we are currently not talking - though how the hell he thinks that it going to help is beyond me!

Caz - in a horribly gruff and grumpy (so not nice at all) tone - can I say I'm sorry you're facing all this trouble. Will pray about it - that's not me being nice either - just normal. Pleased I made you smile too - but bit worried about what Dippy will say when she comes back from her shower.......

My sil has just been on the phone to me - her baby ds was circuncised for religious reasons yesterday. poor little man
I am in no way anti religion, but can't help but feel quite uneasy about sil and her partner. He is a muslim (she is not) and they are bringing up their dc according to his religion - fine - but he seems very odd about it. He only follows some bits of it, for instance they are not married - he just seems to go along with the bits that sil and the dc have to do iykwim? what do you all think about that?

Happy Birthday POTC!! love your story about the cake and really happy to hear about the ´potential´. fwiw although dh and I did have a ´spark´ when we met (well there must have been something seeing as we didn´t actually speak each other´s language ) I was convinced for ages that he was just ´too nice´. I finally realised that the very fact that he was, and that he was the opposite of all my previous ex-boyfriends (emphasis on the ex) meant he was actually perfect

not sure about your sil, i guess it depends what other things you mean. After all there are lots of people who very loosely follow the faith of their parents i.e christianity but only pick and choose the bits they follow, iykwim. but can´t really say more without knowing what kind of things you mean. Poor bubba though
