Don't know why that posted twice sorry!

PurplePansy05 · 04/11/2021 10:09

Thank you @lucyrp, I will check this out! I think it's making it worse that Christmas is coming up, it feels like end of 2021 already and then it seems not that long before returning to work when we hit 2022. But in reality it's nearly another 2 months till Christmas/NY yet, I keep reminding myself often!

We're at 977 posts, who would like to do the new thread honours & link us up this time? 😊Flowers xx

@lucyrp Freddie is 12 weeks but he goes 12/13 hours at night without a feed. I was waking him every night at half 11 for an extra one but just stopped doing it 2 weeks ago and haven’t had to feed him during the night since

Totally feeling the same slight panic of ‘he’s not a tiny baby anymore’ 🥺 Luckily I do plan to have another (there’s no guarantee I will though) but I can’t imagine how it must feel when it’s your last or only one 😢 I was never a baby person before and wasn’t really into holding other people’s tiny babies etc so I didn’t really expect to feel this way. In saying that I do love the stage he’s at now. He’s smiling, laughing, sleeping all night and is generally not too much bother during the day. I love that he’s starting to do new things and can’t wait for him to fully hold his head, sit up etc. I just don’t want him to get bigger than that for a while 😂 I find it sooo handy that he can’t move by himself too. I really think my life will be way harder when I can’t just lie him on the changing mat on the worktop out the road of the dog. He’s not 100% trustable (still does puppy play biting) so I don’t think I’d ever have Freddie on the floor at one side of the room if I was at the other and the dog was there. Luckily in our new house we’ll have a seperate room for the dog and a baby gate to seperate them. Hopefully he’ll just get used to Freddie as he grows up

Technically you can never know for sure if it's your last or only one, apart from very limited circumstances, I suppose. One can only hope that whatever they wish for comes true and I hope it does for us all. xx

@lucyrp three nights ago Katie started going 9pm-7am without waking. She also now goes down to sleep without having to be sound asleep. I'm not really sure what to do with myself as my first was such a little Velcro baby that had to sleep in bed with me and woke for a bottle through the night for a very long time. Katie just seems so wee to be doing this. I'm not complaining but worried I'm not showing her enough love (batshit crazy I know) but feel tiny toots need to be snuggled to sleep 😂 after her bath she has her bottle, gets burped, swaddled up and put to her crib when she is all cosy and sleepy. She then sleeps until around 7am. If she's not in bed by 9pm she gets so fussy and unhappy 🙈 how was your DS at sleeping?

lucyrp · 04/11/2021 14:20

@PurplePansy05 yeah 100%. Yeah I keep reminding myself that too! I would set up the thread but sure I'll mess it up 😂xx

@sarah13xx I didn't realise she might sleep through so soon, it might have been a one off or it may continue well soon see! I do enjoy waking in the night with her though and don't get overly tired as she usually goes 3-4 hours at night which is fine by me. Its nice waking and knowing it's just me and her awake and having that special time together

@Gem176 Evelyn is the same re going down without being asleep, although not every time. I was talking to a friend this morning about that and I honestly can't remember how he slept as it was so long ago nearly 7 years 🥺 but I'm sure he was really good as if he was terrible I would surely remmeber that 😂

sarah13xx · 04/11/2021 14:26

@lucyrp yeah the night feeds or late feed didn’t bother me since I was getting enough sleep before/after. He just seems to have decided he doesn’t need milk during the night anymore. He does seem to take more during the day than what other babies I know do but I’d guess he must just be stocking up🙈
