Shimmer · 20/02/2008 21:36

I'm still here. Even though i don't get a chnace to post very oftn i read through posts pretty much everyday, so i feel like i'm keeping up with you

I'm meant to be working now actually, work is hectic just now and i'm endning up doing it at home in the evening But i'm actually on MNet, with a glass of red, eating a choc ice and watching the Brits instead... hows that for multitasking?! Ohhhh I think the Arctic Monkeys are pissed hehehe

Have fun in Edinburgh tomorrow 2Happy! Hope you find the remote control!

Hope your feeling a bit more cheerful tonight Vino... I know that peeved at the world feeling well!

Sorry Wilkie but PMSL at you driving up to a house and going M-A-N-K-Y and diving off

Ok better go do something productive before bed....

Shimmer · 20/02/2008 21:39

Wilkie, obviously that should have said dRiving off, not diving off the house. As if you'd hate a house so much you'd dive off it?????

eandh · 21/02/2008 08:29

morning - had a better night but h still up between 2.30 and 3.15 but ignored her they both slept till 6.45 so feeling quite refreshed!

They are currently chasing each other around in a big circle in the lounge and finding it hilariously funny oh well at leats they are not botehring me

vinorouge · 21/02/2008 10:14

Wilkie - I would have driven off too! When I was viewing rental stuff in Hull (I lived there for a very unhappy 9 months)I did the same when mum and I pulled up outside one house. I also gave very honest feedback on a house we'd viewed saying it smelt of cigarettes and dog and I couldn't see past the smell. THe estate agent went very quiet.

Feeling brighter today. I know your suggestion WIlkie was good, for DH to set a couple of nights to be home early but I know its hard for him cos the project he is working on is under so much pressure and hes struggling maanging off shore people in India who do their work overnight and what seem to be lazy people in his office who do the minimum rather than going the extra mile IYKWIM. Its a vicious circle cos the money from his overtime is useful esp now we have a huge mortgage and need to buy stuff for the house.

Anyway I busied myself sorting out our clothes last nigth as we have no wardrobes (and they are long way down list of priorities) so we have rails and our stuff was all higgoldypiggoldy. Organised now!

oops just realised we haev mmr at 11, e is alseep and I need to get ready to walk to doctors. Best dash!

Swimming this afternoon then meeting some mum friends for a bite to eat afterwards so hoping E won't be grumpy. DH going straight to footy so even tho Eand I will be late home we'll still beat him. Then I need to do some work tonight so I don;t have to do it at the weekend and cos next Fri I only want to work in the morn so I can take E to birthday party in the afternoon.

H2happy enjoy the MN meet up.

MrsCarrot · 21/02/2008 10:18

I am sure I just posted and it gone?

Anyway, 2happy, what do mean but the breastfeeding affecting your smear results, can it show an abnormailty then. I have had the treatment again. Have ranted about it here

ladytophamhatt · 21/02/2008 11:02

Ds3 had tonsillitus now

Since 1st jan, they've all had the sicky bug, some of them twice. ds3 has had CP, G has had tonsilutus, now G has(had) CP and ds3 has tonsillitus.

FFS, can someone tell whoever is in charge that I AM NOT FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE AND I'M NOT PLAYING ANYWAY.

Thanks.

MrsCarrot · 21/02/2008 11:18

Blimey - maybe you all need a holiday, lth, somewhere warm and not camping or sc either. Food made for you and no washing up!

ladytophamhatt · 21/02/2008 14:27

Dh has just bought a new Kyak.

He has 2 already so said i can have to money to go shoppping with too.

I told him I want a new buggy and he moaned about it.

I don't need a new buggy, the one(s) we have work perfectly well but 1 is too bulky and the wheels squeek and piss me off (I never use this one), the other is old(ds3s from when he was about 5 months) and has mouldy spots on it from getting damp in the garage and the other is my lovely 3 wheeler that is used whenever I/we walk anywhere.

Its teh moudy one that I want to replace, it does get used alot because its in the car (3 wheeler is a pain to get in th car).

I knwo its ridiculous but isn't it a abit rich of DH to moan about it when he has 2 Kyaks already and a new buggy cost 1/4 of the cost.

And wheres Lizzzz, I wonder if her offer of discount still stands at mothercare?

ladytophamhatt · 21/02/2008 14:35

I'm going to start my every first AIBU thread about it actually.....

theUrbanDryad · 21/02/2008 14:39

hey - i am still here. we have all been extremely ill. i keep fainting. but i'm still here!!

LTH - tell dh i said to let you buy a new buggy. the iCoo Plasma 7 is fabbo IMO...

2happy · 21/02/2008 19:32

I need a smile. Anyone got anything cheery to say?

Reggiee · 21/02/2008 19:41

Just re-read that and it sounds really awful . Sorry to sound unsympathetic when there's so much shit about at the minute. But am on my own at the minute and in need of cheering up.

eandh · 21/02/2008 19:55

LTH - just buy a new pushchair - which one you looking at I love my mclaren

Mrs c - that sounds awful reminds me must book my very overdue smear

Rgee - whats the matter mate? will this help??

2happy · 21/02/2008 19:58

I still say getting relatives organised to look after kids etc means I have to prioritise: I will get my hair cut before I even consider booking a smear

eandh · 21/02/2008 20:01

yep thinking about it the days the nurse i like at drs work ar also days my Mum works so although E will be at preschool, H would probably have to come I need a haircut so badly I may make appt for my lunch hour tomorrow (actually it'll have to wat till monday when we get paid)

eandh · 21/02/2008 20:05

the other nurse at the dr's is my mum and dads friend and I cannot face her doing my smear

2happy · 21/02/2008 20:09

Stear clear of my docs as much as possible so deffo don't know which nurse is which! They all have to be better than the time I went to a family planning clinic for pills, got pounced on as due for a smear. Stupid bint made me strip off and spread 'em with no curtain with my bits facing an open window . AND it bloody came back unsatisfactory

OP posts:
Reggiee · 21/02/2008 20:19

Do all smears come back unsatisfactory? My last 3 came back not enough sample taken so had to go for a colposcopy (big sympathies btw MrsC). I watched what they were doing on a tv monitor (with camera up fanjo), but they hadn't warned me they were going to give me a local anasthetic up there, and it took a while for the brain to register the needel on the tv screen was being inserted....ouch...

Reggiee · 21/02/2008 20:20

God am bored and my shoulder hurts.
FRealised i hadn't laughed today. Anyone got any good jokes?

2happy · 21/02/2008 20:22

Two snowmen in a field. One says to the other "can you smell carrots??"

OP posts:
eandh · 21/02/2008 20:26

right this is truly shite but ellie says it all teh time (something form backyardigans but shes obviously misheard it)

'knock knock'
'whose there'
'orange who'
'banana' cue hilarious fake laughing from overexcited 'think i am so clever' 3 year old

eandh · 21/02/2008 20:27

and I missed the first reply of 'orange' then 'orange who!'

MrsCarrot · 21/02/2008 20:27

you watched on the screen, reggie I aske for it to be turned away.

Reggiee · 21/02/2008 20:44

PMSL 2H & eah.

MrsC I figured it might take my mind of what was really going on by pretending I was watching telly
