Hello all, V quick message as mad dash tidying house, preparing food (Actually yet to start that and people arriving in 3 hours...). It's Jordi's first birthday!!!!!! Cannot believe my little 4lb2oz mite is a 24ish lb one-year-old. Just like to take the opportunity to say thanks again for all your support in the hellish early days (and since), I honestly might have cracked without you lot.

I had 5 little ones (it was enough, trust me) over last Sat for DD1 2nd birthday, it was chaotic but loads of fun!

wow,i remember logging on and saying 'oh my god!one of the ante-natal thread ladies has had her baby already!' to a bemused dh.it only seems like 5 minutes ago.

Elsie will be 10 months tomorrow

she wont drink her bottles,atall.she wont drink any milk whatsoever today,even cows' milk from a juice cup.i hope shes ok and is going to have 6 new fecking teeth tomorrow.

i have brushed her teeth every morning+evening since they appeared.she loves it.

kitty-why do you have 5 sets of tetth to brush?i'm sure at least 2 of your dc are old enough to brush their own(and ilke i say to mine,its their problem if all their teeth fall out cos they cant be bothered to brush them).

bethoo-remember that your xp is just saying those things to try and win you back.if you were to give in to him he would behave for about a month then go back to being a tosser.
dont get me wrong,i believe that people who really want to change their ways can do it,but only if they are doing it for themselves.if he wins you round this time he will believe he can do it again and again.
and stop feeling guilty.i felt like a total bitch after splitting with xp.he begged and pleaded and i felt so guilty.everyone felt sorry for him and i was made out to be a total cow for dumping him.bearing in mind that he had twice been convicted of ABH on me(and they were the 2 times the police wouldnt allow me to drop the charges).dont let him get to you,stay strong!

Well I went back to work today Was really worked up about it so that last night I woke every hour or so (and of course DD slept almost through) and when I did sleep I had nightmares.

It was fine. Better still DD was fine, apart from managing to get the lid off her cup and coating herself in pear juice... Does make me wonder why no-one was watching her, but then yesterday I noticed she had a little bottle of tea tree body lotion and thought nothing of it until a few minutes later saw she had a lid in one hand and the bottle to her mouth

Diva, I sometimes brush the bigger ones' teeth, especially if the dentist has a go

Well dd3 did really well at toddler group today, no nasty behaviour "no bite" she said as we went in (bless).
She kept it together until the last 1/2 hour when she bit a little girl really hard on the hand .

If she doesn't want something she says "no like", at least the speech is coming.

Evenhope - I was like that on sunday. Elliot slept really well and I think I got about 3 hours, worrying and tossing and turning. Annoying isn't it? Glad your first day was okay and hope you have a better night tonight.

Glad some of you are being as rubbish as me at teeth brushing. I will start tomorrow!

Have day off tom - this is hopefully going to be my new timetable - work 2 days then day at home then another 2 days. I think this is a much better plan than 4 days in a row

Thanks for all birthday messages . Well the party went well, Jordi despite having had not a good day prior to it was mostly fine during it, got lots of pressies, the other babies were great (it was the four older ones 7,6,5,4, who were the problem ), and I now feel like a parent - I've done a party and survived. Off to continue drinking now all quiet on western front!

Callie- glad party went well, i do nto know if i will even do the first birthday thing as only know one other baby here who i 3 days older than Hayden. at least me nade his mum can celebrate!!!!
Piffle- is this your first period since having lo? it took me 4 cycles to regulate as the first periods were between 40 and 45 days.
was it Sazzy who said she liked CSI? my fave is Vegas. watched new episode tonight. very good, i love it!
xp came over as he took me food shopping. he was being all mopey and saying he was going to change for me but i said he had to do it for himself, to stop being dependent on his mother for one. until he gets his head sorted and his future sorted, he wanted to stay the night and i was tempted as he is a good lover but i did not want to lead him on. would not mind no strings attached sex but he would presume we were back together!!

just wanted to let you all know that emily has been ill, she was in hospital over the weekend with suspected pneumonia altho they decided it was bronchiolitis in the end. anyhow, she's fine now, but it was a bit . mind you, she coping beautifully with it all and the hosp were fab

Diva/Kitty I let DS1 clean his teeth but nag him all the while, calling out - "have you *brushed for 2 minutes?", or "if you don't brush them properly, you will end up with sore teeth like G and the dentist will have to pull them out" (a friend's son who has had 2 extractions and loads of filling by age 6)

Evenhope - glad first day went OK - don't worry it'll be fine once you get back into the swing of things

Sazzy - 2 days on, 1 day at home, 2 days on sounds great - you never get more than two days in office in a row.

I am interviewing for lodgers atm. I have:

• Chinese proff/studying couple (I said I didn't want a couple)
• 2 women who work long hours and can bring an extra bed, but speak no English
• A lone parent with a 7 yr old DS, who I didn't bond with
• A male lecturer (said I wanted females)
• A female student (said I wanted professionals only)

Strangely, all the female professionals have been either realy unreliable (not turning up for viewings) or they have turned up but been very demanding (asking for all sorts of extras/rent reductions/want to change all the furniture)
