Hi everyone!

SOL, I'm sorry you're feeling down but glad your dh is recognising you're having a bad time and is obviously concerned about you. The planned trip to Slovenia does sound quite tricky to me, I wouldn't be looking forward to it in your shoes, though I would like to revisit and see more of Eastern Europe some time (I visited Berlin in 1990 and Brno/Prague in what's now the Czech Republic in 1991). Can you talk to your dh about your worries and agree something that the 4 of you can do together apart from the ski-ing, and that you can look forward to as opposed to looking after K on your own with so few facilities?

I went to see my cousin this morning but two plans with 3 people for this afternoon all fell through, though at least two of the May 2007 mums have said they'd like to come next Wednesday. So I've been a bit sorry for myself this afternoon. Still, dp's work was 8 to 3 today so hopefully he's on his way home now, and the Teletubbies are keeping D amused while I skive off on the computer! Our cable TV service includes an archive of old programmes, and that contains 27 episode of the Teletubbies. I always feel guilty but putting the TTs on has a miraculous impact.

runnyhabbit · 20/02/2008 15:22

Afternoon all

sol I can totally relate to how you're feeling. Agree with Mj about the pill (although haven't actually got mine yet) but I also found magnesium and evening primose supplements really helped. As for going away, I might being going against the grain here, but I wouldn't go away while feeling like this. Purely because I think it would cause major upset between me and dh. I'd be resenting him for having the "fun" time, while I'm trying to manage boiling water in pans etc
mj Glad F is better - really need to go for coffee soon
potc you and a hug? Think Ineed to lie down...

Hello to everyone else

Btw, J started doing what looked like an irish jig earlier so asked him if he needed a wee, and then he ran to the potty and wee'd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(I am so easily pleased)

StealthPolarBear · 20/02/2008 15:38

hi everyone

runnyhabbit · 20/02/2008 17:19

Good grief, it's quiet on here

Have you gone and got lives

(going to go and see if I can find my life in the cupboard under the stairs....I may be gone for some time)

cazboldy · 20/02/2008 17:31

Hi all - sol sorry you feel so down. hope you feel better soon. I reckon it was oil of evening primrose that made charlie and molly come along, so maybe the pill would be a good idea

elkiedee · 20/02/2008 17:34

No life here, just waiting for some posts to respond to.

LOL at oil of evening primrose.

runnyhabbit · 20/02/2008 17:35

good job I've got a coil

Sexonlegs · 20/02/2008 17:43

Blimey, I bought some oil of evening primrose last week. Perhaps I won't be takng it....

Runny, great news that the potty training is going so well. It is such a milestone

NL, did you manage the school run or were you frozen in your tracks? Sorry that the feedback on your place wasn't so positive. The next person will fall in love with the place

Hi Elkie, MJ, Caz and SPB. Thank you very much for your support - it is really appreciated.

Am going to talk to dh tonight and see what he thinks re the trip.

B had a great time at her friends, and is playing upstairs with her "big" friend - our 10 year old neighbour who she idolises.
K doing ok - her eyes are taking a while to clear up. She is snotty as hell and teething, and whilst she is still reasonably happy, she is more clingy than usual. Cannot believe she is 10 months old today - where the hell did that go?

Hope everyone is ok.

NorthernLurker · 20/02/2008 18:20

SOL - thankfully it hard warmed up a bit! B is 10 mths tomorrow - it has gone so fast. WO - C is 10 mths tomorrow as well isn't she?

CaptainDippy · 20/02/2008 18:25

Only zooming in - dad is here, we've been bowling this pm

Just wanted to ask runny if she found herl ifeu nder the stairs?? And if so, could she have a quick look for mine next time she's down there!!?

NorthernLurker · 20/02/2008 18:29

Has everyone seen this

cazboldy · 20/02/2008 18:36

yes NL - and filled it in - I had no idea - how tragic

guess it puts things into perspective!

cazboldy · 20/02/2008 18:37

Glad you seem a bit more "upbeat" Dippy

cazboldy · 20/02/2008 18:37

I have given up - what will be will be - I just can't worry about it anymore

NorthernLurker · 20/02/2008 18:41

Yes it's awful Caz - I've been thinking - as mothers I bet we can all recite the symptoms of meningitis off by heart - and rightly so - but looking at posts both on this website and the Jessica's Trust one -it's perfectly plain that our knowledge of a complication which could kill us is broadly lacking!

oooggs · 20/02/2008 19:23

hi all - busy day - builder & architect jsut left and we should have plans in 2 weeks.

Erin is fine - some massive poos though.

Have to go to work tomorrow to see what is going on they keep saying that its ages until I go back no it isn't.

NorthernLurker · 20/02/2008 19:27

we can still say we're going back 'after easter' though oooggs - it's when that's past that we're really in trouble!

All girls bath an scrubbed - is there anything cuter than a sleepy newly washed baby?

oooggs · 20/02/2008 19:34

yes true NL it is still after Easter

Pesha · 20/02/2008 20:21

NL - Think that is what I had, had strep a womb infection so guess so. Just told dp how serious it was/could have been and hes now feeling suitably guilty about going on a stag weekend 3 days after I was released from hospital!

Late night last night, friend stayed round with her dds and we stayed up very late and had a lot of few drinks! Been to soft play with friend's dd1, my 3, my mum, my sis and her dd. Knackered now though! And D is upstairs chatting away in his cot As long as he chats himself to sleep I dont mind!

NorthernLurker · 20/02/2008 20:24

Pesha - it is scary isn't it. Good that you've now got some dp guilt in the bank though....never know when you'll need that!

CaptainDippy · 20/02/2008 20:51

Evening all.

elkiedee · 20/02/2008 20:52

Evening Dippy

NorthernLurker · 20/02/2008 20:59

Evening!

Elkie is D off to sleep yet?

Dippy how are the poorly babes?
