SKYTVADDICT · 23/05/2008 09:19

Sorry, Happy Birthday Cruz too.

We could also be writing that book Mrs JB - its a good job it has been warmish recently!

OMG LW, just looked at the facebook pictures - it will take all day to open those presents! Hope you have a lovely day and weekend.

Looks like we may be staying until Monday PJ - are you likely to be around then? DPs rellies are away so will be a bit more free than we thought.

cameroonmama · 23/05/2008 09:28

Happy Birthday Cruz and Lottie !

...and getting on a plane to Kenya.

Socks???? Who needs socks? Isn't it summer over there

Creena · 23/05/2008 09:34

A very happy first birthday to Charlotte and Cruz!! I hope you both have a wonderful day!

Scoot - I had no idea that you'd been so ill. You poor thing. I hope you start to pull through very soon. Sending you a comforting hug! Also, I know what you mean about LOs eating everything - C is exactly like that. So far, he's tried out the dubious culinary delights of potted plants together with the soil they sit in, the cat's dried food, blades of grass and his brother's Pom Bears. Yum.

April - yay! Excitement reigns in the Creena household! I will get straight on to J now and tell him that you're all sorted - do't do anything else until he's sent the money to your PayPal account.

It's my DD's birthday on Sunday. She'll be 17!! I had planned to pop into town today to pick up a few more pressies for her but it looks like it's going to tip down at any second. Looks like I'll be picking through the meagre wares of our local shops instead. Still, she's got a new mobile phone and webcam as well as a hefty voucher for TopShop, so I think she'll still be pleased with her presents.

Creena · 23/05/2008 09:39

Just thought - not sure if I'll be able to get online over the bank holiday weekend, so great big first birthday wishes in advance to;

Matilda (Cinnamontam) on the 24th, Sienna (Lilkel) on the 25th, Cole (Sumsey) on the 25th and of course Beau (LG&T) on the 26th. I hope you all have fantastic days!

Bensonbluebird · 23/05/2008 10:40

I go offline for 2 weeks (A had a horrible throat infection) and when I come back LG&T is expecting quins so she can catch up with the families in 13 kids and wanting more!(did you watch that last night?

I've got lots of birthday wishes to catch up on: Happy Birthday Cruz, Alana, Lottie, and because who knows when I'll be back; Matilda, Sienna, Cole and Beau!

Scoot, hope you get to find out what is wrong soon. When do you see the consultant?

Hope that summer has arrived with all of you too... just bought myself some sandals...

MKG · 23/05/2008 12:40

Happy Birthday to Charlotte!

Thank you everyone for your well wishes. Last year at this time, 7:30 am my time I was driving myself to the hospital to have a small bleed checked out. Little did I know Cruz would be here by 1:30pm. I remember it like it was yesterday, and am a little sad that his first year passed so quickly.

LookattheLottie · 23/05/2008 13:25

Afternoon!

We're having a great day so far, too many presents. Started unwrapping at 8am and we're not even half way through yet. And she's only been unwrapping some of mine and whatever's come through the post. My parents have a bundle for her, my sisters bought her a trampoline and my older sis is up tonight with stuff. Then she's got everyone coming tomorrow with gifts and the other half of mine to get through. I may faint!

She's having a nap just now, think I'm gonna head out to the shops with her later, I need something nice to wear tomorrow, and she has vouchers that need to be spent lol

Happy Birthday Cruz! x

Pinkjenny · 23/05/2008 13:31

Why does that cod person deliberately mix her words up? And why does OliviaJournalist have all her messages deleted.

Just wondering.

LW - we are surrounded by plastic crap toys since L's birthday. They have started to take over...

Pinkjenny · 23/05/2008 14:53

SOH and LG & T - please raise a glass for me tonight. I actually have a huge knot in my stomach I am so disappointed.

I even keep checking the flights!

SKYTVADDICT · 23/05/2008 14:56

We may be coming up for two nights PJ - unless I get home to find C covered in spots! He has had one spot for two days that the childminder and I agree looks likes a C pox spot!

Email me at [email protected] with your tel no. and if we get chance (DPs rellies all going away!) I will give you a ring to arrange a quick meet if you like.

Pinkjenny · 23/05/2008 15:00

Listen Sky - don't be riddling L with the pox!!!!

Will email now.

SKYTVADDICT · 23/05/2008 15:09

Don't worry PJ if there is any doubt then we will not even be coming away but will most definitely not be coming to see you

Pinkjenny · 23/05/2008 15:19

Ha ha.

ShowOfHands · 23/05/2008 15:35

Get on the farking plane woman.

Pinkjenny · 23/05/2008 15:36

Its now £298. I don't understand why its going up, I was convinced it would come down nearer the time.

Oh well, that's a lesson learnt.

SKYTVADDICT · 23/05/2008 15:51

I would have thought they would come down too PJ - don't they want to sell seats!

Happy birthday for over the weekend to Matilda, Sienna and Beau x

I'm looking forward to a weekend away I think but really not looking forward to going home tonight to pack!

Pinkjenny · 23/05/2008 15:54

If I don't manage to get on this weekend, Big Birthday Kisses to Matilda, Sienna and Beau.

xx

twelveyeargap · 23/05/2008 17:50

There's almost always someone desperate to fly at the last minute. Business people whose trains have been cancelled and so on. That's who the expensive flights are for. (For whom there are expensive flights? )

I'm tired. I don't want to DO this weekend.

Have a birthday cake, rocky road bars and marshmallow kripies to make tonight. Decorations to hang, food to prepare and "mocktails" to make tomorrow.

Had a row with DH over the fact that he said he was working late and it transpired that if he didn't have to stay late he was going out for a drink. If I hadn't had to call him about something to do later then I wouldn't have known this. I don't actually give a flying fart if he goes out. I just get totally, utterly pissed off that he can come and go as he pleases and I have to make an appointment for some time next week to wipe my own arse sans enfants. Harrumph. It's that sort of thing that makes me want to go back to work so I'd have a nanny to do overtime when I fancied going out for a drink after work and wouldn't have to "ask" DH at all. I had more freedom as a single parent because I always had tons of people who could babysit at a moment's notice. I have have had one night out since August 2006. And no, it doesn't help when DH says, "Well you wanted to have a baby." Arrrgghhhh.

Happy birthday to Cruz and Lottie. Who else do we have this weekend?

JamInMyWellies · 23/05/2008 18:01

Ah but TYG if you had a nanny she would charge you a mint for doing overtime, tis very lucrative nannying . Agree with you about going out cant actually remember when i last went out and had fun without it being a dinner or eve out with DP.

Hope the party goes well, just think in 20yrs time she will be telling everyone what a fab mum she has. You just have to get the next 10yrs of teenager angst out of the way.

Happy Happy birthday to the bank holiday babes.

Have a great weekend LG&T and SOH.

Also everyone else enjoy the bank holiday.

twelveyeargap · 23/05/2008 20:28

Mmmm, right this minute, I'd be quite happy to hand over my earnings for nanny overtime.

cameroonmama · 23/05/2008 20:37

Simple move to Kenya By the beginning of July I will have a full time ayah.

Good luck for the party, bet by the end of it S will think she has the coolest (and certainly the trendiest) mummy of all.

I hope SOH is not peeing at the side of dodgy petrol stations just now, or that M is not screaming her head off en route.

PMSL at the thought of Sky visiting Pink and then Callum coming down with chicken pox a few days later
