for Kel, {{{hugs}}}} if your reading mate.

CSWS try to have a good time, even with the dodgy weather Sure you'll be on here anyway (you were last year non?) tbh I did debate the wee thing, but decided that the middle of the beach, probably wasn't the best place for it my mum was mumbling about vingear apparently does the same trick, but neither to hand, so we went for the professionals!

Flamesparrow · 13/06/2008 21:43

Oh Kel

DS has found a new fun and exciting past time... let's climb the apple tree

Now sporting a couple of fabulous gashes down his belly He sobbed for ages which shows how nasty they were - he never cries over being hurt.

Like sundays forecast for you it says Sprinkles (Friz imagines sugarstrands from the sky)

Flamesparrow · 13/06/2008 22:00

Sprinkles sound pretty

Kel

Frizbe - My dd1 won £50 on her premium bonds yesterday, too!

Have a nice hol csws

DS is better

Nothing else to report. If dp gets paid today, I will take the dds to the park in Harlow tomorrow (no petrol in car to do it atm), otherwise it will be the crappy park at the end of the road with the broken swings.

mustrunmore · 14/06/2008 09:28

I could do with a £50 win to make up for getting my purse stolen

Babysat for friend lsat night, and danced the whole time, 8.30 till about midnight Am aching a bit now tthough, and am about to do 4th aerobics class of the week! Going out tonight too, and may well dance then!

EachPeachPearMum · 14/06/2008 14:47

MRM for purse- pretty crappy.

for all the winners though- what a weird co-incidence.

CSWS- looks a little chilly! Do they have an indoor pool too?

Flame- he is a total houdini!

Friz- sounds incredibly busy, and how on earth does a mixer tap split????

Flamesparrow · 14/06/2008 19:14

The CSWS's have gone to their hotel after a lovely afternoon. Flameboy was on form with running up the lifeguard's tower, and spinning around railings at the beach I only just caught him as I thought he was going over the top and planning to climb back down, not spin upside-down sloth like.

Chick was highly embarrassing this morning - she was in the garden and told them "Mummy's friend is coming later, so we have to tidy"

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 14/06/2008 20:59

LOL- meaning she said it to CSWSs?

Jas- meant to say glad ds is better!

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/06/2008 21:10

We're here! Dh said we could stretch to the fiver for an hour's internet access in our room . Took until 8:45 to calm an overexcited dd down and get her to sleep, despite no nap, but she's now fast asleep, I'm on the bed on my laptop, and dh is sitting on the loo so that he can get enough light to read by .

We had an absolutely lovely afternoon with the flames. Was great to finally meet Mr flame, who is quite as lovely as his wife.

I would like to confirm that the house was much tidier than I had expected or required it to be. No idea what was behind the closed bedroom doors though .

Yay for money winning, and for purse nicking.

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/06/2008 21:11

Oh, and pretty sure they have an indoor pool too, though can't really remember. Camping Les Biche in St Hilaire if you want to look it up for me, but be quick, I only have 49 minutes left .

Flamesparrow · 14/06/2008 21:59

Oh believe me - our bedroom floor cannot be walked across... you have to sort of dive onto the bed, and until about 7pm, it was completely covered in piles of clothes - half have been put away, half are in a new pile to be put away

EachPeachPearMum · 14/06/2008 22:04

Flame- sounds like my house!

We FINALLY took the bars off dd's cotbed tonight! She was so excited and happy to climb in!
Had her story in bed, which she lay on her tummy and hugged her pillow all the way through! 'My beds so comfy Mama!' rofl

She hadn't napped today (too excited about going to Nana's) and we ate out for dinner, so bedtime was later than normal, so thankfully she fell asleep really quickly with no messing. We have put the gate on the outside of her door though!

Heaven help us tomorrow evening...

Jas · 14/06/2008 22:46

I've missed you csws....have a nice hol

My bedroom floor is....nonexistant! If we ever get bedroom, it will be clean and empty all the time, I've discovered all I require is the bed, a book, a radio and somewhere to put my glasses

mrm for stolen purse, but at all the exercise!

I'm still in need of a stair gate for ds' room before I try him in his bed. He is as big as the cot if he stretches out, but usually sleeps on his knees so will fit in it for a little bit longer.

mustrunmore · 15/06/2008 08:20

My kiddiguard srairfate is on ebay; paid £7 for it (£2 at a car boot and a fiver for some new bits).. currently on £37 with 10 hrs to go!!!

Every muscle in my body aches today, in a good good way

Flamesparrow · 15/06/2008 09:02

There is agood way for muscles to ache???

OP posts:
Jas · 15/06/2008 09:50

£37.

I've rearranged the fish tank (main reason for the gate stopping him coming in here), so if we leave it a bit longer, I may be able to just take the one off the bottom of he stairs and use that.

Phoenix · 15/06/2008 14:18

Internet's gone again so a quick post from my parents'

Chloe - Didn't know my boss that well tbh. He was our boss for about a year ages ago but he got a new job in Royal Mail and we got another boss. 2 week ago that boss got a new job so we got our old boss back (you follow that ). He'd only been back at our place just over a week when he died and I was on leave most of the time he was back so didn't see much of him apart from 2 days before i went on leave. My parents just got back from Menorca too. There last 2 days were hot rest cloudy or raining.

Flamesparrow · 15/06/2008 19:10

DS is currently in his room with his nappy on backwards.

I give him 10 mins before he gets it off.

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 15/06/2008 19:15

I've just washed all the fuzzis to sell. Hurray! End of an era!

Of course there's a good way to ache you nutter!

Jas, it went for £39 in the end. They're about £55 new though, I was just lucky to get one in the car boot. Thinking I'll get my Dad to bring the normal gate down from mums just to put on at night, and flog the other lascal that we have on the top of the staris

Flamesparrow · 15/06/2008 19:22

Unless it is caused by vigorous sex, I am seeing no good way to ache. Even that is dubious.

His nappy is off By the sounds of it he is trying to climb over the gate too.

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 15/06/2008 19:24

I was soooooo grateful for window locks yesterday.

DD & Pippa were in the garden, he was watching them from the bedroom window. I say "Why don't you go out and play with them?"

So he climbed onto the windowsill and tried to open it to go out that way

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 15/06/2008 21:46

mrm- great news for the stairgate- but is it some really special kind to be that much?

Flame- and eek for ds- I have to keep dd's window locked at all times, as thats the only thing she's ever been interested climbing up at, and it opens out from the bottom- terrifying.

Well- so far, so good on the bed front! She went to sleep well at nap time, and bedtime today.
She was so tired and whingy today though- non-stop all morning, she asked to go for a nap before lunch even, but wouldn't settle. Went off at 1 for 1.5 hours, but then howled on waking until Papa agreed to take her to the park, and give Mama a rest!

Chloe55 · 16/06/2008 08:16

Arrggh window locks and stairgates are at the top of my mind at the mo, along with safety latches on cupboards, moving anything that can be used as a harmful tool, replanning the living room and garden, getting those little plastic corner things for tables etc etc - guess these were all things I maybe should have considered a year or so ago anyway Saying that, I did have a stairgate for ds but took it off about 10mths ago when he got confident on the stairs, guess I will have to get used to my house looking like a nursery room soon!

I don't like any kind of ache.

Jas · 16/06/2008 17:42

DP has got a new (second hand, free, and slightly chewed by a dog) gate and put it on the door, so I'm going to try ds in a bed tonight.
He is so good at going to sleep in the cot, I'm not sure it is a good move, but will have to be done soon,so wish me luck.....
