Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yes PJ since about one week before he was one and he never even noticed! In fact he now has 2 9oz bottles (morning and evening) instead of 7oz ones - at the weekend he went backt to formula though as we didn't have anywhere to store milk and he still didn't even notice!

Pinkjenny · 28/05/2008 15:54

Mmm, I'm a bit scared to do it.

SKYTVADDICT · 28/05/2008 15:55

Forgot to say DP is sad that we don't have to sterilise and make bottles anymore (only did it for a couple of months anway) and I keep finding him putting boiling water in them just to make sure! Bless him.

SKYTVADDICT · 28/05/2008 15:56

Just get one pint and try her and see.

We go through 4 pints very quickly now - I always seem to be at the shop!

Pinkjenny · 28/05/2008 15:57

I'll try.

I've thrown away about 14 pints of blue top because I keep buying it with the intention of giving it to her and then chickening out.

AbbyLou · 28/05/2008 16:15

What are you scared of PJ? Does she not have food with cows milk in anyway like yogurts and stuff? It makes life so much easier and you can give more/less when needed. We seem to get through it very quickly too. R has 7oz bottles morning and night and C has a cup of milk and cereal with milk every morning.

Pinkjenny · 28/05/2008 16:23

Yes she does, as you know I am a leeetle bit paranoid.

MKG · 28/05/2008 16:23

We used up the last of our formula yesterday morning and Cruz has been sucking down regular milk like you wouldn't believe. Figure he's had it in Cereal, and yogurt and cheese so he was fine. A little extra gassy, but still good. Oh I love when they get to milk it's so easy.

MKG · 28/05/2008 16:24

Where is Jam?

scootermum · 28/05/2008 16:28

M on cows milk too..has been for a month..she doesnt wave or walk..she just eats stuff she shouldnt, has developed a scream like a banshee (happily just the same as Lilys ) and generally grins at everything..I love her to death..

I made my meeting and it finished by 3.15!So have snuck off early and am home now eating cake..I suppose I should really go and get the girls early but its so nice to have an hour to myself.I do feel a bit guilty though..I should go get them really...

Has anyone had those wee chocolate mini rolls in a tub from Tescos?I am having some now and they are quite moreish...will just have another..anyone want?

scootermum · 28/05/2008 16:29

BTW-Try L on half cows milk half formula at first Pink?Do it gradually and she wont notice..

ShowOfHands · 28/05/2008 16:31

Is nobody breastfeeding anymore? I have a Tank permanently dangling from my nipples.

scootermum · 28/05/2008 16:34

chucks mini roll into SOH's open gob

MKG · 28/05/2008 16:34

Sorry SOH gave it up at 7.5 months. Just couldn't balance it with work anymore. TBH Cruz could have cared less, once we switched he didn't even search for boobs anymore.

SKYTVADDICT · 28/05/2008 16:37

Same her MKG - we made it to 8 months (I was about 11 weeks pregnant and it hurt).

Really wanted to try for a year this time but have found out I have to go back to work (financial reasons) after the 8/9 months again so it just isn't practical. C didn't seem to notice or look for boob either sadly.

ShowOfHands · 28/05/2008 16:39

Oh ElTank takes great delight in lifting my top up whenever she fancies it. And she only weighs 29.5lbs, she's not that big.

That mini roll was defective, I shall be requiring another.

SKYTVADDICT · 28/05/2008 16:43

I'm eating an M&S chucky chocolate flap jack. One of the perks of being at work and working near M&S. I just got it from the fridge - yummy

scootermum · 28/05/2008 16:47

Too late..I have inadvertently scoffed the lot

Incredible. Our cat, the real Scooter, has just walked past his litter tray and the open door and done a wee in the corner..inexplicable...he's doing it to bate me..he has gone mental lately. He waked up at 5 am and jumps on me yowling for his breakfast. Is is possible for a cat to become mentally ill?

ShowOfHands · 28/05/2008 16:51

How old is Scooter?

ShowOfHands · 28/05/2008 17:06

my heart is racing

scootermum · 28/05/2008 17:13

I went there two years ago!And I can tell you that the Gingerbread is PHENOMENAL!!!

cameroonmama · 28/05/2008 17:16

You'll be moving oop norf then SOH?

J been on cow's milk for a month, we go through bottles and bottles. Stopped bf 2 months ago and was very sad but I needed to go out and couldn't leave my boobs behind for him

He has had very bad nappies since, anyone else had the same? Could be new teeth, he has those 4 top 4 bottom, what come next? First molars? It's looking a bit red and raw there...

But what I love the most just now is that he chatters away, making sounds that sound just like us talking but are not if you know what I mean, so cute. Do yours do that too?

scootermum · 28/05/2008 17:20

M sounds like she is talking in tongues...I do find it cute.(and occasionally a tad disconcerting actually-possibly a child hood memory of watching a horror film, possibly the Excorcist?, where someone was posessed and spoke in tongues-not that I think M is posessed )

Will go and get the girls now..

ShowOfHands · 28/05/2008 17:32

Have you changed your cat litter Scoot? My cats only ever weed in the wrong place when thy had a uti. If he does it again, perhaps a quick visit to the vet's?

The chattering is lovely. Sometimes she's really earnest, raises her voice and emphasises certain sounds. Feel like a prat for admitting it but sometimes when she's turning the pages of her books and 'reading out loud' I get a lump in my throat and itchy eyes. Oh sod it, I get quite teary when she walks/kisses/cuddles/smiles/talks. She's sooooo engaging. She'll get you to look at her and then start to walk away, look back, check you're looking, walk away a bit more, look back, squeal and then drop to her knees and crawl away. She wants to be chased. She did it with Beau at the weekend and I thought he wouldn't understand but he did and they spent a good 15mins chasing each other and catching each other's ankles. Was tres cute. They also pulled hair, clambered on each other to be the first to get to the food and sat on each other rather a lot but hey ho.

I don't need to move, they deliver.

DD has four teeth at the top and two at the bottom but a raw and angry gum where a molar will be. Nappy rash and drooling too which are the usual signs for her.

cameroonmama · 28/05/2008 17:35

Oh they just love that chasing business, its so cute, J gets his bro to chase him and the two of them end up in giggles lying on the floor.

They deliver??! Quick get an order in...
