best thing to say when you can't think of what to say

lol at C Gmm! F can get around, but not that mobile yet. Not for much longer though I think

Am feeling up and down just now. Not as bad as a week ago so that has to be a good thing, but not right either. F has check with doctor tomorrow (the 9 month one), and it is normally the nice gp that does them. She is the one I saw a couple of weeks ago, so may try to have a chat to her then. I am ok, but not my usual self IYKWIM. I am getting by.

CD, have only just been catching up and am so so sorry about the baby that was still born Makes my niggling problems pale into virtual insignificance.

Leaky, yay for the house! So pleased you have found somewhere that feels right

Cant remember any more now, sorry. Oh yes I can, Eddas, I have joined fat club (aka weight watchers - I have many many stones to lose) if you want to be my diet buddy! Also planning to embark on a fitness regime Very willing, just struggle to actually put plan into action!!

Octothechildherder · 14/01/2008 14:45

I'm back! The interview went quite well - but came away with the feeling they think I do definitely have OCD Said would find out by wednesday ..... lalalalalala - job actually looked really good - but would probably have to get a nanny/childminder that can do the school run as would have to be at work for 9am most of the time. Its only 2 days and Ernie would need cover 8-6pm anyway .... hmmmm - must set wheels in motion of finding someone asap - am going to start a thread about it.

WCL - my dh said the same

StealthPolarBear · 14/01/2008 15:05

glad it went well, keeping my fingers crossed

CaptainDippy · 14/01/2008 15:34

Pesha - My DD1 turns 4 next month (25th, 4 days after POTC B'day), bless her - So, yes, school in Sept - hurrah! ()

Hello Luce and MJ - haven't seen you 2 for a little while! Hi everyone else too!

geordiemacminx · 14/01/2008 15:34

God I am soooooooooooo bored today. Had to take dp to work this morning so went straight to asda after - was home by 10 consequently the day has dragged like you wouldnt believe - it feels like it should be 5.30....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

CaptainDippy · 14/01/2008 15:35

Awwww, cute cute cute - DD1 has set up a little game that she got for Christmas up and is "teaching" the younger 2 how to play - Bless!

mammyjo · 14/01/2008 15:48

I have been around CD, just lurking for a few days!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 14/01/2008 17:28

Dippy did you do your LEA form online? Or did you do it in hard copy and the school application at the same time?

I've done the LEA one online, which is the important one, but am wondering if I should do the schools one too. I know LEA will tell them if I get a place, but not sure if I should send it anyway!
and that made no sense

hi all...had a lovely family weekend!

cd sorry about the baby

is everyone all ok ? ( don't think i am going to get time to read all of the posts!)

CaptainDippy · 14/01/2008 19:06

POTC - I've just done the online one, apparentely we'll be sent a paper school choice thingy in the post. Supposed to be here by 12th Jan!

CaptainDippy · 14/01/2008 19:14

Hi Caz - glad you had a lovely time Well I am ok - anyone else??

oooggs · 14/01/2008 19:24

ours had to be in by 7th December and we find out sometime in March

elkiedee · 14/01/2008 19:44

Welcome back Caz from your weekend. I'm ok, tired as ever. Didn't make it beyond Jolly Babies today - some new people there, and some who've not been for a while.

Thanks for advice re HR queries, I've got a phone number and the name of a human being (something of a challenge) to pursue from my wonderful union rep - at least he's hanging on in there.

Anyone else planning to watch the Baby Borrowers tonight? dp and I watched last year's seriese wondering what we were letting ourselves in for. I was surprised that anyone "lent" out their babies even then, I couldn't do it! I'll have to look out for MN debate about the programme too of course.

Sexonlegs · 14/01/2008 20:26

Hiya!!!!!

Loads of posts - I can't keep up!

NL, absolutly pmsl at "saw 3 red squirrels and ate a lot......"
Glad you had a lovely time.

Caz, glad you had a lovely weekend.

MJ, glad you are feeling a bit brighter. Good luck with WW.

Luce, lol at flapping arms like a pigeon! K is much the same tbh. She is desperate to crawl, but just nose dives in to the carpet!

Eddas, how is the diet???? Good on ya girl. I also meant to say the other day, that you should have got the whole amount of vouchers - sex discrimination!!!!

Hi GMM, POTC, Maveta, Elkie and everyone I have missed.

All ok here although I have a sod of a cold. Also feeling peed off with work - just really bored. Hey ho. Sorry for the whinge. x

Pesha · 14/01/2008 20:47

Sorry you're fed up with work SOL

D upstairs crying again although very stop start. DP has been up a few times and just administered calpol I think. he has a tooth coming so think thats part of it. Also had a little doze with his bed time feed earlier but woke up as I was gonna put him down and started smiling at me. Fed him on the other side, he still seemed quite awake but I put him down anyway. A week ago he would have gone straight to sleep but now seems to want to stay awake. Think he power naps like N used to He will go to sleep!!

Got my car back - yay Cost a small fortune - boo But less than we were worried it might at one point so not too bad. Labour was only £55 + vat which for full MOT, whole new exhaust, 2 tyres, 2 brake pads and a few other bits seems pretty good. I always worry that as a woman and a not very clued up one when it comes to cars and most things they might try and rip me off so asked my sis to recommend somewhere and they seem good.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 14/01/2008 22:39

been at Parish Council meeting - very boring

elkie - we were going to be part of baby borrowers, I think you have to really understand everything behind the scenes to get the full picture

OP posts:
NorthernLurker · 14/01/2008 22:46

SOL - just to be clear - I did not eat any squirrels - or any other wildlife for that matter

Am flushed with triumph as I made a truly exemplary Yorkshire Pudding this evening. It was fab - I expect you are all dazzled by my brilliance and just want to slink away to your pudding-less homes - but no, I am gracious - come out in the light and I will tell you how to work such marvels for yourself!

Pesha · 14/01/2008 22:54

Where is everyone tonight

Was supposed to be having a bath but just spent nearly 2 hours on the phone to my sister!! Trying to decided if its too late now Dont want to have to get up early though and try and fit in bath as well as feeding D and sorting out M and N for school.

NorthernLurker · 14/01/2008 23:00

Never too late for a bath!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 14/01/2008 23:13

It is in this house, baths are banned because the narcolepsy makes it likely I'd fall asleep
If I want a bath rather than a shower I have about a 30 min window of opportunity in the middle of the morning when I'm awake enough

OP posts:
Pesha · 14/01/2008 23:14

Still here though!

My dog stinks, keep hearing a little puff followed 10 seconds later by the most fowl stench! Sorry for tmi but urgh!

NorthernLurker · 14/01/2008 23:15

Ok - never too late for a bath or shower then

Does nobody want to hear about Yorkshire Pudding - I'm shocked and puzzled by your silence

PillockOfTheCommunity · 14/01/2008 23:17

NL - is it more exciting than the news of the Parish?

OP posts:
Pesha · 14/01/2008 23:17

See I would have showers more often but we only have a thing stuck on the bath taps and no shower curtain so its a pita, baths much easier.

Had a bath the other morning at the weekend after a particularly bad night and nodded off for a second 3 times. Kept jerking awake thinking shit i should sit up, oh I'll just lie here a minute longer...

Told dp about it and then moaned to him later in the day that I was tired and he said (seriously) why you slept in the bath this morning

Pesha · 14/01/2008 23:18

That should be - 'why, you slept in the bath this morning?'
