hmm well as possibly the Laziest Mum Ever (gave up BF, then went to ready made formula, gave up cloth nappies, sterilising, washable wipes...) it probably won't surprise you to hear that I also gave up making baby food...

but honestly if you can fit it in the budget, buying organic jars seemed to me a no-brainer! I couldn't take the rejection when I'd spent so much time making something only to have it spat out!

RiaisMaLarkin · 10/04/2008 19:59

foxy, I emailed you, and I still can't invite you to be my FB friend

I emailed you too bumper, but you know that. It's like a whole hew world now I've sorted my hotmail out - I had 52 messages!!!

I am absolutely buggered tonight. I want the DCs to go to sleep - NOW - so I can relax.

DD has gone to bed properly for the first time in about 4 days. I'm worried that the night we first stopped picking her up in the night and she cried for an hour and a half has put her off going to sleep. But she seems to be ok tonight. Thought we had cracked the waking up but she was up again the past few nights, but only once or twice which is better than 4 times, but I am dreading going to bed at the moment

Lilkel - that's not lazy, that's like most of us!

FF legoland sounds fab, is it worth the money? it's expensive isn't it?

lilQuidditchKel · 10/04/2008 20:18

re legoland - we got a 2 for 1 deal which made it quite a bit cheaper - bought our tickets online. we actually quite enjoy it too (the adults i mean )...and if you pack a picnic lunch you save a bundle that way.

Hello lovely ladies!

Had a quick scan again - hoping everyone is having a lovely evening and all the lo's are snuggled up in bed!?

DH is packing to go to America tonight with work - he'll be away until Thursday morning I know I sound like a wuss but I don't know how I'll cope!?

Ooops - the pooter froze up a bit then so I just kept on clicking - as you do!!

Sputnik · 10/04/2008 20:39

Don't worry DKMA, you'll cope. My DH has been away a couple of times for 10 days or so, you get into your own little routine.

Did you decide wht he's going to bring you back?

lackaDAISYcal · 10/04/2008 20:41

lilkel, not lazy at all; we all do what we need to do to get through the day.....and it sounds like your hands are full enough with the two of them without all the alpha mummy stuff as well . I'm happy to give her mush if that's what she wants though, but it means I have to spoon feed her and I really want her to be feeding herself. Actually I bought a HIPP toddler meal (15mo plus) the other day, thinking it would be more like a mini adult meal, and it's still mush. do they not know babies that age have teeth?

I'm temporarily giving up on my re-usables as well. There is a nappy full of poo in the bucket that I just couldn't deal with yesterday. I heaved every time I tried to get the poo off. Poor DH, it'll be rotten by the time he comes home tomorrow

DKMA · 10/04/2008 20:41

Yeh - I have asked for a handbag! I think I need to show him the kind of thing I'm after otherwise it could be a disaster..........going to go and look on tinterweb at some now!

lackaDAISYcal · 10/04/2008 20:42

you'll be fine DKMA. In fact you'll start to wonder what you actually need him for in the first place

DKMA · 10/04/2008 20:44

The bit thats worrying me the most is getting ready for work in the morning - I need to be showered, make up on and virtually good to go before he wakes up - I don't seem to be able to do my make-up and hair when he is awake cos he just launches himself at me!

Oh fuck it! Pooter's gone mad!

lackaDAISYcal · 10/04/2008 20:46

oh, a developmental question for you all.

Over the last week or so DD has taken to putting her hands over her ears or bashing her ears whilst rocking backwards and forwards and moaning. Either she has realised that things sound funny like that (and the head bashing makes a more resonant sound), or she has some sort of serious behavioural issues brewing. I'm starting to get quite worried about it, as DS never did anything like this....tell me this is normal...please!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 10/04/2008 20:47

Ewww daisy! I am having flashbacks of changing dd's pooey nappies in the morning and being sick in my hands as I ran to the bathroom! Dp couldn't go to work in the morning before dd had pooed because it would make me vomit! That's a nice thought for everyone!

DKMA, hope you cope ok an hope dh brings you a good pressie!

I had to phone dp up on his way home and get him to pick up a pack of disposables. Ds has been having really bad poos over the past few days and his bottom is so sore it is bleeding in places. Poor little man. Oh well, it will let me catch up on some washing for a few days!

FrazzledFairyFay · 10/04/2008 20:47

It is expensive, which is why we got an annual pass - it costs the same as 2 visits.

Bumperlicious · 10/04/2008 20:49

DD does that sometimes, I think she likes the sound it makes in her head. Could she have an earache?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 10/04/2008 20:49

Yup normal daisy! My ds does a similar thing. Whenever he sits in his highchair he nods his head over and over again. It does look really worrying, but he stops after a while and starts laughing. I'm sure he only does it because it makes dd laugh!

Bumperlicious · 10/04/2008 20:52

Holly DD's bum has been bleeding too, she's had two really raw patches. It seemed to come out of nowhere too

RiaisMaLarkin · 10/04/2008 20:57

ds shakes his head from side to side and laughs

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 10/04/2008 21:02

It's rubbish isn't it? It nearly makes me cry when I have to wipe his bottom and he is screaming at me to stop .

Dp has just put the golf on , so I am going to go to bed. May tonight bring sleep (yeh right)!

Peace out x

lackaDAISYcal · 10/04/2008 21:08

phew......I never had any worries with DS, this little madam has me worrying over everything.

she ate something she found on the floor earlier and almost choked on it, but wouldn't give it up and managed to swallow it. i guess i'll need to wait a few days to find out what it was!

she also tried sucking on the metanium earlier, and managed to dig an old razor out of the bathroom bin when I was filling the bath. Thankfully DH had put the plastic covery thing back on.

foxythesnowfox · 10/04/2008 21:12

Exactly same sleeping pattern here Holly. I know I must tackle it, and it will probably be CC . The way I see it, going in just prolongs the agony. They get in a state, see us, expect to be picked up and cry harder. So, I'll be putting her down and walking away. It took 3 days to crack it with DS1.

But I can't do it just yet!

Hello everyone!

Busy day here, just got back from Supermarket, am knackered. LO won't settle. Sob!
