Lupins71 · 30/04/2008 13:12

CREENA mum thinks she is possibly going through it now, dont know if it matters but she had a hysterectomy at about my age also my periods have only been about 2 days and that has been light, they were quite heavy and painful for a while

LGT [SHOCK] total bargain on the buzz, loolas dont actually go for much, I dont actually like the buzz altho its the only quinny i dont like they are really fab buggys very well made, I have just swopped my luna for a zapp which i'm hoping to get this weekend, still have my quinny freestyle, maclaren techno(very tatty) would love to get a mutsy and a p&t,

I just walked to Tavistock, only took an hour was a bit soggy tho, also my slimming patches are here, will let you know how they go

Dp actually said he didnt trust me working at the pub cant bloody believe it!"!!! The crapI have put up with from him and I am still here and he's worried about me going to work in the pub - Must say I was in total shock

ShowOfHands · 30/04/2008 13:20

PJ, scared bit normal (all part of separation anxiety). DD only clapped for the first time the other day and in response to one of my favourite songs. Tis by no means time to start worrying about clapping. She's got plenty of time to do it. And the Guardian isn't posh. I'm a pinko liberal hippy and I read it. The FT is posh. Another baby? Shucks, double the worry.

Now, is it time to fret about the MMR? I know you're right there with me PJ. Do I do it? Don't I? What about single vaccines?

L may never sleep through you know. She will self-settle though. In her own time. With gentle encouragement from a relaxed and calm zen-like mother.

Pinkjenny · 30/04/2008 13:27

SOH - I swear I posted that exact same sentence about the MMR last week!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what to do either.

On the whole 'worry' front, the anxiety management group is really helping. Lexie banged her mouth on Sunday throwing herself about and it was bleeding. And I am proud to say, I actually remained zen-like and tended to my bleeding daughter. I got a round of applause on Monday for that.

And on the sleeping, I'm just trying to take it as it comes, although I am always interested in 'success' stories.

largeginandtonic · 30/04/2008 13:37

Stab the child fgs, i know it is a small chance they wil get all these nasties but STILL if they do it could be bad. Just look at Jonah, he nearly died form the feckin chicken pox, if they bought the vaccine over here i would have given it to Beau.

Lups i want a gecko but they go for too much still. Could you be pregnant Lups? Light period and all that, just a thought. My dh would never let me work in a pub either, far too jealous. Of course i have to wave him off to work as some nutter politically correct person decided to put WOMEN on the ships. I have heard too many stories.

Beau claps but wont wave, he will also not be put down and follows me in to the toilet. When i am trying to put shoes on he is right there. [insane emoticon]

largeginandtonic · 30/04/2008 13:39
largeginandtonic · 30/04/2008 13:39

It is not double the worry with 2 nor is it 6 times the worry with 6, if it was i would be dead.

mom2latinoboys · 30/04/2008 13:51

Hi all all about this clapping and waving business. Cruz doesn't really do anything. Well he waves (flails is arm up and down) but doesn't clap. Mateo didn't do anything until really late, but I figure since he's my marker as long as Cruz walks, drinks from a cup, and does all the other jazz by 18 months it's all good.

LG&T I'm glad your getting back to normal, just take it easy.

Lups sounds like it could be perimenopause which they say can start in the late 30's. You're probably just exhausted, and maybe side affects of medication.

ShowOfHands · 30/04/2008 13:52

LG&T did I say that I sort of know somebody who works with N. DH's grandma's best friend's dd is at the same base as him. In the Falklands atm and confirms how predatory naval women can be. See officer, pounce sort of thing. I suppose not all officers have such a stunning wife to go home to as N does and fall for it too.

I'm quite good at healthy neglect with M. A small amount of fluff off the carpet won't damage her intestines and I've given up stopping her opening and closing her drawers. She traps her fingers very regularly but she will learn. [evil] It's just when she's ill I fall apart.

Lups, fgs. Yes, you work at a pub, you must be shagging everybody who enters the building. The cheek. I couldn't work in a pub. I only found out the other day that there are different types of beer. Bitter for example is not lager. Who knew? (er everybody I suspect). [teetotal] BTW, could be perimenopause, goes on for ages sometimes. Otherwise I would suggest pregnancy or thyroid. Make sure they're checked!

We're getting two geckos. We're calling them Sinister and Dexter. I suspect that you don't mean lizards do you? Don't really know what lulazappetydoodahs are.

Pinkjenny · 30/04/2008 13:53

Thanks LG & T - its certainly an interesting group! There is a guy that goes who is only the same age as me and usually doesn't say very much at all. However, on Monday he started to open up, but also started to cry. One of the more obnoxious group members remarked, 'Oh, I've walked into One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.'

largeginandtonic · 30/04/2008 14:10

Stunning wife you say >

Pink what a twat (see am not posh, posh birds don't say twat)
Glad it is going well, fib=nal part fo therapy includes practical ie staying with me

You know SOH is coming soon....

Get back in your country box you

Have to pack the car, do the fifty million school runs and drive the children to Plymouth. Both boys asleep Life sucks.

largeginandtonic · 30/04/2008 14:12

Cant type, re education going well.

mom2latinoboys · 30/04/2008 15:03

SOH, fluff? ha! The day I found Mateo in his crib with poop all over his hands and face was the day I stopped caring about fluff and paper. I figure, if he eats his own poop and survives he'll survive anything.

TillyScoutsmum · 30/04/2008 15:14

Thought I'd pop by and say hi

Pink - dd claps and waves but doesn't cruise, can't stand on her own, doesn't bloody eat much (apart from copious amounts of fluff), and will not fecking sleep through the fecking night. Grrrrrr

And relaaaax

Glad consultant went well LG&T

Lups - there's lots of early menopause in our family (mum was 37, nan was 38) so I have been warned I may need to get a shift on if I want another

Right I'm off to attempt to make a birthday cake (never done one before - never even baked a cake) so it could be disastrous

Lupins71 · 30/04/2008 15:26

LGT when you off to Plymouth and how long for??? I like the bugaboo's altho not too keen on the bee have only seen pics tho, the buzz does look nice but it is a bit off all of something but not anything definate iykwim, and where the heck do you put your bags

Have been reading more Perimenopausal stuff, hmm, hopefully doc will shed light on it

PJ well done you on not panicking, awww at that poor guy opening up like that and then being madefun of like that how cruel

Lupins71 · 30/04/2008 15:28

www.hushpuppies.co.uk/en-GB/Shop/Detail.aspx?NavID=K%3aBNA&SID=28611&GNavID=K

Pinkjenny · 30/04/2008 16:25

Lups - they are so cute. Am perusing the girls section as we speak.

ShowOfHands · 30/04/2008 16:32

LG&T you are stunning. Even more so in the flesh.

They probably don't make shoes big enough for the Tank. Her feet are huge.

TillyScoutsmum · 30/04/2008 17:21

Mine's a tank as well SOH (maybe its a Mat/hilda thing We were thinking of Daisy as a potential name but a little delicate flower my girl ain't

I'm pretty sure her feet are big but not sure what the "norm" is - she's just had her first pair of shoes and they're a 5F. They'd need to be pretty substantial to hold up her girth, bless her

Lupins71 · 30/04/2008 18:26

SOH A's feet are really chunky - they didnt ave anything to fit him in clarks, he has a really high fit

Back from quacks and she seemed fairly useless tbh, she is sending me for a blood test to check my hormones but I think she was trying to see if it was pnd more than pmt her questions seemed to begoing that way but i thinki put pay to that idea lol - so we will await test results and see what on earth may be going on

ShowOfHands · 30/04/2008 19:08

Mathilda is a 5H and currently weighs 28lb. That's 2 stone. She's less chubby than she was, she's just very tall. Like the milkman.

My poor back. Mathilda means mighty in battle and that she would be. Trounce the lot of them.

TillyScoutsmum I've never said hello properly to you although I probably shouldn't stand close to you. This lot'll tell you. I'm virginal and pure and don't think I didn't see that thread on foreplay you started. You'd get on well with LG&T, she's a right un with her 27 children and insatiable appetites. Don't ask what she did New Year's 06/07 whilst pregnant. Actually, LG&T that bath I've been in at your house. Is that the bath? Oh God, I have to scrub myself.

Lups, GP sounds as much use as a bag of frogs. Wait for the hormone results and if inconclusive then get pushy. Use your best feisty barmaid voice.

Oh dear, small person scaling the fire guard like a monkey. She's about a metre off the ground and swinging whilst shouting 'uh oh, uh oh'. Must avert disaster...

AprilMeadow · 30/04/2008 20:22

Hi ladies!

SOH, it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good to have you back! I have been having a good chuckle whilst catching up.

Ella is only a 3f! And i htink she weighs about 19lbs.... might get her weighed tomorrow. Oh and tooth number two came through today 10 days after the first.

Been totally crap at posting mainly due to the fact that i am so busy.. managed to complete all my financial year end bits and bobs today which was 1)fab as i have never done it before and am very proud of self and 2) did it in record time according to my boss! Also been sorting the last minute bits for MIL's wedding on Saturday. Paid for it all then 2 people cancelled on me do you think they heard me give my card details and then think it would be funny.... Trying to pack and make sure that i have remembered everything for our holiday on Sunday. AND have been sorting the deliveries of the bathrooms and kitchen stuff for new house that completes on Tuesday. plus i have a new worry which means that i am crossing fingers for af to arrive whilst we are away...

AM

TillyScoutsmum · 30/04/2008 20:39

Oooh AM

Hello SOH - Tis true, I'm nothing but a wanton hussey (well, maybe once a fortnight and on bank holidays ) I'm positively chaste and virtuous compared to some on mnet. Have you seen the current thread re: the bottle

Our dd's are obviously well named - I think mine was about 25 lb last time I had her weighed (which was probably about 6 weeks ago [bad mum emoticon]). She's clearly inherited my chubby large frame

Pinkjenny · 30/04/2008 20:45

Why won't this child stay asleep

AprilMeadow · 30/04/2008 20:49

I feel sick just at the thought of it! Dh being really good but have packed some tests just so i am not worrying the entire time we are away! Its not going to stop me going on all the rollercoasters
