Very nice, gower is lovely, lots of posh people and expensive houses!

mammyjo · 01/02/2008 12:45

Lovely for scenic walks in the summer, and close to west wales for a couple of theme parks which are good for children. One in particular, folly farm, is fab for pre schoolers.

Sexonlegs · 01/02/2008 12:49

Sounds grand. We did go a few years ago as dh used to go to Swansea Uni and wanted to show me around.

Totally unrelated, I saw a van the other day with the company name of "The Lady Gardener" on the side. Pmsl!

We have been to Folly Farm a couple of times now and it is fab! Loads to do and the dc loved it, Nathan when he was nearly 2 particularly loved the ride on tractors, we couldnt get him away!!

CaptainDippy · 01/02/2008 13:06

I believe it's a contraption you hire out for cleaning your rugs, Pesha!

StealthPolarBear · 01/02/2008 13:13

Lol Dippy!

You know The Lady Gardener would be a fab name for a waxing um person (what do you call someone who does waxing - waxer, waxist, wax technician?!) Do you think thats what it was SOL? Please say it was!!

StealthPolarBear · 01/02/2008 13:41

think we need to get lay gardeners and rug badgers into our next title as well

Hope GMM is okay.

Fab cake Luce!! Puts my mermaid effort to shame!

Right, off to sand down and paint some shelves while O is finally sleeping (she seems to be quite unpredictable about whether she'll nap before lunch or after atm - and of course today, because I deliberately didn't take her to baby rhymetime at the library so she could have a good sleep and I could do the shelves, she has been awake all morning ).

Quick question for those of you whose babies are good sleepers (sorry!) - do you still give milk before breakfast, or just launch straight in with breakfast. I still feed O before breakfast but as this is usually when I have just woken her up at 8am, I wonder whether I'd be better off not bothering and just going downstairs for breakfast. I am planning on tailing off bf a bit now, with a view to stopping by the time she's 1.

mammyjo · 01/02/2008 14:31

Bramshott, I dont give F anything in the morning pre breakfast. She normally wakes about 7am and will then wait happily until 8am when she gets breakfast and a bottle of milk. The only time I may change that is when (like the other morning) she woke at 5.30am. I did give her milk then, but only because I thought it was a bit long to expect her to wait otherwise! That is very much the exception though. It is rare for her to wake so early, thankfully!

Bramshott · 01/02/2008 14:33

Oh well, have sanded them, but they'll have to get painted later as now I have to wake O up and head off to assembly at school. They have a sharing assembly every week and when N started I was adamant that no way was I going every week, but I seem to have sort of fallen into it, and her face lights up when she sees us, so it is worth sitting for 45 mins trying to keep O silent by ramming rice cake after rice cake into her!

Bramshott · 01/02/2008 14:35

Thanks Mammyjo - I think I might try that, at least in the week. I figured that if O wasn't actually waking up for the milk, she couldn't need it that much! Might take a bit of adjustment though as although she's happy in her cot if she's awake, the minute I pick her up she starts fretting and clawing at my jumper!!
