Glad you are ok Abby, you sound loaded with work I look after a lovely little boy sometimes called Rufus, he has a clubbed foot. He is the most placid and easy going baby i have ever met. He is soooo gorgeous, he was cast for months, then had a special brace and boot and now just has that on at night! It is amazing what they can do

My lovely friend Shabster (multiples thread) has just become a granny this morning. She has had such a rough life and this news is the most fantastic ever, i have had wobbly chin all morning!

I made S wash her own pants when she was about 4 and kept having "accidents" due to not being bothered to come in to use the loo. I don't think you're terrible LG&T. I also once put her in the bath fully clothed aged about 2.5 when she kept having tantrums about getting undressed. She still remembers!

cameroonmama · 08/06/2008 18:09

Poor you LG&T, we had a few accidents like that with B, its so tedious. Even now he is just rubbish at wiping his bot, I feel a star chart coming on...

Sky, poor dd how miserable and on your birthday too. I hope she is not too down.

Abby, I hope you got some sunshine today. I have a really good friend whose little boy was also born with 2 club feet. After a couple of operations, splints and braces etc he was absolutely fine and even started walking at around 18mths I seem to remember.

Talking of walking, J is really coming on a storm, like Ella we can do mid walk turns and even bending down and picking up midwalk

Aaawwww Pink, too cute, have another to see if he would be just as cute.

I am having a Pink moment and actually worrying about J He hasn't had a solid nappy now for a couple of weeks, he still only poops once a day but it is a huge fallout. Hmmm, what to do? Should I stop the milk do you think? I only gave him some when he woke this am and some before bed to see if that makes a difference or not.

We went to a Ball last night and I am still suffering after getting to bed at 3am and the first child awake at 6am. Spoil sports.

cameroonmama · 08/06/2008 18:10

sorry sky I meant on her birthday

MKG · 08/06/2008 23:56

Well today has been Cruz's best day ever. Mainly because he was Mateo free. Mateo left early for church with mom and went out to lunch after. He stayed home with me and we played, and took naps (both of us ) Then Mateo came home and took a nap. Dh took Mateo out to the store with him and Cruz and I have been playing and rolling and laughing. I love this time when it's one on one (with either of them). He's been laughing all day.

Lupins71 · 09/06/2008 09:46

wish me luck got my LEA visit in 15 minutes arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh will report later

scootermum · 09/06/2008 11:56

Blimey.Maybe I shouldntry the fully clothed in the bath thing with Miss Lily And dotn even ask me about potty training. She demanded to be left without her nappy and just knickers the other day for about an hout and then when I agreed promptly did a wee in the middle of the kitchen.I put her nappy back on and thats where its staying till shes about 12 probably

A ball Cam?What d'you wear?! Terrible the day after though when the kids think its ok to get up at the normal time..You get to about 2pm and they are running amok with no hint of mercy..

Hope your visit goes well Lups..

L was also very good yesterday Mrs JB, ala Maddie I was very . It was sweltering so we went to the park and there was a free jazz concert on which we watched and L had a little dance whilst M flaked out in the buggy.Ah this is the life I thought..then we got home and M woke up crabby (for only about the second time in her life to be fair) and all hell broke loose till bedtime-she was just yelling her head off..maybe too much sun..Had a lovely glass of wine in the garden after they'd gone to bed (sod the stomach)And also a kinder egg.Yum.

DH went out at 6.30 am yesterday morn to go to the cricket at Trent bridge. He returned last night at 11.30 and fell over in the kitchen where I woke him up this morning. He coudlnt drive so I ended up taking him to work, with him reeking like a used bar towel all the way.I beg of you.And he is going to watch more cricket (read get incredibly drunk) on Thursday and Friday.Nice.

Right off to Kings cross now to assess a new customereatnicelunch, then to Finchley..I will spend half the day on the tube..it will be ruddy boiling down there

largeginandtonic · 09/06/2008 12:52

God Scoot i dont know what is worse, smelly bar towel husband or boiling, smelly tube. Both are bringing me out in a cold sweat. Poor you.

MKG shurrup with your perfect kids

Mine were all in bed early last night and so was i. I am so blardy knackered it is untrue! Midwife on Wednesday, i am afraid that when she feels my tummy the game is up and she will jump up shouting "ohmigod, there must be hundreds in there"

Toddlers soon, must make the effort. Hugs is bored, bored, bored.

Cam the ball sounds lovely, dont the 'help' have the dc while you siesta?

OP posts:
largeginandtonic · 09/06/2008 12:53

Good luck Lups!!!!

OP posts:
MKG · 09/06/2008 13:06

LOL at midwife saying there are hundreds.

MKG · 09/06/2008 13:07

Good luck to you lupins.

cameroonmama · 09/06/2008 17:12

So Lups, how did it go? Are you allowed to keep W at home? You are very brave.

MKG and Scoot, send some of that being good business to my darling ds1, who seems to have all run out of goodness today. I think he used up all of his credit at school. There is chicken pox about and I am hoping he gets it then at least I have an excuse for his grumpyness other than bad parenting!

LG&T, any more calls from dh? Do you have to walk to toddlers? What happened to Hugs and nursery? Sending you some energy...

Scoot, lol at bar towel smell! yeuk I do so hate that day after smell, isn't it awful when you can smell it on someone as they breathe on talk to you. Hmm come to think of it, it was possible I was that person on Sunday. The ball was fun, I wore a sequinned cocktail dress and heels Sadly LG&T, one must give one's staff one day off a week and that happens to be on Sunday. She did babysit though til 3am I did the morning stint and then dh took over and I spent the afternoon snoozing on a sun lounger beside the pool on what has to be the coldest day ever. It is still cold today, I think you guys have taken all my sunshine

largeginandtonic · 09/06/2008 19:59

My warm heart bleeds for you Cam...

I am upping Hugs nursery time, just not the right staff there when i need to see them. I have to drive to toddlers as i have to shoot straight off to the school run. People keep telling me i look terrible. They stand in front of me with a sympathetic look on their face, head cocked to one side, and say "Are you alright, you poor thing"

I am meeting Littlelapin and others on Thursday, i am briefing them to lie like a hairy egg when they see me. Humph.

OP posts:
JamInMyWellies · 09/06/2008 20:43

Lups how did it go?

CAM enough of this lying by the pool buisness

MKG what a lovely sounding day.

DP is off work I sent him to the Docs this morning as he has been doing the dieing swan all weekend, apparantley he has a sinus and throat infection. Now that means I actually have to be sympathetic and make him cups of tea.

Scoot did your visit to Finchley mean a bypass to Primark

Am a bit bored have just made the most mahoosive bowl of pasta and eaten one of those huge bags of maltesers. This pregnancy better be going ok otherwise my expanding waistline is all crap food.

SKYTVADDICT · 09/06/2008 21:47

Hi all

Miserable day here - bad night last night with DD2 - she is covered in the pox bless her and did not sleep well! First night C slept through for a while though!!

It is too hot for pox! It is also too hot for being 31 weeks pregnant!

Anyone heard from Pebble? I haven't been on much this week though have been keeping up but haven't noticed her posting - or on facebook come to think of it!

Pebblemum · 10/06/2008 00:13

Im here Sky Not had much chance to get on. Told dh the good news lol. He was ok, a bit shocked but fine. Havent been able to see a dr yet, mine has been away but have an appointment Friday. Im a bit worried as I havent had any symptons yet and have had a few strange pains but think its probably just me being paranoid

Saw my brother at the weekend, he was down for a wedding. It was great seeing him and he was shocked at how big Alana is and how well she's walking (she was only a couple of months old last time he was down)It is thanks to him that I am now sporting a lovely swollen knee, bruised side and bruised elbow. He phoned my mobile to say he was on his way round and I had left the phone in the kitchen, I rushed in jumping over the step, caught my toe on the step and fell hard onto the concrete floor. I didnt know whether to laugh or cry. It was agony but i also felt stupid as my sis, bil and niece had seen in happen When i told him what had happened he just laughed, so caring lol

Im off to have my hair done tomorrow and look for something nice to wear on Wednesday. I have a date with Bon Jovi The only problem is bloody stupid ticketmaster sent my tickets to the wrong address (god knows how ) and after spending most of last week trying to track them they have now cancelled them and will issue new ones to be collected from the gate. My MIl is looking after E and A while J will be staying with my neighbour, so I may get a bit of a lie in lol. Dh knows how excited I am (have been wanting to see them since i was about 12 and yes i have a secret crush on Jon, wanted a superman tattoo like his when i was 16 but luckily changed my mind) and so the darling darling man has given me free reign on his credit card to buy whatever I like from the concert He wont be there as he has to work so Im taking my sis. Im sooo excited I feel like a teenager again

I will also be looking for some reigns for Alana while im shopping. She seems to think that now she is walking so well that she doesnt need to hold anyones hands. I wouldnt mind but she will suddenly turn around and run off in the opposite direction laughing her head off. She is such alittle character. Her new trick is to clench her teeth, grin and open her eyes as wide as she can. She knows it makes me laugh and so will do it at the most inappropriate times ie when shes supposed to be going to sleep or if im on the phone.

Dh will be home soon and i said I would have a bath run so Id best be off (need to keep him sweet in case he changes his mind about the credit card lol)

Pebblemum · 10/06/2008 00:17

Also meant to say that she now has 12 teeth 4 of these are back ones which all came through at the same time, poor thing has been dribbling like mad but has still managed to stay happy and sleep well. Shes obviously good with pain unlike me lol

Lupins71 · 10/06/2008 06:38

PEBBLE thats how I felt about going to see take that, have a great time, at the teeth

CAM the ball sounds fab, glad you had a good time

LGT really hope you start to feel better soon, can you email me your addy [email protected]

The LEA visit went really well, she was really please with what we have been doing and dd read her a book and she seemed suitably impressed - she did say alot of children just dont suit school and that dd was probably bored as she is obviously very bright, she will be back in 3 months and if she is happy with what we have been doing (we have to keep a daily record) then she wont be back for a year, must say the whole situation is very relaxed - its lovely not rushing around for the school run and making sure she is in bed a 7 on the dot - last night we went for an evening stroll looking for bugs for an hour, she definatly seems happier

I am hoping my little man will want to be in bad again about 8.30 as we have been up since 5 grrrrrrrrrr

Pinkjenny · 10/06/2008 10:17

Hi all

Abby - hope your BF's baby has arrived safely. I'm sure the club feet will be easy to correct. I wish I'd known about L's dislocated hips before she was born, it wouldn't have been so much of a shock and taken the shine off her birth so much if I had.

April - wowzers! (I don't say that in RL BTW). I want my hair to be blonde again. I don't have the time for the upkeep though.

Scoot - BB is tosh this year. I have tentatively watched it, but it is seriously dull. L was the same on Sunday, screaming her head off at about half ten, definitely too much sun after spending all day in the lakes with dh.

LG & T - I can assure you that my house is not immaculate, the place is a tip. But I do have a cleaner, as I am a lazy cow. Not looking forward to the poo ishoos, hope Hugs is keeping his legs crossed for you.

Lups - L's cake was from Waterfields, I definitely did not make it. Glad the LEA visit went well.

Pebble - Jon Bon Jovi is just getting better with age. Yum.

Went to the spa day with my mum. It was great, we had a laugh, and it was nice to spend uninterrupted time together. Although the state of the false eyelashes on all the beauty therapists was enough to send me running for the hills. They looked like toilet brushes.

L is getting very brave now, standing up without holding on to anything. She's not sure what to do when she gets up though. Sleep is still a nightmare. Have bought another book. Her fave words at the moment are 'yeah' and 'hiya'.

Oh, and I hate work.

Pinkjenny · 10/06/2008 13:28

Where are you all today???

ShowOfHands · 10/06/2008 14:58

We're having a meet-up. All of us. With cake.

Pinkjenny · 10/06/2008 15:01

You are so mean. Do you know that? Mean. I am literally sobbing.

As if, be-atch!!!

ShowOfHands · 10/06/2008 15:02

Yes, very street you Dean Gaffney snogger you. Converse with my hand or something to that effect.

What's up with work?

Pinkjenny · 10/06/2008 15:03

I was thinking about you last night actually, as L was actually picking up pieces of my dinner off my plate and eating it. That's the thanks I get for letting her stay up!!

Pinkjenny · 10/06/2008 15:04

I've told you, Dean Gaffney was the only mildly interesting event to happen to me. Its a shame, but George Michael wasn't out that night.

It's just hot and dull, and I want to be at home playing and eating ice cream with L.
