Sorry, not a great title but I really am totally brain dead these days

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Well we just had our New Year dinner - crisps and nibbly things with DH's ultra strong mulled wine, followed by roast salmon with dauphinoise potatos, mashed celeriac and pureed sweet potato & carrots (ie we had DD's left over vegetables in return she gets our left over potatos and salmon tomorrow ). We are now completely stuffed, so I'm glad I said I couldn't be arsed to make a posh pudding. I'm sure we'll break open some mince pies or chocolates in a while though and/or the cheese & biscuits.

I don't expect to make it to midnight. I rarely make it to 10pm even. DH says he'll sit up sad and lonely - also saying why do anything different to normal just because it is NYE.

NewYearNewBumperlicious · 31/12/2007 20:59

Love the name derlor! Hmm, time for a new life affirming name for me I think...

derlorisMonica · 31/12/2007 20:59

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Jammy - can i pop over??????
MHC - nope, nothing professional about it just a thought that was running through my head
Perhaps i need to get back to work to regain some sanity while i still have the chance

derlorisMonica · 31/12/2007 21:03

oh you're so glam - i have a vision in my head

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 31/12/2007 21:06

Oooh yeah?

milkyJammy · 31/12/2007 21:06

Very nice Bumper. I am feeling a bit overheated after dinner but think the name suits you better

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 31/12/2007 21:08

That was supposed to be

milkyJammy · 31/12/2007 21:09

BTW has anyone else seen the Easter Eggs on sale in Woolies? DH says they were on display a couple of days before Xmas even

milkyJammy · 31/12/2007 21:09

and I mean proper eggs, not just creme eggs

justbeme · 31/12/2007 21:11

Well Jammys meal sounded lovely - as was my Waitrose Indian!!
Just back from a neighbours - we stayed for 50mins - (they had guests and dinner nearly ready) - but L screamed the place down as very tired!! (and it was the 1st time we've been invited in!!) - but managed to neck 2 glasses of Rose!!
She fell asleep within 5 mins on the boob at home - so the night is my oyster!!
mmmmmm - choccies sound good and so do doritos!! (have both in the pantry!)

So Im going to bid you all farewell and
AHappyNewYear* and I'll speak to you all again in 2008!!

derlorisMonica · 31/12/2007 21:11

FFS they'll have the fireworks out soon!!!

derlorisMonica · 31/12/2007 21:13

that was a response to the easter eggs - NOT you leaving with your screaming baby!! LOL

milkyJammy · 31/12/2007 21:14

Well some one near us is having a shed load of fireworks and they are VERY LOUD, louder than the official display on Bonfire Night was. DD is making some whimpering noises, if it goes on much longer I fear it'll become full blown crying. ARSE!!!!

milkyJammy · 31/12/2007 21:15

coincidentally timed posts there.

She's crying now, but the fireworks have stopped so we are waiting a minute to see if she will self-settle

oh dear it's all got a bit confusing what with the fireworks and easter eggs
maybe i should just go and carve out a pumpkin......

milkyJammy · 31/12/2007 21:25

Well i had to go up, she was VERY shocked (but then again we're finding it confusing and we're grown ups ), but 5 mins of soothing and she was settled down again.

Yes, I love celeriac. I like using grated raw celeriac in home-made coleslaw.

milkyJammy · 31/12/2007 21:32

OK, Well time for some pudding and then bed. So enjoy the rest of the year and see you in 2008

derlorisMonica · 31/12/2007 21:38

oh Jammy - you rebel!! Sleep well x

LittleMissNorty · 31/12/2007 21:46

Just a quickie to wish you all a happy new year....Don't think I'm gonna see it in either...

Daisy...if you have a chance to lurk...thinking of you.....

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 31/12/2007 21:58

I'm still lurking a bit but in case DH gets pissed off with me on the computer

Happy New Year My Lovelies

Hope it's a fricking good one

thisisRialifebaby · 31/12/2007 22:03

can you suggest she learns the guitar MHC? for classical you need long nails on one hand I believe.

no doritos at the co-op. so having to slum it with pringles. sadly won't be starting my diet til next Monday as have stuff to clear out of the freezer first, plus DH has made a massive stew...so I'm sure we'll find a packet before then!

We might well see in the new year, in our pjs with wine and crisps, and ds3 if not ds2 also no doubt. Had a lovely hot bath in grown-up radox (has anyone seen the Lee Evans stand-up about getting in a bath after your wife? tee hee.)

I need a recommendation for an inexpensive facial moisturiser that won't make me sweat and doesn't smell like yogurt - any suggestions?
