blardy children and farking husbands

DS got sent to bed at 6:00 tonight with no dinner. Every meal I cook for him, he disects it and if there are any lumpy bits, fatty bits, mushrooms, aything he doesn't instantly recognise or have to chew, then he rejects it. I made spag bol tonight and dhopped the mushrooms so fine you needed a microscope to see them. First thing he said "what is this little black bit?"

"herbs, eat it"

"but they dpon't taste nice"

"you haven't even tasted it yet, fgs, eat it"

I sort of lost it at that point . So he was sent to bed howling, I'm hungry, you've got to feed me it's the law......FFS

DD, fed for ages, and snoozed all the while she fed. Then decided she was wide awake and spent an hour patting me on the arms and chest and trying to get my glasses (I knew this short hair cut was a mistake, she left them alone in favour of my hair before!) and shouting nd singing to keep herself awake, she was finally nodding off, when blardy DH called to say he was in the car and would be home half nine/ten. Cue DD waking up again another half hour to settle her.

Phew....and I'm off wine, so I'll just whine instead.....GRRRRRRR

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 30/11/2007 20:23

I'm off too, Ugly Betty on shortly.

By the way am of skinny jeans, but I won't be able to have any anytime soon as I'm about to have a big bowl of Hargen Dazs!

Trace, hope the police are out of your hair soon, must be horrible having them outside your house.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 30/11/2007 20:25

Just popping back to say POOR DAISY.

DaisyNightingale · 30/11/2007 20:29

Holly....I haven't had my secret santa e-mail. I've checked both my accounts and nada.

There is a problem with hotmail and yahoo; they don't like each other. so if you sent it to daisybump etc it might never get to me. Could your lovely DP (sorry Mr Holly ) resend it to my ntlworld account? It's "first name.last name @ ntlworld.com. Ta muchly.

Foxy, I saw your message to summerfruit . I'd hardly call 16lbs lightweight. DD weighs that and she is literally just below the 50th centile. Poor summerfruit seems to have had her HV on her case since day 1; I saw some of her earlier threads.

Trace, your earlier excitement hasn't made the BBC news yet. There was nothing on about it on the six o'clock news.

DaisyNightingale · 30/11/2007 20:30

cheers Jammy....you have all this to look forward to

justbeme · 30/11/2007 20:48

Oh Daisy, Im sorry, but the way you told your "story", made me laugh out loud!!! - So I take it BLW is the way forward with DD - so she starts on lumps!

Guess what I've just been allowed to buy???? (on DPs card!) - Nappies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ive jusy bought 10 BumGenius ones for £70!!
Theyre birth to potty and all in ones - so no wraps! - Yehhhh!
(but I felt abit guilty 'cos of DD1 - but then L needs nappies and its DPs money!)

andiemisletoe · 30/11/2007 21:00

hi ladies

daisy my ds has an aversion to mushrooms too also in spag bol

jbm are you becoming a nappy addict too
I could do putney on the 10th
night all early night for me as still feeding about 4 times in the night zzzzzz

foxythesnowman · 30/11/2007 21:02

JBM, I deleted a comment as I didn't want to offend and was worried it was a bit below the belt. It was something about XP contributing to the nappies...

Sorry Daisy, I too laughed - but in a sympathetic way you understand. You are FAR nicer than me. I'd have put it in the fridge until the next meal. I have, infact done that in the past

My boiler has broken down, have been out 3 times in the torrential rain in anorak and pjs trying to fix the farking thing. DP away. Oh, he's just called me - from a pub.

And DS2 was vile to me for not having money for the charity cake stall at pick up. I am still fuming and seething.

What a pile of shite Gin Wine [vodka] [cooking sherry]

Sputnik · 30/11/2007 21:07

Trace that is really scary. Glad you have dH with you now.

JBM, think of allthe money you'll save with those nappies

DaisyNightingale · 30/11/2007 21:07

oh, foxy, you're giving me ideas....it's still on the worktop....how's about he has it for brekkie, with a healthy dose of food poisoning thrown in!

the bits of mushroom were teeny tiny little things.

It's only recently that he has become a fussy eater; in fact since he started at school and had sappy, pappy school dinners in reception year. Now he won't eat anything that doesn't appear to have been pre-chewed

I found a box of beligian chocolate seashells left over from our holiday. I had forgotten about them. Not quite red wine, but hey ho.......

justbeme · 30/11/2007 21:07

Lol Foxy - I can prob work it out!

What a PITA about your boiler! Why is it outside?? Have you got the 3* gas contract?

and for you re DS - it only gets worse as you've read from me!!!
(but we do love babies dont we?!)

DaisyNightingale · 30/11/2007 21:07

oh, jbm....I'm sure it's bumgenius that fury uses and raves about!

justbeme · 30/11/2007 21:10

Yes it is Daisy - because they're bringing in a new updated one - the current version was on BOGOF! and because my order was over £65 - free postage here
(see Im getting clever!)

DaisyNightingale · 30/11/2007 21:11
foxythesnowman · 30/11/2007 21:15

They'll just have to do Daisy!

Honestly, if I paid attention to my lot everytime they whined "I don't like that" they'd only ever eat plain pasta.

What is it with mushrooms? DS1 doesn't do mushrooms either. I tell him to pick them out and give them to his brother, who in true contrary fashion, loves them.

catkinisamummynow · 30/11/2007 21:20

Hello lovely ladies! As i have very cheekily gatecrashed secret santa without having been on here for forever, I thought i'd better show my face! (well, not my face but you know what I mean!)
DS fast asleep in bed and DP glued to celebrity so I thought I'd take the opportunity to pop in and chat!

foxythesnowman · 30/11/2007 21:21

Steady JBM, you'll be giving Tech a run for his money

I am very proud to say I finally figured out how to transfer music onto DPs MP3 player.

We've got boiler cover, but they've practically rebuilt it and finally (6 months ago) told us we really had to get a new one. (And we really do). But we are hanging on in there until it doesn't work at all. Don't know why its outside, in a sort of shed on the side of the house.

Shame there's water leaking in the conservatory too. Right onto the electric socket.

AAAAAAAAAARRRSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEE.

foxythesnowman · 30/11/2007 21:22

OOoooooooohhhh. Hellllllo Catkin

catkinisamummynow · 30/11/2007 21:23

Poor Foxy. Hope you get your boiler working soon. And well done on the MP3 front!

Sputnik · 30/11/2007 21:27

Hey long time no see Catkin
how are you finding this mothering lark then?

catkinisamummynow · 30/11/2007 21:33

Hello!
The mothering is bloody brilliant!! Never had so much fun in my life!

Unfortunately today was last day of mat leave and i return to work on Monday!

foxythesnowman · 30/11/2007 21:36

Look on the bright side, Catkin. You can wear proper shoes. Not get vomitted on all day (hmm, depends on your job I suppose!!) have a lunch hour (does everyone else still bolt their food even when children aren't around?). And a hot cup of tea, which if you are really lucky, someone else might make for you!

justbeme · 30/11/2007 21:37

Hi Catkin! - remind us what you had and when?

Foxy, Lol at my capabilties - have you covered the socket up?

Ergh - just watched "Im a Celeb" and the bushtucker trial - I actually barfed when he crunched the kangaroo testicle - i was nearly sick for him!!

foxythesnowman · 30/11/2007 21:42

oooh, should I? I moved the tv out of the way, unplugged it and switched the socket off. (Did occur to me that could be dangerous. Ooops!)
