Wilkie · 23/01/2008 21:15

Oooo had house valued today. Very excited. Hoping to have it on market by weekend

2happy · 23/01/2008 21:22

Bunny - hard to give advice as my family relationships are a little complicated. If it were me I would probably maintain the status quo but I have learnt not to rely on family, so I guess it's best not to listen to my advice on this subject. Hope fellow MNetters give better advice.

Phone is of interest, but Pip wrestles the remote controls from DH. Even I can't do that

laughalot · 23/01/2008 21:23

Rgee he has appointment for the results next tuesday so fingers crossed everything will be fine.

Reggiee · 23/01/2008 21:23

Reggie - oh that is a long and boring story and the rest of the thread will prob nod off but yes, we are moving in Lincoln. DH is still applying for Head Pro positions but it is gonna take longer than we thought and we are DESPERATE for more space

Reggiee · 23/01/2008 21:29

2H slow cookers are brilliant! I am a massive convert and will happily witter on about the virtues of them.

Wilkie · 23/01/2008 21:56

Ha ha ha

Would love to, mate, and see you more...

bunnyhunny · 23/01/2008 22:52

mrsc and wilkie pmsl!

well dunno about you lot, but I am still shocked we have lasted a year already. I look at s now and think - he is a little boy, not a baby. we should be celebrating a year of motherhood - that is, a year of not going out when we want, being knackered and emotional and endless fretting!

eandh · 24/01/2008 08:16

Good Morning

Wilkie that was far TMI when I was munching on my cornflakes

Bunny - cant help on the db thing I am close to mine although we have spells of not seeing/talking for a week or so I do see him alot (he lives on the opposite estate) and I see him more than ever now because his gf and her little boy are often round here. Def try the gf route

Rgee has the laptop arrived yet?

2happy or mrs c (cant remember which one) slow cookers are fab I often do dinner for the days I work in mine lovely to come home and have the waft of stew thats been cooked all day mmmmmnnnnnnnnn

Payday for me and DH tomorrow cant wait its been a long month as paid early for xmas and then food for xmas and h's parties came to alot more than I thought. I have a nice bonus coming and I will be restained and just spend a bit of it the rest is going to pay a chunk of the credit card off.

Brothers gf gave Hattie this she isnt sure about it she sits on it and bounces but doesnt like spinning, Ellie on the otherhand thinks its a bucking broncho and goes absolultey mental on it!

PCF - but think how happy he will be there. Can I ask, what is the reality of autism? (I know what it is but I mean living with it - how does it make him different?) Sorry, I am a little ignorant to the subject and would like to know more.

(((hugs))) pcf - but as Wilkie says it is perfect for Alex and he will be happy and confident there and that is the best thing for him to progress and develop, must be very tiring and exhausting and you are doing a great job(hope that reads as I meant it to)

Hattie just fallen asleep and we need to go out in 20mins to get Ellie aaargh I knew when she dropped her morning nap this would happen, I was trying to hold her out till 11.40 when we leave

((pcf)) - but like everyone else has said, the school sounds perfect for him, and all his needs will be met. He will grow in confidence and be really happy. We have autistic children at school, and though there is a wide range on the spectrum, they are usually absolutely lovely, the adults that work with them love them loads, and every behavioural / developmental leap they make is so precious. And with such a high adult:child ratio at his n ew school, it will be fab hth.

Eah - s is dropping his morning nap too - its a nightmare isnt it! I help run a toddler group, but had to leave early to put him down as he had gone waaaay past when he would normally sleep and he kept coming up to me and lying on my lap with his thumb in his mouth. Felt really bad, but hopefully things will get better.

Wilkie · 24/01/2008 12:57

PCF - it must be so hard but I suppose, as with all children, Alex will have a 'ceiling' that he can reach in terms of development which you will have to embrace and be proud of the achievements he does make. The school will be the best place for him to grow and develop and reach his full potential.

Having said that I can't possibly begin to understand how hard it must be for you and I'm surprised you have as few low days as your appear to have!

eandh · 24/01/2008 12:58

I have found the perfect cup bought it for Ellie but hattie is using it so will get another one this one

It looks like normal cup except sealed top and you just drink like a normal open topped glass and it comes out, means Ellie gets the idea of drinking rather than using sports bottle/beaker and it doesntmatter if she leaves it where Hattie gets it because you can't spill anything
