby girl (while doubled up with afterpains lol) Even more unbelieveable is 11yrs ago I was still in labour 18hrs after my waters broke and I still had 4hrs to go (although i didnt know that at the time) before getting to meet Jordan for the first time

Ethan has been a right bugger today, he has been so hectic you would think he had been drinking gallons of fruit shoots and eating lots of E numbers. If he wasnt racing round getting in the way, he was annoying Alana. He managed to lock us out of the house, he has fallen and banged his head god knows how many times, argued with Jordan (although it was mainly Jordan winding him up). I think he may be feeling a bit left out because of all the attention Jordan and Alana are getting, poor boy has to wait til Sept 24th for his birthday although im glad hes wasnt born in May too otherwise I would have Alana, Jordan, him and my sister (25th)straight after each other and imagine what that would do to my bank balance lol

I did read everyones posts but for the life of me cant remember what was said not sure if its due to being so tired or the wine I have consumed but either way i will re-read the posts again in the morning when i can think straight. I will also try to upload some birthday pics too, wouldnt dare try tonight who knows what could happen lol

MKG · 23/05/2008 00:15

Oh I think the doodles are cute. I wonder if the Clarks in the mall has them. I don't really shop there much because once I went with my mom the charge her $18 for a pair of socks!

LG&T don't worry about your symptoms. I tend to get mine between 4-8 weeks and by week 9 they're gone.

Mateo is sick, poor kid, and I love it when he's sick. He's so affectionate, and quiet and just wants to snuggle.

AprilMeadow · 23/05/2008 08:14
