Major x post there!

Well Dippy - basically it was that our church (miles away from you unfortunately) once had a paid administrator who did around 12-16hours a week. She did loads of organisational stuff, updated lists, prepared stuff for clubs, newsletters, liaised with minister, talked to people re funerals, wedddings and Birthday partys in the back hall etc etc. Really useful and when she moved on to pastures new was much missed. Currently one of the membership who is traininng for something is doing a few hours on an ad hoc basis - and so my suggestion was that maybe you could write to some local churches etc and see if they have any such opportunities. The way we did it, it was the sort of job you take P with you for or do some from home. I know it's a bit toe-curling to have to write making the suggestion but you never know they may be in dire need of someone to rescue them from chaos!

Yes we're all crayyyzeee for even considering moving house. Just getting rather fed up with seeing the police hanging around far too often, and we could do with a bit more space. Not that it's a rough area or anything, but we have had a drugs/arms raid in the house over the road and a murder a few houses up the road since we've been here. But we won't be telling any prospective buyers any of this, oh no.

NorthernLurker · 12/11/2007 11:05

Yes I do want a zebra suit - would go well with my leopard costume

NorthernLurker · 12/11/2007 11:08

Idoc - yes I know what you mean - when I show people round I always mention the lovely neighours who have lived there more than 20 years and not the number of drugs raids in the locale - to be fair not on our street. Awful for you to have had a murder there though - must have been a bit scary. Worst that's happened round here was the year some local youths kept putting large bundles of fireworks in phone boxs and wheelie bins and then setting them off! BIG explosions, knackered the wheelie bin - not ours.

Two weeks ago everyone at Jolly Babies was grizzly. And that was just the mummies and daddies and grandma! I'm hoping D will nap on our way there.

What's odd is that both the evening meetings are baby related, that's clearly what presses my buttons at the moment.

NorthernLurker · 12/11/2007 11:10

Speaking of napping - B has been asleep in pushchair for more than an hour now - I don't want to go and do anything as i keep thinking she's going to wake any second - so I'll just stay here Had I mentioned I've got a lovely pecan brownie all to myself?

Idreamofchocolate · 12/11/2007 11:10

Gits NL! What's really worrying is it might be just as bad where we end up moving to. Cos anyone we buy from isn't exactly going to mention it either. I need to move somewhere posh!

Idreamofchocolate · 12/11/2007 11:12

Mmmmm brownie. Gonna have to look in the cupboard for some choc now. Well I must have lost a few Lbs over the w/e, I deserve it!

CaptainDippy · 12/11/2007 11:16

Yum Brownie. I need to peel some potatoes.

LOL @ Leopard Skin

Yes, I do remember you making suggestion about approaching local churches, it was a very good one and something I should definitely try - Thank you for the nudge NL

NorthernLurker · 12/11/2007 11:17

Never mind dreaming of chocolate you MUST eat it or you'll NEVER survive moving! It's your duty to your family
I am very conscientous about my family duties (hmmmmmmm where did I leave the Wispas?)

Turkeyandsproutsx3 · 12/11/2007 11:17

Ernie has a fluffy leopard costume and a fluffy ladybird one too May be a bit small ....

NorthernLurker · 12/11/2007 11:18

Dippy - potatoes don't work in Brownies! Glad to nudge you

Turkeyandsproutsx3 · 12/11/2007 11:18

Doesn't sound very lentil weaverish - must remeber to dress children in organic cotton ...

NorthernLurker · 12/11/2007 11:20

Right Turkeyetc - I need to see photos of said fluffy suits - and Ernie in them of course. B has a reindeer hat for when she's big enough. Had it for dd1 and we love it but mil thinks we're mad!

NorthernLurker · 12/11/2007 11:21

Oh well if it's not an organic fluffy suit then I'm sorry that just won't do!

Turkeyandsproutsx3 · 12/11/2007 11:22

Will take pics anyway - and of his black eye - people might think its costume make up LOL

Idreamofchocolate · 12/11/2007 11:23

Aw feel all left out, S does't have any dressing up clothes, although saw some cute santa suits in M&S. Em on the other hand loves nothing better than dressing up, so sweet. Am making the most of it, she'll grow out of it soon enough I guess and will get into something horrid like Bratz.

Turkeyandsproutsx3 · 12/11/2007 11:33

They were both given to him - not sure if would buy myself - we did have a fab bee costume for ages. My sister lives in states and brings them over - soooo cute!

StealthPolarBear · 12/11/2007 11:36

T has just bashed his head on the coffee table, has a cut beside his eye now
We haven't got him any dressing up clothes yet but he did do a good sheep impression the other day, uploading it to my profile now

Turkeyandsproutsx3 · 12/11/2007 11:37

arnica

StealthPolarBear · 12/11/2007 11:39

wouldn't he get the lead sheep role in a nativity play??

NorthernLurker · 12/11/2007 11:41

Oh SPB that is adorable! Is he fully crawling now? Looks well up on his knees if not.

Turkeyandsproutsx3 · 12/11/2007 11:48

Baaaaaa

NorthernLurker · 12/11/2007 11:50
