Hi Ladies, it said we needed a new thread

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
scootermum · 18/04/2008 21:03

No Cam But I considered trying to stuff one of the kids' nappies down my knickers when we were in the traffic jam and using that..desperate times, desperate measures (unfortunately there was a lorry next to us and the driver would have been afforded a wonderful few of the spectacle..so I refrained)

cameroonmama · 18/04/2008 21:04

Perish the thought.

elkiedee · 18/04/2008 21:05

Glad those who made it to the meet up had a great time.

Hope PJ is having a great time now!

Interesting thoughts about sleeping. D is usually (bottle) fed to sleep some time between 7 and 8, he's gone back to waking in the night but only for half an hour and often earlier in the night (though 3 am last night) - he had a spell when it was regularly 3 hours and fortunately it ended before I had to go back to work but I got worried. He does sleep in his cot at night but it's in our room, and for day time naps I tend to leave him in the buggy if that's where he's fallen asleep - I did carry him upstairs but I've found that if he wakes up and sees me/us there and he's still tired he will close his eyes then so often has a better nap. He's now at a childminder's - she has the travel cot in the front room but I've said to her that if he wants to sleep in the buggy not to worry about it, it's basically what I do.

TheProdigalShow · 18/04/2008 21:05

You people have sex for reasons other than procreation? Hussies.

LG&T, check fb chick, wanna come and see you next month. PJ can come too- she lives in a place impossible to find without a map btw, me n dh tried. Two little girlies for Phin to pink it up with. Would be fun methinks.

Shall we have a Cambs meet before the Nairobi one? We can punt it down the river.

cameroonmama · 18/04/2008 21:06

Pink, being a Scouser makes you more than likely a good Catholic girl, not so? If that's the case then you are genetically programmed to bang out babies one after the other. Its useless fighting it, best you go with the flow..

Pinkjenny · 18/04/2008 21:07

Oh SOH, I'm excited now! Let's all go and stay at LG & T's please can we, please. Where DOES SHE LIVE THOUGH!!!!!!!!!

She has told me, but the Chardonnay is clouding my memory.

scootermum · 18/04/2008 21:10

Tell that to DH..he is a Catholic so heshould be pressuring me

Cambridge meet up would be fabbo-only 40 mins from me..anyone is welcome to stay at my gaff if they want...plus will get DH to mind the kids at night and whoever comes gets to see Scoot on a night out..mini skirts at the ready

TheProdigalShow · 18/04/2008 21:11

If I deign to do the nasty with dh will he buy me a kune kune? Don't want a baby, just the kune. And gingerbread.

cameroonmama · 18/04/2008 21:11
scootermum · 18/04/2008 21:12

A Whats-that now?!Some sort of luuurve making aid?

Pinkjenny · 18/04/2008 21:12

Oh stop it, you're all teasing me with this talk of nights out and mini-skirts. Oh, how I remember those days.

How old was L when you got pregnant with M Scoot?

Cam - I will have a shellsuit customised for L, and one of those elastic hairbands with a bow on that I see so much on the babies with pierced ears in the City Centre.

elkiedee · 18/04/2008 21:12

I'd be interested in a Cambridge meet up - or elsewhere along the train lines in that area. Cambridge is easier to get to with a buggy from here than most of London.

Not sure about punting though, I will sit and watch and try to stop D diving into the river (or keep him fastened into the buggy!)

TheProdigalShow · 18/04/2008 21:14

Gosport PJ.

I'll crash at yours Scootypie, but you don't want to see me in a skirt. Shall dig out my finest tie-dyed homemade ensemble.

cameroonmama · 18/04/2008 21:14

Some sort of weird lentil-weaving feng shui pig feeder I expect.

Pinkjenny · 18/04/2008 21:15

Gosport? Where? Is it past Birmingham? Only joshing ladies. I really don't know where Gosport is though. Is it very far? I'm thinking it is.

Come on SOH, what is a kune? Can I eat it?

scootermum · 18/04/2008 21:16

8 or 9 months..she was just about 17 months when M arrived I think..lovely gap..im not tired at all But actually it is-they are so sweet together and L was too little t get really jealous of M when she arrived..

You're never too old to get yer knees out lady!

scootermum · 18/04/2008 21:18

Well Tie dye is all the rage this season! It said so in Grazia magazine. You have started a major trend!Work it, work it..Also big floppy hats!Really!Do you secretly work for Marc Jacobs or Chanel?!

TheProdigalShow · 18/04/2008 21:20

elkie would be fab to meet you and talk music. Let's do Cambridge.

Shame on you not knowing what a kune kune is. Tis Maori for fat and round I think. Is that clue enough?

cameroonmama · 18/04/2008 21:20

Haha, look I wasn't far off...

Pinkjenny · 18/04/2008 21:20

253.9 miles, oh that's great. Very do-able. My legs used to be OK, now they are like the rest of me, revolting.

Tie dye is bang on trend, absolutely Scoot. All this time SOH has been pretending she is a hippy when really she's the secret love child of Anna Wintour.

cameroonmama · 18/04/2008 21:21

In Kiswahili it means firewood

scootermum · 18/04/2008 21:23

That pig is pretty sweet.
Expect to see SOH sashaying down a catwalk, resplendent in tye dye and a large hat, carrying said pig in a one off Louis Vuitton pig carrying case 'Pigs are the new chiuahaha y'know'

TheProdigalShow · 18/04/2008 21:24

Are Marc Jacobs and Chanel celebrities out of heat? I do not partake of such drivel.

eat a kune. Not my kune.

Gosport's in Scotland.

Pinkjenny · 18/04/2008 21:25

No its not, its in Hampshire . Scotland would be bloody better.

What station would I go to to stalk LG & T, I'm doing a route planner.

scootermum · 18/04/2008 21:26

No neither do I..>>runs to hide half a hundred weight of magazines beneath sofa and replace with a copy of The Belljar and other serious novels
