CSWS- news??????

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/05/2008 16:14

Anyone like to tell me wtf you do with a boy?!

EachPeachPearMum · 27/05/2008 16:22

Yay!
Hug him, love him, feed him ach- whats the difference!

EachPeachPearMum · 27/05/2008 16:25

But true- we were a little worried first time round, as we had no idea what to do with a boy either!

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/05/2008 16:26

Should I draw you a diagram ?

He'll be able to wee standing up , and spray it everywhere , and my toilet seats won't always be left down .

Flamesparro · 27/05/2008 16:29

Remember how I was when DS came along. It took me a good while to get my head round no girl - you get to do all that now rather than when you're faced with a baby.

Boys bash things. They're much easier to understand than girls

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/05/2008 17:32

Forgot to say that although not blocking the birth canal, the placenta is low, so need to have that checked at my 36 week scan to check that it has risen.

Jas · 27/05/2008 17:46

@boy.....I spent most of the first year answering the question "Is it very different after the girls?" with "no, he's still a baby."

Now no one asks, and it is very different

Phoenix · 27/05/2008 20:40

for baby boy csws. Have you got any boys names in mind?

I remember you panicking about having a boy Flame

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/05/2008 20:42

Dominic Elliot is front runner at the moment I think. If you don't like it I don't want to know!

Phoenix · 27/05/2008 20:48

Like it

mustrunmore · 28/05/2008 07:19

I really like Elliot Have a whole host of good boys ames that you'd hate.

Congrats on finally arriving george

Away for a few days as of today, at Mums.

Chloe55 · 28/05/2008 08:57

Yay for a boy!!! They're much better than girls but then I might be biased In fact, my mum regularly reminds me that boys are much better than girls

Congrats Dame - he is gorgeous!

Well done on the weight loss Pg, mine is rapidly going out of the window at the moment - I want to eat EVERYthing in sight at the moment which is not helping!!

Chloe55 · 28/05/2008 08:58

Oh forgot to say, Osc was nearly a dominic in this household so we like it.

Phoenix · 28/05/2008 11:44

Dominic is on my baby name list for if we ever have another baby, but i think its a bit long to go with our surname

Any sign of AF yet chloe? Have you done any more tests?

Ds got up at 5.50am today but came into our bed and went to sleep til 9am he even stayed asleep when me and dh got up.

Chloe55 · 28/05/2008 15:09

No sign of AF pg, had a couple of nauseous bouts today and my belly looks like I am 5mths pg due to the bloat and general feeling of tightness and cramps but I guess they could all be a tummy bug/signs of AF arriving. Have booked a preliminary appointment at docs for Friday anyway just incase AF doesn't come by then.

Frizbe · 28/05/2008 21:58

CSWS love the name too have known a few Dom's and they're all lovely, which is always a good way to go I think

MRM how much do you weight then??? (says nosey woman) I wanna know if I'm larger as I think I am!

Waves hello at Chloe, good luck

Am sat here wondering where the smell of stale wee is coming from carpet or sofa fingers x'd its the cushions am going to disect them and wash them now.

EachPeachPearMum · 28/05/2008 22:59

CSWS- does your placenta class as previa or anterior?
Is it going to cause problems/complications with the diabetes?

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/05/2008 07:33

Glad to hear that the possible name is a popular choice.

mrm - am taking your comment to mean that you're not keen on Dominic, but as I remember your list of potential boys' names for ds2, I can live with that . Hope you're having fun at your mum's.

EPPM - anterior is where it's at the front. Mine is at the back, but low, so type 1 from wiki's definition I believe.

EachPeachPearMum · 29/05/2008 10:32

CSWS- interesting- I had never realised that the placenta could be at the rear! (prob quite obvious if I had ever seriously considered it...)
I had anterior first time round, but it caused no problems AFAIK, unless it contributed to the OP.
We haven't a CLUE on the name front atm, but plenty of time yet

Chloe55 · 29/05/2008 15:18

Does it cause you any pain CSWS? Or is it just an issue towards the end of your 3rd trimester and at giving birth time?

Right, well still no appearance of this blasted period! It's been 16dys now from around the time I would have expected to come on. Still very swollen abdomen and period type pains, I'm getting the odd stabbing pain (similar to the pains I get with my endometriosis) which I'm praying to God isn't the sign of an eptopic or something, they're not unbearable stabs prob more like twinges actually. Would an eptopic show up negative on a test? (haven't done another since the beginning of the week) I'm seeing the nurse practitioner tomorrow anyway so hopefully she can give me a bit of a clue as to what's happening. I have read that all my symptoms could be because of a hormonal imbalance - any ideas why this might happen?

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/05/2008 16:19

No, no pain Chloe. It can apparently cause bleeding during 2nd/3rd trimesters, but the lower it is the more likely this is, and I got the impression that mine wasn't scarily low. It's obv a problem if it doesn't move up and blocks the birth canal at full term though. Far too early to worry about that at the moment though!

An ectopic can cause negative tests Chloe (aitch is the expert on this, but she's on hols at the moment), so worth a visit to the GP to ask for blood tests, which I think can rule this in/out.

Could your endo itself be the cause of the absence of period?

Chloe55 · 29/05/2008 16:33

Not sure tbh, I only seem to get the pains once in a while now, they just seem to have flared up a bit this week. It's all just a bit weird and getting me down tbh, I need to know either way - I need a big glass of wine but daren't have it, I decided to stop smoking last Monday (not sure if I did this subconsciously actually) and I am dying for a cig now having not felt like I needed one all week, I just can't be bothered to do anything and I am crying at everything. I have no idea if I do or don't want to be pregnant, I am shitting myself that there is some other underlying problem, something is just not right. I know my own body and it's not right

Sorry for the rant, I know that all I can do is wait to see what the nurse says tomorrow I'm just feeling very frustrated, I just wish I knew what was going on.

EachPeachPearMum · 29/05/2008 20:22

Chloe- seems odd doesn't it? 16 days over is quite a lot...

Flame- where are you? Are you okay? Weren't you going to drs.....?

Frizbe · 29/05/2008 20:42

Flame????

CSWS I had placenta previa with dd1, but it happily moved out of the way, just as I'd gotten my head around a possible c as well and phew! (mind you they could have done a tummy tuck on me at same time )

MRM weight! pleaseeeeeeeee

Chloe didn't realise it'd been 16 days {{{{hugs}}}}} hope everything is ok and you just have very silly hormones at the moment, which can be fixed.

Have been doing accounts all day here....and really should do a few more now, either that or the ironing, neither of which is appealing.
