Hope everyone's well and that you found us without too much trouble

my ears weren't burning though Gingeme! It would be good to do a meet up but I don't think I am capable of trains with two babies! Not ever! That is what it feels like. I am sure one day I will escape this flat!! I am having a bad day can you tell......

If you want to tell me your address babyducky then i will search. you will tell its me there is a picture of samantha on my profile picture!

RUMPEL · 01/04/2008 16:06

Hi All,

Am here GINGEME - just been busy with LO and pg and essay writing! Had a very uncomfy weekend - newbie must have been lying transverse unde my ribs as I felt stuffed, tight and uncomfy all weekend. Could hardly eat anything. Wow all your boys together - ENJOY

SAMSMAM - cannot beleive you are talking about another one so soon I thought you didn't like being pg and got ante-natal depression? Never again for me!!! I am a miserable old bag! No goo at this pregnancy lark - unlike some of you!

Never even looked at facebook - nice to know that some of the pre-natal lot are still around though - you wonder what happened to them all. Some of them left with the whole solid food/weaning debaucle

Am due July 20th - feels like ages yet. 10lb weight gain so far. Still want LO to stay in until July - better in than out in this case!

Must go as DD is sleeping and don't want her to sleep too long. She is only napping 1 x a day now in the afternoon - what about everyone else's LOs? Have got her on 3 x spoons of lactulose daily now - am worried it is something we might need to investigate further as it doens't seem to be getting much better .

BABYDUCKY - get your dress made for you - it is so nice and can be cheaper. Mine was lovely. Do you know what you want?
Take care all
xxxx

babyducky · 01/04/2008 17:58

samsmam- its [email protected]

rumpel- have just cut kais naps down to one a day,
I have no idea what kind of dress i want, thats an idea about having it made. They are so expensive in the shops! £400 is the cheapest ive seen!

x

RUMPEL · 01/04/2008 19:53

BABYDUCKY - I always said I would get married in purple velvet and design the dress myself. I did - it was actually a skirt and top but you wouldn't know to look at. I also had a full length cloak with silver satin lining made. My skirt had a puddle train and the top was sweetheart neckline, off the shoulder, with organza bell sleeves, silver emroidery and a curtain tie at the drop waist! All for £770 - well worth it I thought. I bought some ankle boots in the July sales and dyed them purple.
We got married in a tiny castle in the Highlands and it was truly amazing - all weekend event, the weather was glorious (it was March and can still be snowy up there) all the men were in kilts and most of them in plaids too. It was fantastic but very tiring as I had to do everyone's make-up, nails etc. 5 years ago last Saturday
Feels like a lifetime ago now. Have you thought about what colour you would like to wear? What colour are your bridesmaids? Mine were both dark haired and dark skinned but totally different body shapes - 1 apple, 1 pear. I got them beautfiul dresses in dark green - they looked lovely and the dresses flattered thier shapes. Nothing worse than a bride who makes her bridesmaids look hellish so she feels better - think about the photos after all!

babyducky · 01/04/2008 20:18

yeah i remember you saying about your wedding before, sounds lovely,

I think i want an ivory dress, maybe with a bit of gold on it. Bridesmaids are wearing gold, flower girl ivory.

Im going dress shopping again next month, then it'll be a year to go!
I would like to have it made but I couldnt design it myself! Im rubbish at things like that.

RUMPEL · 01/04/2008 20:23

Some dressmakers will help you to design it - between the 2 of you. Are you going for a meringue?

gingeme · 01/04/2008 20:46

Hi ladies. Have had a rough day with Edward today. Hes not at all well bless him and have been taking his tellings off not very well making me feel like a realy bad Mummy. Hes definately cutting more teeth. I think he's just got the top ones on the left to go now.
Hi Rumpel glad your ok, sort of.
My wedding dress was cream and I didn't have bridesmaids as we had a registery office do. Though I did ask people who came to the registery office to wear lilac or purple as my bouquet and the button holes were all lilac(my fave colour) and my aunty made my two boys cream and wine colour waist coats.
Had George weighed today. Hes 11 weeks old on Thursday and already weighs 14lb 1 oz and boy does he feel it now.....
Well Im off for a bath now to soak my aching back.
Take care all xxx

samsmam · 01/04/2008 21:00

runpel- i think the joke with gingeme went a bit far- no more for me..... yet. I am definitely waiting at least a few years but I would like to have my child making done and dusted by the time I am 34. Only 3 years to go! The rough and down days put me off. I do hate being pregnant you are right. Especially as I now am 5 stone overweight and have just embarked on my slimming world attempts- AGAIN!
Babyducky- will check it out on facebook.

taffy101 · 01/04/2008 21:07

ooh ginge - rest before you get 5 boys in the house!!

babyducky - my sis is getting married on 18 April. She told me last friday! She has been living with her bf for 8 years and engaged for about 5 years and they've finally decided to tie the knot! She is only having a small registry office wedding and a bit of a pub lunch after. She said no cake, but I said I would make her one (I enjoy making my kids birthday cakes), not traditional wedding cake but a heart shaped sponge! She's not having a wedding dress, so can't compare notes with you. BTW ivory and gold sounds lovely.

Samsmam - you crazy woman already pining for a 3rd!!

I've not tried looking at facebook yet, will get round to it one day.

I'm going to look at ginge's montage now. Bye

OP posts:
babyducky · 01/04/2008 22:02

sorry to hear edwards not well gingeme, x

samsmam just looking at all your facebook pics!

hi taffy, hope your sis wedding goes well, cake sounds good! We are not having a traditional one either, having a choc one!

Evening ladies. My big boys are here till next Sunday
Trouble is Edward is a bit scared of ds1 in fact he woke up to find ds1 asleep in his room and went a bit mad. Took aaaaages to settle him back to sleep. Hes still been wary of him all day today too. Not sure why exactly matbe its his glasses. Hopefuly hell be ok the longer he is staying.
Apart from that hes doing well. A bit better and saying a few more words. He said 'Connor',ds2's name perfectly yesterday. Connor was quite chuffed
Well I hope your all ok. Have a good weekend all xx

babyducky · 06/04/2008 20:30

Hi all,

gingeme- hope your having a nice time with all your boys, & hope edward has got used to them now,

well it was a waste of time going to see the dermatologist.
All he said was ive gotta keep doing what im doing now, which is using aveeno bath oil & lotion every day & then using steroid cream for a few days every time it flares up.
He said thats all i can do really, & just wait for him to grow out of it

I told him i was worried about using the steroid cream on him too much & he said its fine & wont harm his skin at all??!!!

surely thats not right?

He said the only other thing I can try is just giving him a bath once a week, which i really cant see helping a lot where he only gets the eczema on his face?

So, im gonna sort out an appointment with a homeopath this week i think.

Oh he also said not to cut anything out of his diet as i would be doing more harm than good.

sorry im rambling on now!

whos had snow?
Quite a lot here, hope we get more over night, kai kept running to the window & looking out at it really smiling, wanna take him out in it tomorrow.

hope everyone is well x

gingeme · 07/04/2008 10:10

Hi babyducky. Not going too well here ds3 has gasterenturitis hes very poorly. Drinking Diaralyte today which he seems to be keeping down poor little love.
Edwrad has got used to having his big brothers around now. Hes taking full advantage of them and playing with every toy he owns.
We had snow yesterday. I didn't bother to play in it though too wet and cold for me.
Hope your all fine. xx

RUMPEL · 09/04/2008 15:55

Hi All,

BABYDUCKY - at least you went sounds like he was pretty crap though! I think you should defo see a homeopath - steroid cream thins the skin over time -FACT. The diet thing makes a difference for sure - keep a food diary and cut out one thing for a couple of weeks, then add it in again and see how his eczema responds. Dairy is the main one - you need to check all packets though as they add lactose to cold meat, bacon, whey powder to biscuits etc. If he eats chocolate get him green and black dark choc. You could give him goats milk or soya (some people are allergic to it though) or rice or oat milk. You can also buy dairy free margarine, yogurt and cheese. You could make your own biccies using soya marg instead of butter.
Hope this gives you some ideas.

GINGEME - glad you are enjoying all your boys. Sorry to hear Edward is poorly though - it's a horrible thing.

SAMSMAM - how is wee Sophie settling in?

We are all fine - just knackered as Amber has had me up the past few nights with teeth and the cold - again! She started talking the other day - she said balloon, bye bye (which she won't stop saying now and waving at all and sundry), juice and shoes - all in the one day! She has started crying and clinging to me when I leave her at nursery the last 2 weeks - weird as she had never done it before.

Was very funny last night - she likes to 'help' me by hanging up the washing on the clothes horse (she runs around chucking things on it then taking everything I've just hung up off again! So last night she came running in with her Daddy's boxers over her head! She was poking her face out through the leg hole - was soo funny. We were creasing ourselves. She is such a wee character.

Well must go - should be trying to do my last essay but I really cannot be arsed today - it just nice to get some time to myself!

Take care all.
xxxx

samsmam · 09/04/2008 16:13

Rumpel- Samantha likes to help mummy too, usually taking off the wet washing and trying to wear it, very helpful.

Health visitor just been she said I need to start being firmer with Samantha. She is getting very naughty. I am a realy passive person so its going to be difficult. Anyone having problems with tantrums.

Sophie is ok- she as a cold, probably caught off Samantha who has had one for what feels like eternity. She has been switched to bottle feeding from yesterday as it just wasn't working with Samantha.

Yesterday Sam fell over with a toy trumpet in her mouth and split both sides of her mouth. Blood everywhere but, she is fine and it hardly bothered her after the shock.

Hope you are having a good time with your boys, and that DS3 has recovered. Did anyone else get it?

Wow- I am chatty today!!

babyducky · 09/04/2008 20:59

evening all,

hope he's better now gingeme

rumpel- yeah he was crap, i said that i heard steroid creams can thin the skin & he said 'rubbish!'

He said as its only a mild one it wont harm his skin at all!
So i said even though i need to use it every few weeks(i dont use it that much but thats how often it gets bad)
He said its fine, & told me to use it for 1 week out of 3!
Dont worry i wont though! I hardly use it at all.
Ive found 2 homeopaths near me, so
gotta sort it out.

Thanks for the food advice aswell, i do keep a food diary for him, im just a bit worried to cut things out, dunno why! Id just rather do that as a last resort, rather than change his whole diet. Hopefully I wont need to do that.

Kai helps with the washing aswell, he gets everything out of the washing machine & puts it in the tumble dryer!

lol at 'daddys boxers over her head!'

samsmam- poor samantha, hope her mouth is ok, i done that when i was little, had a recorder in my mouth! ouch!

Yeah we have a lot of tantrums, big ones!
He throws himself onto the floor screaming & throwing his head back!
He smacks things when he gets cross aswell.

I think im firm with him, he just doesnt listen! He is better behaved for dp & im a lot stricter then him! Dp thinks its coz he can sense i get stressed!

he's also starting to worry me when he doesnt get his own way he screams & cries then does that silent cry & holds his breath & goes all floppy & grey, its so scary!
He has always done it occasionally but its starting to get more regular, he has passed out before only for a few seconds though.
I saw a thread on here the other day about it & people were saying to get it checked out.Im gonna take him to docs tomorrow, i mentioned it to the health visitor before, she didnt seem concerned.
Better get it checked i think.

Im rambling again, sorry! Hope everyones doing ok.

gingeme · 10/04/2008 12:47

Hi everyone.
ds3 much better today thankyou. Hes had his breakfast and a banana and is now asking for dippy egg
Think ds5 may have picked it up though as he brought up most of his feeds on Tuesday and had a runny couple of nappys too.
Took him to the docs and she said give him water little and often then slowly re introduce the milk. Hes much better today though still only drinking 4 oz water with 2 oz milk.
Got ds3's party at Clown Town tommorrow. So glad hes better for it. Was dreading cancelling it.
Yes ds4 has quite a few tantrums too and comes and smacks us when we tell him off but generaly hes pretty well behaved.
Oh and he loves taking the wet washing out of the machine for me too
Its great having my big boys here. Theyre so grown up all of a sudden. Quite scary how deep ds1's voice is now.
Well off to the park soon. I feel like a prisoner not being out of the flat for 5 days. Going stir crazy....

gingeme · 13/04/2008 21:19

Helooooooooooooo
Helooooooooooooo
Anyone there?

samsmam · 14/04/2008 07:59

I'm here!
It is madness Gingeme- how do you cope? If I knew then what I know now!!

I am suffering a bit. It is all go with two close in age.
Samantha is getting more and more daring in what she is attempting with Sophie- really do need eyes in the back of my head now. Any way enough rambling......

Samantha's mouth is all fixed now except her 3 week cold that seems endless. Can't wait for the warmer weather just to get her out in lots of fresh air.
Sophie is doing well, I stopped breastfeeding and she is now adapating well to bottle feeding.

It looks like a lovely spring day today perhaps a trip to the park today.

gingeme · 14/04/2008 16:25

Hi Sam. Glad Samantha is on the mend. Yes it is pretty mind blowing sometimes when evryone needs attention at the same time. It will get easier I promise
Lo had his second lot of jabs today so hes not a happy bunny at the moment.
Edwards had a good week with my big boys beinghere. Lots of rough and tumble. Shame theyve gone home now
Boys are all in good health again thank goodness. It was ds3's 4th birthday yesterday and we went out to eat. He ate loads and some of mine too
Feeling very tired today its all catching up on me now.
Going to see my osteopath tomm morning. My left knee is very painful. I went to my docs about it and he says it feels as if I have torn one of the ligaments. My osteopath is brill so hopefuly he can sotr it.
Rumpel how you doing?
Hope everyone else is well.

RUMPEL · 17/04/2008 13:06

Hi All,

Hope you are all well.

Been really busy in the garden and trying to write my final essay arggggg! Am demented - so tired just now and sore undercarriage.

Put Amber into her big bed 3 nights ago and she awoke at 5am the last 2 mornings but was okay this morning. She has suddenly got really clingy though - crying at nursery the last 3 Weds.

Am mega mega crabbit just now and really short tempered (another red head here GINGEME). Glad you enjoyed your boys GINGE - must be quiet and a wrench when they go. Have they got a Scottish accent yet - a we Highland lilt?

Must go Amber has awoken and I can hear her DESTROYING!!! She is pre-programmed to DESTROY!!!!!!!!!!

xxxx

gingeme · 17/04/2008 21:10

Evening ladies.
No Rumpel the boys don't have any accent. Yes it is very quiet without them here but my other three soon make up for that .
Edward has been mega clingy lately too. He climbs all over George if hes laying on my bed and Im chatting to him. Can be quite difficult splittng my attention between the three.
I havn't attempted a big bed for Edward yet. Can't imagine the damage they'd do between the two of them in their room.
George is growing fast. He does some lovely little sqeals now and can roll over from his back to front now too
Ive updated my pics on my profile page by the way. My big boys are on there now.
Hope you are all well xx

RUMPEL · 18/04/2008 16:04

Aww! GINGEME - they are so cute! How old are your eldest boys now?

Hope you are all well - SAMSMAM - how you coping?

Any TTC BFPs yet for the rest of you?

xxxxxx

gingeme · 18/04/2008 19:34

Hi Rumpel. My eldest will be 14 on the 8th May. Can't believe it. I dyed his hair black for him. He's a wannabe Goth
ds3 is poorly again. He has a terrible sore throat and had a high temp earlier today. I just don't think his immune system recovered from last week so hes picked this up quick.
Oh well break out the Calpol again.
Hope you have a good weekend.
x

samsmam · 19/04/2008 19:45

Hello
Quick post- as usual!
Lovely pics Gingeme.

I'm ok- have my up and down days, trying to get thru without starting antidepressants again.
I'm holding on to Gingeme's comment that it gets easier, it makes me feel better.

Rumpel respect for you and your studying and looking after LO and being pregnant.
Need to try the big bed thing again. Last time was so stressful I put the cotside back on. I quite like the silentnight childrens divan beds.

Samantha still has her cold three weeks later. Wish it would just go.
