Nice here eh? Seven is a lovely magic number.

DD has horrible cough off DH. They are both hacking away like nanny goats so our house is rather noisy and I s'pose I'll have to get it too, sooner or later. A real workout for the immune system at 6 months anyway.

Think maybe my purees were a little bit lumpy for DD. She really went for the bought stuff I gave her today, and I was quite reassured. Anyone actually tried the Hipp apple and blueberry? So tasty I could have it on toast , no probs.

Georgina hope your hands, feet and mouths are OK.

Twiglett you are a rascal... sleeping through eh? what on earth is she thinking of?

Think I would rather miss my little overnight fixes of DD if she didn't remind me of her presence every 3 hours or so.

Think 4 ish wakes are so common. was speaking to a toddler group mum who has 4 kids and she was asking about dd's sleep. 'she just wakes once now' I said. ...'at 4?' the other mum finished my sentence for me. And your two, Bozza and Egypt. It must be a size of stomach thing!

Tell me about surprise moves! DS has just projectile vomited his last dose of medication and the feed he couldn't get enough of - have just phoned the NHS directline to check when to give the next dose (am peeved because it wasn't a great battle of wills this time round, must be why it came back up again - his form of revenge). He managed to splat himself, me, the carpet, the baby walker and the new sofa all at once - nice. At least the sofa is now an official, bona fide part of the house.

Plus there is nothing worse than being off sick and having to look after a little one who feels the same way, we have been a right barrel of laughs between us xxx

awww libb, hope you feel better soon, both of you.

am in decorating mode again. that old chestnut - the bathroom - that was fitted about 9 months ago is being finished . dd has been an absolute star all day. she slept loads this morning. i didnt see what time she went down but it must have been before 11 and she didnt wake until just after ONE! spent 2 hours awake, stuffed her face, played with toys and have just taken her for a walk and she's asleep again. love her xxxxx

right, off too seal floor tiles. again. did this about 4 times when pregnant actually. (if you remember dd was breach, then back to back). they dont look like i ever did them in the first place.

I do remember Egypt you seemed to spend a lot of times on all fours.

Libb sorry that DS is poorly. DD did that sort of thing on Friday but fortunately we were on the hall which has laminate floor.

Spots I can cope with 4 am if she continues to skip the 12 am one. That was harder to handle because I would still be so tired. Actually she's now better than DS who supposedly didn't feed at night but thought morning was sometime between 5 and 6 am.

Hi everyone

Libb- oh dear poor you and ds i do hope you both feel better soon. If you do want some company (or to infect somone else just because you can ) Or need anything send me a text or give me a tinkle and i'll pop over. Dp said he would see what games he can dig up, and i'll let you know when they are waiting at reception!

Wow Egypt- Decoration sounds impressive! I have only ever decorated the nursery and that was with dp and dps parents and sister! Yep, i fear i shall be the only one nursing a pint of kronenburg and a bowl of fries Ahhh well, could we do it again? Perhaps a Monday or Tuesday daytime next time?

Happy Birthday Judd!

Susi- I'm sure ds's eating will improve again soon, try not to worry.

Bozz- Aw poor you. I know how awful you feel when something like that happens. We went for sunday lunch when Kiera was about 3.5 months old and were sitting outside. She was sitting on my lap quite happily facing me, when suddenly she back flipped!! She whacked her head soooooo hard on the wooden bench and screamed unbelievably loudly. The whole pub turned to stare and i felt AWFUL. Fortunatly she was absolutly fine and 30 seconds later was back on my lap again happily nibbling her fingers. (If she grows up with a bench phobia at least i'll know why ) That incident though, like yours, was something like susi said, totaly unexpected and unavoidable!

Hurrah success again! I stuck to the sweetcorn theme and today did potato, sweetcorn and carrot which Kiera loved

Take care everyone
xxxx

Cat, you are sweet but I couldn't infect anyone with this for the world.

I was only kidding about the games (although it is an ace thought to know we could be "professional testers" for your DP). I already have several games waiting to be finished as I spent my mat. leave doing an "Egypt" and not relaxing before DS came along. Hey Egypt? no rest for the wicked . . .

no rest no. pheeeeeeew. have finished and shall grace you with a little piccie as I am a proud mummy of a nice new warm bathroom. not very baby friendly i know, well except the yellow duck - but dh will just have to get used to that!

where's kbaby?
yes libb, def some other time.
remember when my sister was childminding and the little baby/toddler was sitting in his highchair with feet able to reach the bench in the kitchen. pushed himself back from that height and whacked his head on a solid STONE floor!!!! had an almighty lump but was fine! tougher than you think these kiddies.....anyway, piccie (sorry about my 1 megapixel duff camera)

Thirty five! (or forty five, as DD told the Tumbletots leader). Have had a letter from the docs saying I am now high risk for strokes, heart disease and the like.....so cheers everybody!
DS is sleeping OK, although sometimes wakes at 5am for no reason that I can fathom...although I am now pointing an accusing finger at you 4am-ers making a racket and disturbing him! However DD has taken to waking at 1am and "losing" her pillow. Instead of looking for it silently, she just lies there lamenting "pillow, pillow, pillow" until I go in, locate it, and replace her head upon it. Do you think I could get a glow in the dark cover for it? That should solve the problem.

Kicking my heels waiting for the babysitter to arrive so I can go scrapbooking. Wonder if I should have a Birthday Dime Bar while I'm waiting???

EEEEh Egypt I love that you posted a picture of your bathroom! It's Gorgeous!

I have carrot and lentils all over my nipples. Have I been playing saucy wholefood games with DH? No, I have been feeding my daughter. I have to alternate between breast and spoon in order to get any reasonable amount into her. Crispy bra cups by the end of the day too. hey, hope some decent pervs are reading this...

Libb you DO sound unwell, pore you.{{hugs}}. What a shame about the doomed meet-up. Nobody seems to have a nice reason for not going!

DP is out painting the cross on our door - he is healthy as a healthy thing the git.

DS has had his third dose of the day this evening and seemed to enjoy it?! do you think babies are trained for putting us through this kind of bootcamp training? is it an endurance test? he has just has a bottle and is now out for the count - I am betting he will wake up for the second round though . . . (can you believe he slept until nearly 8 this morning? I had to wake him . . . he must be a poorly bear indeed)

Me bosooms hurt now because I didn't want to feed him knowing that I had had a medicinal(sp) wine last night (to clear the nose don't you know) whilst he is on antibiotics. Such a small perk but am very sore! serves me right for being a lush . . .

DH would suggest that scrapbooking is a load of shiney shite..but he has no soul. It is one of your photos on a page that you then decorate and embelish with paper, fabric, text etc. Its a bit like cardmaking, I reckon, although I've only been twice. The theme tonight was "Dream", so I had a picture of DD as a newborn asleep on DH's chest.
Children have been very good for the babysitter, who has also been very restrained in the biscuit area, I notice. Must try harder to curb my urges in future (but everybody has such nice biscuits these days).
Our bathroom is nasty these days. DS has weed all over it and we have carpet, which Ann Maurice says is very unhygienic..... Why has my asterisked bit not enboldened itself eh????

how annoying is that!!!!
we've sent off for lo's passport and yday we got a reply back that due to new laws ds won't get a british passport because I, the mother, am not british!! (although dp is british; and ds born in UK)
it took them 3 weeks to figure that out and dp will call re "making him british" or if not then i will have to contact the austrian embassy to get him an austrian passport!
don't get me wrong, we are not fussed which one he gets; just one and rather quickly!!!
we've booked the flights already to go to austria over xmas (they are sold out so quickly) and well according to embassy webpage it can take up to 4 weeks
i was really upset yday; why does everything have to be so complicated

i sort of understand their point but couldn't they have told us straight away??? and i might even end up going into london grrr

rant over

oh susi that is annoying. do you have to fill forms out again? i dont know if it'll help or even apply to your situation, but the post office do a check and send service that you pay £6 for and they guarantee the passport back in 2 weeks. hope you get it soon.

not a bad night, dd woke at 9.30 ....eh?! very snuffly. medised. woke at 2.30, fed, woke at 7.

dh finally commented on how nice the bathroom was after he'd been awake 1/2 and hour this morning. MEN. and yes i did have to hint. well.....tell him to comment actually. he does like it a lot though. so that's good. and didnt notice the shiney bit. not even the polished floor for that matter.

why did your asterixes not embolden judd?!
very unhygenic

ooo strange

Love the bathroom Egypt - we're carpeted like Judd and the main one (which is tiny btw) is covered in wee stains from both kids. The en-suite has a track worn in the carpet from the door to the toilet.

Susi how annoying. Think your DS should definitely be entitled to British citizenship/passport. Do you think its because you're not married?

Well guys despite being full of cold/coughing DD went through from 7.30pm to 5.30 am. BUT the problem was DH. He's caught DD's tummy bug and was up and down all night really disturbing me and managed to fuse the lights at 1 am. Then at 5 DS woke up crying because his night light (that plugs into socket so should have been OK) had broken. I was still asleep but DH went to him and shouted at him (from across the room to be fair) and woke me and DD up. DD pooed so I had to root around for all the changing things in the dark and drag them into our bedroom to change her using the reading light. Fed her and she went back down until 7.30 am. Got up and went out to the garage with the torch in my pjs and slippers in the rain to get the ladder and flip the fuse. Went to get DS at 7 am and he'd wet the bed. So stripped his bed and got them both ready for nursery and took them. It should have been DH's day because I'm supposed to be having my appraisal at 9 but my manager is busy with something at the moment.

So now he's got the house to himself to be ill in peace. Grrr. Men. You really know when they are poorly don't you?

oh Bozza poor you. you should print that post and selotape it to dh's forhead for when he wakes. typical that dd should sleep so well too.

having real probs with our internet service at the mo. cat you are on ntl aren't you ? cant get online much, think they are oversubscribed. keep phoning their tech line at 75p a bloody minute and they give me lots of substitute numbers to dialup but none seem to be any better. think shall change providers. anyone got any good ones? thing is, with ntl we pay £15 a month and get free internet access 24 /7 and £15 worth of phonecalls a month. we have to have a BT line, which we do, and that costs us £10 pm for the rental. so we only pay £25 a month for the lot. can anyone better that?

Really shouldn't be here, as DD is playing squirting water from an empty squeezy bottle into the washing up bowl and should most definitely be a supervised activity. Boo - too late ...."new tights, mummy, all wet !"
Still love it every time she speaks though - very very late. No words at all until 2years 8mths!!
