What does beer taste like?

Mum2G · 18/04/2008 21:56

Evening all,

thanks lgt for having us all today, it was worth all the effort getting there and back and i live the closest! (I am definately getting a more bus friendly buggy)

It was so lovely to see how they have all grown! Lovely to meet you and your little ones Sky, Scoot and MRSJB! The two Georgies played very nicely together, Beau has got the cutest red hair, and Ella looked gorgeous with her wee bunches, sorry you couldn't make it Pebble - we will have to do a mini meet another time

i must say all the mummies looked very glam, i on the other hand arrived looking like a drowned rat, having got caught in the rain

right am off for an early night as off to Swindon early tommorrow

scootermum · 18/04/2008 21:56

largeginandtonic · 18/04/2008 22:02

Night night my lovely friends.

mom2latinoboys · 19/04/2008 01:01

HI all. Glad everyone had fun today. I helped someone from your side of the pond at work today so I feel like I was there in spirit.

Creena · 19/04/2008 09:33

Awwww, so lovely to hear that you all had a wonderful time yesterday. How sweet that all the bubbas got to play together? Did anyone take any photos? Would love to see some!

Scooter - I will have to pick your brains at some point. C will be 18 months old when this LO (hopefully) arrives safe and sound. I've never had children as close together as that before (smallest age gap so far has been five years!) so any Top Tips for looking after a toddler and a newborn would be appreciated! So far, my only idea has been to insist that DH takes a month off work. Don't think that he will though.....

Good to see you about again, SOH. You lot were on top form last night - had me laughing like a drain this morning!

Lupins71 · 19/04/2008 09:35

Sounds like I missed a fun night you nutters

LookattheLottie · 19/04/2008 12:19

Glad you all had a good meet up, am closing my ears to all talk of LG&T's fabulous cakes!

Going to York for my Birthday and trying to book the sodding train tickets. Blardy hell! National Rail, more like National Pain In My Arse! Why do they make it so difficult?

cameroonmama · 19/04/2008 20:49

Pah so much for a lovely night out...

largeginandtonic · 19/04/2008 20:53

What happened then?

cameroonmama · 19/04/2008 21:20

He went to bed at 8pm our time, claiming he was tired Anyone would think he had been on an overnight flight sitting next to the world's largest lady on the world's tiniest seat after a stressful week of planning and strategising.

So Pink, its up to you to fly the flag tonight.

Love the suit btw LG&T, tres chic.

largeginandtonic · 19/04/2008 21:26

Oh fgs, it isnt like he has been entertaining 3 small children for weeks on his own is it!

Wake him UP!

cameroonmama · 19/04/2008 21:29

actually i just did cos its raining and the lights went out tripping a switch and I needed to know where the torch was

Must go to bed now.

largeginandtonic · 19/04/2008 21:34

Night night, he is awake now.... may as well put him to good use

My dh is away The twins are keeping me company, we shared a chinese and watched Doctor Who

SKYTVADDICT · 20/04/2008 07:44

Morning all

Got back from hols last night and had a chinese and didn't do anything else! Now have piles if washing and weather rubbish so will probably take about three weeks to catch up!

Had a lovely time down South, the highlight of course being the meet up. Thanks for hosting LG&T and for the lovely cakes. It was brilliant meeting everyone and all the babies are gorgeous and very good. Sorry to hear your journey home wasn't good scooter and that we didn't get to meet you Pebble. Hope Es foot is better. We went into Portsmouth on the foot ferry after and into Gun Wharf and up Spinnaker Tower. Weather that day not too good though so couldn't see for miles. Had my first KK and DD1 and I are now converts - don't think we can get them round here though. DD1 was quick to point out the stall in Gun Wharf but we were too full by then to buy any.

Hello to everyone else.

Better got and get on with the washing as C decided to wake up at 6.20 this morning, should give me plenty of time to get started.

Lupins71 · 20/04/2008 08:03

SKY glad your hols were good, KK's are great arent they

scootermum · 20/04/2008 13:14

Gaah, had the girls round last night and we made a few too many cocktails..I do not feel too clever today.
Am trying to cook a roast as we haev friends arrifing any minute but really I just want to go back to bed..

Glad you got back ok Sky..its horrid with all the washing to though=worst part of going on hol..

Sorry DH wouldnt put out Cam

When does DH come back largegandt? And the rest of the nippers? It must have seemed so quiet without everyone there...I wonder if there are any KK's left for them?

Best go and put veg in steamer..think this dinner will be horrid..I am the worlds worst cook even when not crippled with a hangover.Crippled I tell you!We will probably end up just having sandwiches at this rate...

TheProdigalShow · 20/04/2008 13:19

I'm watching a film and drinking tea.

DH is in the kitchen doing the necessary with a roast lamb and trimmings.

Scoot love, you need to delegate. And lay off the sauce.

Lupins71 · 20/04/2008 13:34

Dp thought he was in fo ra quiet day and I have had him running around all over the place, been to b&q and bought a chainsaw and just sent him to go and chop logs in the wilderness whilst me and dd try and get the back yard looking reasonable - no point calling it a garden as theres no grass and its tiny,

Scoot hope your head gets better, nothing worse than feeling crap and having to entertain

AprilMeadow · 20/04/2008 16:39

Happy Sunday!

Been out furniture shopping for new house today and have bought the bits for our dining room. Nice reclaimed Oak table and 8 chairs with a lovely white and lilac print (looks better than it sounds) plus matching sideboard and mirror. Also got a nice corner sofa for the family room (that'll be the room we put the kids in and shut the doors on )

Ds has been testing the limits all day but one mention of the birthday fairy not coming and he behaves a bit better (for all of 2 mins).

MrsJB, i hope you had a safe journey home - i think you must be back by now.....

Sky, glad you got home safe.. I hate holiday washing!

OP posts:
charleymouse · 20/04/2008 16:46

Afternoon all hope you are well hope the coloscopy wasn't to bad G&T, welcome home SOH, just popping in as have to proof read DHs risk assessments and COSH? reports for work tomorrow. Have been laying flooring all week so had no chance to catch up really.

PS Blatantly ignoring the fact some of you (sniff) had a meet up. DH was a bit reluctant when I mentioned driving to Portsmouth for donuts and when I checked the trains the ungodly hour to set off was a bit off putting. Will gladly get to Cambridge for a mini meet though

Lupins71 · 21/04/2008 04:53

AM did Ellas pressie arrive?

Have been up since 3am A seems full of energy - just as well he is so cute, he managed 2 stairs today arghhhhh

TheProdigalShow · 21/04/2008 08:53

Lupins I presume being a vigilant and dedicated parent you were watching this development. Naughty me looked away this morning (okay I was gazing forlornly at gingerbread wondering if 7am was too early), looked back and Mathilda was halfway up the stairs carrying a watering can no less. Gawd only knows how she hadn't fallen back down. Actually, I'm sure that watering can was in the coal shed last night. Always wonder what the small person does while I'm asleep. We have stairgates sitting in the cupboard waiting for me to figure out how to fit them.

Bad mummy.

7am wasn't too early btw.

Two colds going for cheap. One baby cold, one grumpy adult cold. If unsold I'm packaging them up and sending them anyway.

Lupins71 · 21/04/2008 09:34

SOH I was at the foot of the stairs watching in amaement - lucky as he fell back at stair 2, Im sure it wont be long tho until he is up em' without me looking, you can keep your cold, if you find a buyer tell them I have a lack of sleep induced headache going cheap, maybe we could offer a buy one get one free offer might have more luck shifting them, oh god now he is at the dvd player

I watched an interesting programme at stupid o'clock about finding identity of unknown child on titanic - was almost weepy when they found out who he was - poor little mite was only 13months old he could have been saved but his mother wouldnt leave her other children even tho her and little one were given a place in one of the lifeboats, what a choice for a mother to have to make how awful for her

On that cheery note have a lovely day all
