babysitting is not an option - will not leave them just to go to a family wedding reception so it is all or nothing.

eddas -- present - you think I am buying anything

yes you are right - we should go, look fantastic, parade around our freak show darling children and leave smiling all the way to the car

AngeG · 24/02/2008 21:55

Fair enough Oooggs, in that case it's all and do as NL says!

NorthernLurker · 24/02/2008 21:56

You are definately going to need something fab to wear Oooggs - and the presemt - I would either buy something fabulous that you know they will never use - personally I would go for a kitchen blow torch - although I love mine - but I am not your future sil - is she into caramalising stuff? Or - other option is buy something but 'forget' to leave it at the reception and then 'forget' to bring it over for the next five years.......

AngeG · 24/02/2008 21:57

lol NL

Eddas · 24/02/2008 21:58

families can be such a pita

You could always not go and send a message to be read out saying "sorry we couldn't be here, but you did't want our children there, but best of luck with your marriage to C (you are going to need it), who has 3 children by 3 different men, is 9 years older than you, has had 2 divorces already and has loads of tattoos"

oooggs · 24/02/2008 21:59

well its not until July so you can do the outfit shopping for me when the summer stuff is about

have already bought dd a dress

NorthernLurker · 24/02/2008 21:59

this is what I want to get for B to wear to the wedding where the big girls are bridesmaids

with this - in green or strawberry?

Eddas · 24/02/2008 21:59

NL my SIL/BIL and MIL did that at our wedding they said we didn't get you a present as wasn't sure what to get(try reading the list[der]) so tell us and we'll get you something still waiting(got married in Sept 2002!)

oooggs · 24/02/2008 22:01

they are so pretty NL

eddas - you are so funny and that would be soooooo good [evil cackle]

NorthernLurker · 24/02/2008 22:02

Eddas - send them a reminder (and add interest on )

Oooggs - this is nice - but too warm for July?

oooggs · 24/02/2008 22:02

they haven't sent a list don't ask, don't get?

oooggs · 24/02/2008 22:03

probably too warm and I don't do green

Eddas · 24/02/2008 22:06

NL I would but since my mum died and dad has been as useful as a chocolate teapot(actually not even that good!) SIL/BIL and MIL are the only ones who can help with babysitting so I think they've outdone even my biggest wedding gift I didn't know them all very well until I had dd and now I love them all dearly. Even MIL

oooggs, since meeting step mother I have come up with several evil plans, have yet to actually do any of them yet but just waiting for her to do something to really piss me off Maybe you could put something in their card I AM A BITCH

AngeG · 24/02/2008 22:06
