eandh · 30/01/2008 17:05

No I am only 29 this syear !!! actually I am starting to feel old now MIL seems to think I am 25 every year (think because she has known me from 17 never got used to be actually getting older!!)

OH god a year to my 30th on a positive note being 30 will mean Ellie is almost at school full time and Hattie will be at preschool 2 mornings a week so I'll be childfree part of the week (and laughing at all those 1st timers who be producing their 2ns ones he he he he he he

We went to majorca before we had kids I hated it meant to be in palma nove was actually magaluf and we stayed in the hotel was called hotel honolulu says it all really doesnt it

Wilkie · 30/01/2008 17:23

LAL - we went to Benelmadena (Hotel Sirroco) and was the shittest holiday we hae ever had The rest are lovely though - have been to most of them.

Kat - it is Propranolol. Reason for Manchester is that my sis lives in Worsley. Where would you live (2Happy too)?

Wilkie · 30/01/2008 17:24

Oh, and went to the park today. J climbed up the slide steps on his own, crawled across the top and then flung himself head first down the slide!! He giggled all the way down and then ran down to do it again.....4 goes later and he had conked himself out Was V funny!

eandh · 30/01/2008 17:50

Clever boy that J isnt he Hattie been utterly miserable and cingy all day, friend came round with her 8 week old and hattie screamed every time I had him and then flung herself on floor in a tantrumn. She is now finally let go of me and annoying dh and Ellie, DH reading sleeping beauty to Ellie and Hattie flinging her in the night garden book over the top of ellies book they'll be a fight in a moment and I am not dealing with it!

Got to leave at 7 to get to friends house and havent got time to cook for me (did dh and the girls beef casserole but I dont fancy it) so have text to see if I can get something there (thinking beans on toast) going to ask her to leaver her computer and internet connection on so I can MN whilst babysitting. Dh hoping girls go to bed and stay there as he wants to watch footie on TV (am contemplating hyping them up )

How bizarre kw3 - both lived in the Fax and now both up north! I lived just outside of Warley (note just outside Warley, rather than just over the hill from Mixenden, which would equally be true, but slightly less impressive ). What you really need, Wilkie, is Loosh who lives in Huddersfield now. We also had friends in Netherthong (right near Thongsbridge, PMSL at the names) and it was a really nice spot, but pricey. I'll ask dh, the practice he worked in covered just a mahoooooosive area so he knows it all really well.
Poor ds2, God love him, he didn't sleep well last night, hasn't slept much today, is covered in spots, is growing them on his face now too and even has one inside one of his ears! ds1 has a spot on his face, but I think it might just be a spot rather than CP; he's getting bored of me checking him for spots!
So, kw3, c'mon - what are your preconceived ideas of us?!

Ohh FGS.

Chicken bloody pox!

Lizzzombie · 30/01/2008 18:44

Thanks for recommendations LaL...will look into them.

LTH - poor J. Not fun.

Um, er ...girls I need your suggestions! DJ has just done a HUGE SHIT in the bath. The only 2 ways I can think of removing it are:
a. pulling plug and letting it all settle in the bath then cleaning it up afterwards (ugh)
b. using a sieve to sift up all the bits before pulling the plug.
(then chucking out said sieve!)
Which would you recommend?!

eandh · 30/01/2008 18:52

Who has got them in the LTH house then????????

Both girls fast asleep thanks to me reading a story and doing bed routine - so DH will have peaceful night - I am such a good wife am off to babysit bye

Reggiee · 30/01/2008 18:53

you're making me itch...

i have nowt to say lizz so i keep my trap shut .

DH just off for a run now. LO fast asleep - just bobbed my head round and she looks v cute. She's finally learned to get around on her ride on fire engine without me having to push. Back relief at last ! Work busy this week and next. Got a meeting in Oxford on Saturday, then our Xmas do on Tues (yes - really!!), then in London on Wed & Thurs.

Want to bake some blueberry buns this evening but don't have enough butter. Do you think bogstandard marge would do the trick?

ladytophamhatt · 30/01/2008 18:56

Ds3 has it...he's got loads already too.

Wilkie · 30/01/2008 18:56

pULL PLUG, LET SETTLE, THEN REMOVE WHAT YOU CAN AND RINSE REST DOWN PLUG!

Reggiee · 30/01/2008 18:56

eah I hope you are plannig to spend your night on MN.

Lizz Pip has done 'code brown' the last two baths. I just get my hand in and scoop it out. Then drain and disinfect bath + toys. First time I did it, DH was a bit squeamish. LO wasn't too impressed at being whisked out of the bath

Wilkie · 30/01/2008 18:57

Sorry for shouting !!

Wilkie · 30/01/2008 18:57

Unless it is one lump then I just use my hand. I ain't proud!!

Reggiee · 30/01/2008 18:58

LTH

So, how many of yours haven't had it yet?

Reggiee · 30/01/2008 19:00

Jeremy Beadle has just died???? He's too young surely?

ladytophamhatt · 30/01/2008 19:07

ds1 and ds2 had it when i was PG with ds3. I've had the little boy I look after here today so I expect ds4 will get it next, then he will too.

Reggiee · 30/01/2008 19:16

Oh joy!
At least you can join the 2H CP support group...

eandh · 30/01/2008 19:44

Its chicken pox fever at the mo!

Am at friends house LO asleep, am scoffing takeaway and going to bum between here and TV (computer is in study thing neasr the lounge)

To date (and fingers crossed) I have never ever had a code brown

2happy · 30/01/2008 19:48

Oh LTH, sorry to hear that. Does anyone think kids are getting it much younger these days? I was 4 or 5 when we got it - so oldest sis would have been 9ish; and dh was 7 so his oldest brother was 12 or 13 (and eh remembers all 3 getting it at once). But everyone I know's kids have had it by 4.
Jeremy Beadle? Really? Mind, he never exactly looked like a real exercise lover!

2happy · 30/01/2008 19:49
