Phoenix- thrush is horrible for babies. Makes them feel yeeuuch.

Flame- hope tonsilitis is clearing up

No idea about cherries, but didn't know cocktail cherries were different from glace.... they look the same....

Frizbe · 23/02/2008 22:00

Lol I've started a cherry debate

FYI I have an unopened jar of cocktail ones in the cupboard, the cake had Glace in though, but I did put real ones in the fruit flan! like your plan though CSWS, probably wouldn't cut it on masterchef though did I see right are they in Mexico next week for the final??

Flame, yay for the shopping.

MRM dh says you can work for us anytime but he refuses to move back to London! (he's lived in Islington, Forest Gate, Hackney and Stoke Newington (ARGH!) not in any order btw!

Frizbe · 23/02/2008 22:13

Happy Birthday to Emrys for tomorrow and also Happy Birthday to Isabel Erika too I prob won't get on as dd2 at party in am (Meridian has agreed to work at shop, whilst I have all our kids at the party place and then at ours) and then I'm working the afternoon whilst my other friend has the kids, yep we need staff, or a nice swedish male au pair

Frizbe · 23/02/2008 22:13

Frizbe ponders to self if Vin Diesel is still available for babysitting after that crap Disney movie

DontDreamItBeIt · 23/02/2008 22:17

Not a clue about cherries

PWP - I pay £29 for me and 2 dds, so adult is about £12 I think. Under 2 is free....how honest are you??? I won't be buying ds a icket until they actually question me about his age

Poor boy, Phoenix. (And poor you. Having sick whingy children is no fun.)

I hope things are getting better Flame.
Has your ad on mumsnet run out or have you just decided not to renew it? I looked for it today and couldn't find it.

OP posts:
SlugsNSnails · 23/02/2008 22:19

Got no money atm to renew it

DontDreamItBeIt · 23/02/2008 23:13

Tell me when you do, and I will resume my bumping of it if you want.

SlugsNSnails · 23/02/2008 23:53

You're a star! I currently have nappiesgalore or whatever she is called now linking to me every now and then on the nappy threads

DontDreamItBeIt · 23/02/2008 23:58

Am I allowed to link direct to your site (when it is relevant of course)? I was talking about soapnuts, which is what made me look it up again.

OP posts:
SlugsNSnails · 24/02/2008 00:41

yup as long as it is not self promotion and is relevant then I think it is fine

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/02/2008 07:15

Happy Birthday Emrys and Isabel .

Obviously I'm the epitomy of honesty Jas . Realised that I have about £30 of days out vouchers that need to be used this week, so will either go today, or try to find a friend to go with on Wedns. Is just an afternoon long enough, or does it really warrant a full day?

Phoenix · 24/02/2008 09:18

Happy Birthday Emrys and Isabel

mustrunmore · 24/02/2008 09:50

I've had a sample of soapnuts sitting in the cupboard for weeks that I keep forgetting to try.

PWP; go for a whole day, your get more value out o fit, you loony! Pleaaasee look for lovely good looking man called Justing for me and take a picture

Cherries.... do like raisins... half bake first, then drop in when the mix is semi solid.

Flame, I've posted your parcel.

Mouth of agony for last 2 days Not sure exacyl; thouhgt was ulcers, but on the bad side, a tooth sems to have sliced through the gum alongside it. Yuck.

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/02/2008 09:55

I've never done that with raisins .

Is it you with the sore mouth now, rather than ds1?

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/02/2008 09:57

Obv I'd get more value if I went for a full day, but I don't have a full day free before the vouchers expire! I have no problem with missing Wedns toddlers, but this is the week that I'm on the roster to set up, so have to go for at least some of it.

mustrunmore · 24/02/2008 10:04

Yep, tis me. Ds1's seems to have gone away without coming ot anything.

Well, if its use hte vouchers nor waste them, then go for the half day. In fact, pray for rain, then you'd only want to do half anyway

Phoenix · 24/02/2008 10:35

Dh has just been to farm shop to get some pork and veg for dinner and he bought some flapjack too, its bloody lovely i've just sat and ate 2 peices

What's everyone up to today? We're staying in and having dinner at home and just incase ds is still contagious although the rash is more or less gone and he's had it 5 days now.

We're getting a dining table tomorrow We've never had one as we haven't really got room for one but ds refuses to sit in his highchair anymore and sits on the sofa with his food on his knee so we've decided to get one of these which we'll get in the room and pull it out when we need it.

mustrunmore · 24/02/2008 10:54

We bought the even smaller thing like that when we were in the flat... got all excited... used it twice then moved house!

Bet its not as good as Jas's flapjack

DontDreamItBeIt · 24/02/2008 11:23

Happy birthday Isabel

Happy birthday Emrys

SlugsNSnails · 24/02/2008 18:48

Ooh my sister had a set thingy like that.

Eek for your tooth MRM

Long day, exhausted. Staggering guests worked because there is no way everyone would have fitted at once. Did well - just a few main gifts, so he has things he will actually use rather than a house of tat.

Frizbe · 24/02/2008 19:45

Happy Birthday Emrys and Isabel

Flame, glad your day was good, even though you now knackered yay for house with just the right amount of stuff in it too

MRM, well that's an idea, although I've never had the problem with raisens they stay in the middle, its just my cherries that sink???? (please help CSWS! you are after all a small godess of the kitchen are you not?)
EEEK for your mouth/tooth too dentist then?

Phoenix yum table looks nice too

Hi everyone else!

We've managed to muddle our way through the day, dd2 had a fab time at party this am, and her sister and Meridians ds enjoyed the play centre too, so that was good my other friend looked after the kids this afternoon and managed to do or not do the following:

  1. Attempted cornflake cakes, decided to put milk in the chocolate and I'm now eating a dry cornflake and small globular chocolate concoction????? sure it'll taste better as a breakfast cereal type thing So she may be a Dr, but not a cook eh!
  2. Hid in our airing cupboard during a game of hide and seek with the dd's, surprisingly they couldn't find her (Friz ponders how clean her stuff is in there now?) let alone how the hell she managed to fit! it has shelves...........luckily she remembered to tell us this, so now when one of the dd's goes missing we'll know where to look
  3. lol at this one, dd2 exploded (2nd poo of the day!) then decided not to mention it till there was all a funny smell etc, right up her back apparently (this hasn't happened in ages!) so my poor friend had to clean this all up lol.
CantSleepWontSleep · 24/02/2008 21:05

I really don't know about the cherries Friz - I cook a lot but I don't bake a lot, plus I don't like glace cherries so wouldn't use them!
Try asking in food topic.

Glad you and Emrys had a good day/good presents flame.

mustrunmore · 24/02/2008 21:08

You're lucky Falme; every time I've attempted staggering, everyone has turned up at 3pm Well done on no tat. Talking of which, I've had a big clearout and have a few tops you might want. Shall I send you a photo and you can see what you want, if anything? Rather thasn me waste the postage!
I've sorted my entire wardrobe again Its tidy. Nothing falls out. And ds1 thought it was great hiding in there (he played petshop through the bars on the front, with him being a mouse).

Friz, maybe its just me and raisins then

I'm gutted you're not closer to give me a job. It'd be perfect.

Had a very very odd dream, about Flame teaching me to poledance What does that mean then?

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/02/2008 21:31

That you're a perve who wants to get jiggy with flame .

mustrunmore · 24/02/2008 21:42

Cheeky
