Anabel started to crawl yesterday. Now she keeps finding naughty stuff like bits of plastic and things covered in dust. Time to baby proof the house I think.
I think I have the biting thing sorted I just take her off and then try again later and when she is hungry and not too tired she feeds well.
I'm jealous of all the holidays you guys have been on we haven't been anywhere and I go back to work on wed so missed the boat for now. We are planning a amping trip soon though before it gets too cold .
Must go the house is a tip as the baby has dropped her toys everywhere and I have people coming later for chilli con carne.

RGPargy · 01/09/2008 22:34

Ellie's not far behind Febes! She crawled two paces today!! She's getting very frustrated at not quite being able to crawl further but i reckon she'd still not be crawling if we didn't have the carpet fitted last week!!

Oh my goodness Anabel was awake for hours during the night not really crying but shouting and moaning It got up to her twice I hink it was her teeth cause she didn't need a feed. So I'm sitting here feeling very bleary eyed. And its rainy cats and dogs outside so I can't even take her out until it lets up a bit. Its meant to this afternoon.

And its my last day of holiday

RGPargy · 02/09/2008 19:20

Febes you poor thing!! hope you get a better night's sleep tonight.

Ellie is officially crawling now. Today there was no stopping her. I cant believe how quickly she has progressed in a week!!

jet- glad you had a gud hol! i love the lambies,i really wanted the privet hedge one for my back garden! trying to convince dp that we should go the auction hehe.. LOL @ everyhing in 3's- sooo cute!

rg- dd is the same with nipples! she always goes for mine and dp's as well as something else if he is totally naked! we are going shopping for pyjamas for him soon as we are both gettin worried! your right about this close, it is a nightmare. but it will be a distant memory by next wee!

awww- congrats to Ellie and Anabel for crawling! i am V jealous now, raimee must be the last one! she is trying her best, but seems to use her head as an extra leg to get some stability as she moves forward!!time for eyes in the back of your head now! i think raimee will catch up as soon as we are in new house and she can go on the floor all the time, i cant wait, at the moment she doesnt get much floor play as this house is such a tip at the mo.

febes- fingers crossed for a better night tonight!

we r stil having so much trouble getting raimee to drink from a cup/beaker. starting to get a bit worried that we will never succeed!?

well, we have got a brilliant evening of painting ahead of us - hope you all have something more exciting on!? sam xx

Greedygirl · 03/09/2008 18:28

Congrats to all the new crawlers - clever girls!

Sam - Raimee is not the last - Adam is still stuck going backwards and rocking on all fours!

He had a temp last night and I couldn't work out what it was all about until 3a.m. in the morning when he puked up all over me - it was like the Exorcist! I ended up sleeping on the floor of his room because I was worried about him being sick again. Glad I was not at work today! Work has alright, busy, same old same old. Adam is fine but I really miss him and feel v. of someone else having all the fun with him.

Hope you all have a good evening. I am thinking bath and early to bed. Will we ever, ever feel fully rested again?!

RGPargy · 04/09/2008 10:24

Ugh! Morning everyone! DD is being a little bit of a nightmare at the moment. All this new found crawling business coupled with teething has meant that she gets hysterical when i put her to bed and last night she finally fell asleep on me at 10pm!! This meant that all i had to do in the evening was put off by 2 hours or so, but i finally managed to get into bed at around midnight. I've been asleep for less than an hour and then she wakes up screaming again and wont settle for another hour and 10 minutes!! I finally got to sleep at about 2.20am and then my alarm went off at 6am for work! I'm starting to feel a bit knackered!! I wish her teeth would hurry up and come through. I'm sure one is the brink of coming through because i'm convinced i felt it last night when i was putting teething gel on her gums. Hopefully things will settle down a bit once the tooth comes through!

Greedy - How's AJ today? Poor little mite, hope he feels better soon. I dont think we will ever feel properly rested!

Does anyone else feel a sense of sadness that their babies are getting mobile and starting to grow up or am i the only nutter that wants their baby to stay a baby forever?!!

rg - my deepest sympathies for your terrible night. William was down by 8.30, but woke up at 1, I then fell asleep feeding him, woke up at 4.30, tried to put him down, he woke up, ended up sleeping next to me, and like you my alarm went off at 6, so I know how you feel!

sam - raimee will get the hang of a beaker, it took a while for DD to get used to it, then suddenly it was like it was all she had ever known. William will take water but not milk from a beaker, and actually finds it more fun trying to spill water everywhere when we give him a beaker.

William was bitten at nursery yesterday by another, slightly older, baby. He looks like Rudolp with a bright red nose, and his skin was broken!! The staff were really upset by it, and the other baby's parents were mortified apparently (I should hope so too!). I ended up comforting the staff! William didn't seem fussed at all when I picked him up, but was really upset at the time.

Am at work, should be lesson planning, but have no class lists yet - term started yesterday!

Febes · 04/09/2008 21:20

Poor William!!! Sounds like he's tough though.
RG- I know how you feel!! Anabel was like that last week but she has been a treasure this week so hopefully Ellie will settle down soon.

Anabel has just had her first 2 days with the new childminder and she has loved it. She sleeps for 2 hours durng her nap, eats all her lunch and acts like she has always been there. What a good girl!!

I'm trying to slim again start of new term and all but at the same time TTC so I wonder which will be more successful. Hopefully the later then no diets for 9 months!!

RGPargy · 05/09/2008 10:15

Jet - Thanx for the sympathies! at William getting bitten at nursery!!!! That's terrible! The poor thing!

Febes - glad Anabel liked her new childminder. It's a relief to konw they are happy isn't it! Good luck with TTC!

Ellie had a much better night last night thankfully. I think i can see a pattern emerging for when she is going to have an awful night. If she doesn't nap in the day, she's a nightmare at night. Yesterday she had two long naps and then went to bed at 8.30 til i woke her up at 6.40 this morning. Only slight disturbance was when she lost her dummy and couldn't find it but she went straight back off again so that was good.

We think she actually does have a tooth now because MIL says she felt it too when she put some nectarine in her mouth () and i also felt it this morning too. Ellie clamps her gums firmly shut and sticks her tongue out if i try and have a look so i'm still none the wiser really!

Wow! Congratulations Febes! That's brilliant news

Will catch up later, got to stop warfare between DD and William.

Greedygirl · 09/09/2008 12:10

Hello Loopy! Lovely to see you back on here! Adam has 5 teeth and lots more trying to come through - he is working on his teeth before thinking about growing some hair I think. No crawling yet but he keeps getting up at 4 for practice sessions . Usually goes back to sleep after a quick BF and this morning I actually had to wake him up to get ready which is completely unheard of - I had stopped using my alarm clock!

Must go and be sociable as at work and it is lunch time x

RGPargy · 10/09/2008 11:34

Wow everyone's LOs have so many teeth!! No doubt Ellie will catch up soon - she had a bit of a runny bum last night so i'm expecting another tooth to come through soon!

DD has thankfully slept through the night since she was put on formula at around 5/6 months. While i love my sleep, i do miss BF, especially lately, for some reason

Loopy - 16 teeth in 6 months? Jeeeez!!! Still, at least it's over and done with, as you say!

Hope everyone's having a nice day today.

Anabel has always been a great sleeper but this week has been a teething nightmare. She woke screaming about 4 times the other night!! We have a new tooth poking through now though.

HI ALL!!! been meaning to catch up with you but keep forgetting

Anyway its Callum's 1st birthday on the 25th!! And he is now walking the furniture and took 3 steps on wednesday. He can crawl upstairs and gets into everything now. He is very vocal and looks chatting.

he has another cough atm and I am getting hardly any sleep.. I wake up in the morning like a zombie... He is STILL BF, and I can't see him giving it up easily.

Hope everyone is well.
Congrats Febes!!!
