NEW THREAD!

When you said "swanky" jammy... DH is very jealous, I am completely out of my depth, being a fan of takeaway pizza etc. (DH despairs)

Presumably if she has been charged the other children will be in care now? Poor little things. I really don't understand people...

Not sure times have changed all that much Ria. When I was 14 a friend at school spent a morning wondering if she should wear her tight jeans to the disco that night so her boyfriend couldn't get his hand down the front, or if she should wear her normal ones I couldn't have cared less what she wore myself, was more interested in getting the latest [fave band of the moment] poster and getting home in time to watch Grange Hill. Still loved reading Cathy & Claire though!

LittleMissNorty · 08/04/2008 22:11

Right I'm off to bed....work tomorrow so up at 5.45am!

Night all x

lackaDAISYcal · 08/04/2008 22:11

sputnik, I've done a bit of research already, but I do need to talk to someone about it in person. I'll probably change my mind before my EDD and will go for the section. I think I just like the challenge of being a bit bolshy

right am off to languish in my new bed, with lovely new and freshly laundered bedlinen

and if it doesn't resolve my back issues, IKEA do a 90 day money back guarantee!

and on a final note, my friend told me tonight that Yorkshire Fire Service will send out two firemen to do a fire safety assessment on your home and then fit free smoke alarms for you. I'm considering ripping out our alarm, just so I get the home visit

night all.
xx

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 08/04/2008 22:12

No wnow Daisy it was thoughts like that that got you where you are today

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 08/04/2008 22:13

I'm off to bed too though.
I don't have work tomorrow but will probably be up by 6 anyway, if I know my daughter! Then got to get cleaned up etc ready for my in laws

justbeme · 08/04/2008 22:14

Oh Jammy that looks fab! How much is it per head?

Now what was Cathy and Claire?

RiaisMaLarkin · 08/04/2008 22:15

I wouldn't bother daisy, my DU (is that a proper one?) ia station officer here - he is well over 50 and not your tasty "backdraft" type. I'm sure they'll only send out the neear-retirement ones to that kind of thing. Also, firemen aren't supposed to use step ladders, so how do they do it?

Night night. Rx

£95 per head (not including cheese)

C&C was the Jackie problem page. I used to love Jackie. Until I started reading Just 17 (when i was about 15).

justbeme · 08/04/2008 22:28

£95!!!!!!!!! plus drinks!! Enjoy!

My sister read Jackie, I had Misty delivered by the paperboy - my treat to have it brought up to bed by my Mum on a Saturday morning, along with toast and juice!!

Night all x

RiaisMaLarkin · 08/04/2008 22:28

bugger, I have forgotten to wrap birthday presents

OP posts:
RiaisMaLarkin · 08/04/2008 22:32

I used to read Mandy, then progressed to the Beano, Shoot, Smash Hits, then J17 (then my big sis's stash of New Woman)

Who was Stella Starre? )It was ion an annual of my sisters)?

Must go and do birthday stuff.

Did you know Toyah Wilcox had insomnia and only slept 4 hours anight when she was famous? (That's DHs contribution to the evening)

Woohoo Daisy, you have officially entered the horny stage of pregnancy
I think Ria is probably right about the firemen though.

I would be livid if my DD gets up to some of the stuff I did as a teenager, which is a bit hypocritical really isn't it.

lackaDAISYcal · 09/04/2008 09:32

lol sputnik....you might be right. DH and I have had more jiggy in the last three weeks than we did in the eight months prior to that!

slept like a baby in my new bed last night (although I'm sure DH will complain it's a bit soft).....and DD slept through till 7:30 this morning so we are all well rested here

lackaDAISYcal · 09/04/2008 09:35

I was a fan of the mag "misty"...all spooky stories, witchcraft and intrigue and a bit different. then it joined forces with one of the regular girls mags (mandy or something) and went all boys and ponies.

I was never a fan of Jackie....went straight onto Smash Hits after that. I never bought an adult woman's mag regularly either. I only get them if there is free stuff , although If i get one now it tends to be something like Woman and Home, as the last freebie there was a No7 lippy

RiaisMaLarkin · 09/04/2008 09:37

morning.

My DS is 11.

I am meant to be tidying for his treat of choice - inviting the GPs round for takeaway, but I can't be bothered just yet. Instead I have been reading the playmobil thread and decided mixed up is the way to go, due to a large donation of pre-mixed stuff (and having already got the starwars lego which costs millions of pounds kept separate)

I am very tired - I had to take DS2 back to bed last night (just as I'd started watching West Side Story) nd fell asleep. I had to get up at 4.30 to wrap his telescope (which wasn't easy considering DH forgot to buy wrapping paper).

HellHathNoFury · 09/04/2008 10:00

Right.
Who do you fancy but you know you shouldn't?
I'll start.

Simon Pegg.
Bill Bailey.
The bumbling stockbroker from Notting Hill.

lackaDAISYcal · 09/04/2008 10:07

johnny vegas
gordon ramsay
one of the GPs at my practice
my BIL in an "if only I'd met you first" kind of way

HellHathNoFury · 09/04/2008 10:23

lol Daisy at the BIL comment
that's BAD

I have another to add to the list...John Thomson from Cold Feet (the chubby one)

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 09/04/2008 10:46

I also fancy Simon Pegg, but don't know why I shouldn't tbh.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 09/04/2008 10:59

OK, off to clear up pre-inlaws

foxythesnowman · 09/04/2008 11:02

couldn't think of anyone.

How depressing.

HellHathNoFury · 09/04/2008 11:06

Foxy, that IS depressing.

Well Simon Pegg is hardly George Clooney imho

lackaDAISYcal · 09/04/2008 11:07

don't worry foxy, it just means you have normal tastes and all the blokes you fancy are actually quite fanciable

I have just eaten two marshmallow snowballs, and am eyeing up a third....

foxythesnowman · 09/04/2008 11:08

I used to fancy our old postman.

And nearly collapsed when I saw him in bikers leathers at Sainsburys one day

Does that count?
