MJ here goes - thanks x

Anyone interested in swopping a quinny buzz plus cash for a phil and teds? quinny in excellant condition with raincover and buzz bag, navy blue colour

1 High hells for babies - gawd no I havent seen them they sound awful
2 I wish i knew how to tell off a 1yr old A is such a little hooligan, he climbs the stairs with no problem, he climbs all over the furniture - and the dog, heaven knows how many plates/ bowls he has pulled out of the cupboard and smashed, I am sure its a boy thing I was never having to case after action man like this with dd

SKY prat exdp - what a numpty

PINK fab news on the sleeping - long may it continue - at least now you know she can do it

Lupins71 · 13/06/2008 12:20

Forgot to say A is very capable of having a good ol strop, no screaming as such but pushes and pulls if you try to pick him up, now dd is more than capable of a good strop

TillyScoutsmum · 13/06/2008 12:57

Just been and ordered the dress [very excited emoticon]. Must not turn into wedding obsessed bridezilla (but I am just surfing t'interweb for flowers, jewellery, shoes etc etc )

PJ - well done on the sleep. Tilly has done about 3 weeks now - tis amazing

  1. High heels for babies - wrong wrong wrong
  2. Telling them off - no idea. Til has at least progressed from laughing at me when I say No, to whingeing and having a bit of a tantrum (although they're a bit lame - long may it continue)

flf - congratulations - whoever you may be

Sky - exdp sounds a right pratt. Til caught the pox from dsd when she was 6 months. I wasn't exactly relishing the idea of a pox ridden 6 month old but it wouldn't have crossed our minds not to have dsd as normal for the weekend.

Pinkjenny · 13/06/2008 12:59

Tilly - dress is beautiful, love it. What did you do!!!! You kept that quiet!!! You were my non-sleep buddy! (and another ! for luck)

TillyScoutsmum · 13/06/2008 13:03

we did a bit of cc

Tbh I think she was getting there anyway, but we helped her along a little bit by ignoring her doing controlled crying. We only had to do it for 2 nights

Pinkjenny · 13/06/2008 13:06

What a success story - well done matey!!!!!!!

Madamejaffa · 13/06/2008 13:27

at CC. Well done Tilly.

Lups will do it now for you.

Madamejaffa · 13/06/2008 13:34

Done Lups....it's under Pushchairs (obviously)

I am addicted the smileys: I can not post without one ya know.

Pinkjenny · 13/06/2008 13:35

LG&T - just read yesterday's thread. Glad to see it all turned out to be your fault!! Ha ha, lunatics fellow MNers.

Pinkjenny · 13/06/2008 13:40

Am concerned that I am developing a slightly large chip on my shoulder about MN. Hasn't sent me packing though, how strange.

and to you MJ x

TillyScoutsmum · 13/06/2008 13:59

PJ - that's because for all the fuckwits there are, there are a couple of really lovely ladies... like us

On the cc thing - I had to go out for a walk and let DP do it the first night. I just couldn't listen to it. He wouldn't tell me how long it took. Second night was about 10 minutes, third about 5. We've also cut her down to one nap in the day and that seems to have helped as well

Madamejaffa · 13/06/2008 14:25

Tilly- how's BB for you this year? They are all quite strange!

Pinkjenny · 13/06/2008 14:27

Another excellent idea. I am so pleased for you, through gritted teeth obviously , you can now be my inspiration.

And yes, we are very lovely indeed.

Pinkjenny · 13/06/2008 14:28

MJ - Alexandra is bonkers I tell you, bonkers. I bet she's one of the really aggressive MNers. And that Mario is just sooo patronising. Quite like Rex.

TillyScoutsmum · 13/06/2008 14:31

Oooh - BB - love it love it love it

Alex is the most hideous vile aggressive person in the world, Mario is a slime ball, Syliva is weird. Liking Rex, Rachel and Kat (although think she may become a tad annoying) at the moment. Mo with the fro is rather cool as well

I was panicking when American Idol, Britain's Got Talent and The Apprentice were all coming to an end. I thought I might actually have to go and get a life or something but no - BB saved the day. Hoorah !!

Madamejaffa · 13/06/2008 14:52

Oh isn't Alex just miserable...so up her own arse I can't believe it. Last night! Just who does he think HE is...errrr and you are?
Don't like Lisa either, she seems a bit snooty, Mario is very strange (good couple, lol) No one seems to like Steph much but I think she's OK, at least when she has her face on, lol

It's so late for me though I will be tired for the next 3mths now.

Pinkjenny · 13/06/2008 14:54

Why does Alex keep saying, 'Remember I told you', what's that all about? I think Steph's OK (as she's a scouser, clearly) but she seriously needs to cleanse before bed.

Madamejaffa · 13/06/2008 14:54

lg&t... did you work today? How did S take the punishment, was he a little coy this morning?

JamInMyWellies · 13/06/2008 15:20

just watching the repeat of last nights BB have not seen any so far. Who is the loudmouth whinging one who says she cant cope with being zapped and who is the shiny red looks a bit older woman. By the way those outfits are just too funny for words not very forgiving for the blokes.

Lupins71 · 13/06/2008 15:26

MJ Thanks so much - off to see if I have anyone wanting to swop - have decided in my wisdom that with dp not being around and therefore I will eiter have to taxi or walk if i want to get out that a p&t must be necessary or my quinny freestyle will soon die if dd keeps sitting on the front footplate

Am not allowed to watch BB and am not to worried either - I really dont need something else taking up all my time

Madamejaffa · 13/06/2008 16:29

Lups, you are very welcome, have I missed something though? Why is Dp NOT around? What happened with the job in the end, last I remembered he'd had a run in with his boss.

cameroonmama · 13/06/2008 16:53

In answer to your question MrsJB:

  1. I think high heels for babies are an excellent idea. They might help lengthen the look of J's legs a bit.
  1. Uhhhmmm, disciplining a one year old? I leave it to dd, she is much better at it than me and frankly he doesn't listen when I try.

Now you don't have to feel so alone with your smiley habit.

Congrats FLF, i wasted spent a good hour this morning trying to work it out.

LG&T, good twin, naughty twin updated needed please.

Sky at ex's comments. Poor dd. Fwiw, yes boys fiddle, wriggle, jiggle, eat bits of the floor/pushchair/sofa/carseat, have an obsession with mud, are very noisy and eat like pigs. They also spend most of their time with their fingers up their noses or down their pants. Sorry. But they do love their mummies.

J today has eaten from the floor, nacho crisps, cake crumbs, chalk, flowerpot dirt, some bark, a lampshade bead. And they were the things I noticed.

fourlittlefeet · 13/06/2008 19:18

thanks everyone. it was a mistake surprise by the way. We got caught out at the PIL's! Very happy about it now but it was a helluva shock.

Will try and drop a few hints now and then in the coming weeks for those that haven't worked it out but will reveal all as soon as I can.
xx

AbbyLou · 13/06/2008 19:43

Hi guys.
It's the weekend at last thank god. It's my dsis 30th birthday this weekend so we're all going down there tomorrow for the night. We're off out at night and mum is babysitting the kids and my niece and nephew. On Sunday we're all having a big buffet lunch round mum's to combine Father's Day and my sister's birthday.
Btw, high heels on babies - I don't think so. I struggle enough wearing them myself!!
As for discipline, who knows. I don't necessarily think the mischievousness is a boy thing. C was as good as gold when he was a baby but R is a nightmare! She just wants to play with everything that isn't a toy. When she spots somethng she wants she crawls towards it, stops, turns round to look at you, gives you the biggest smile and carries on. She is such a drama queen though, if you say no in a firm voice she sobs her socks off. Then it's all forgotten 10 seconds later when she's distracted with something else!
