I hope no one minds the other thread seemed to be dying out a bit.

I can't belive Harry is one on Friday, he is into everything, such a cheeky chappy!

Mum is alot better they are sending her home to rest and loose some wieght then getting her back in for another crack at op.
The events of this horrible yr have all caught up with her and she is in bits, its painfull tyo wathc especially not knowing what to say or do.

Jack is fine, still hating nebulisers but its for his own good, he is to into everything and looking more grown up by the day.

I hope everyone is well, are we all looking forward to xmas?

god podglet, you are very brave having another so soon after such a horrible experience! I am sure it will be much better with birth number two!

that's exciting about your sister saralou. Is it her first baby??

KaybeeandZak · 08/02/2008 19:35

Oops did i kill the tread!???

Just wanted to say have a nice weekend everyone. DH and I are off to Paris for 3 nights (without Zak!), all i want to do is sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeep

saralou · 09/02/2008 19:52

hi all!

kaybee, enjoy paris! you lucky girl!

ryan's all poorly again... he's had a temp of 40 degrees the last 3 nights! we've been to the dr's, but he just keeps saying virus -although i do have to get a urine specimen off him to make sure it's not that! so far i can't get it!

then today when he got up his eye is all sticky and theirs a giant spot on the eyeball... cue lots of talking to nhs direct (who are lovely) and local gp out of hours service... then i get to spend all afternoon at the hospital and it's an infected cyst! we have to go to an eye a&e clinic on monday my little man is so unwell it's breaking my heart - all he's doing is sleeping or crying and he has to be permenantly attached to one of us! tomorrow i have to go to bloody work all day... joy, i get to look after patients rather than my own little boy, which sucks!

podglet · 10/02/2008 11:04

Oh Sara, poor Ryan, hope he gets sorted soon, can't you use Chlorophenicol (like you would do for conjunctivitis) to help ease it a little? It sounds horrid.

Kaybee - I don't think brave it the word . I have resigned myself to the fact that I will do as the consultant tells me and hope for a more controlled birth this time. Hope you have had a lovely time in Paris, you lucy thing

Hope everyone else ok.

saralou · 10/02/2008 18:46

he's on some anti-biotic drops for his eyes as their was green stuff coming out!

but his temp never came down, so we spent the afternoon in a&e (mummy got to look after him after all) he's now on antibiotics for a chest infection. they've let us home but if his temp doesn't come down we have open access to the ward... such a relief... i wish i'd taken him to a&e in the first place they were so nice! his temp is still 39 after calpol and ibuprofen.... i hope he's better tomorrow

Kif · 10/02/2008 18:53

Hey ladies.

DS got scalded with tea. He's OK - but it's terrifying isn't it?

My eldest is a daughter... I suspect (judging on experience so far) it's going to be harder work keeping the boy out of trouble.

Kif · 10/02/2008 18:55

Sorry to hear about your Ds Sara. I always find hospital doctors and nurses much more helpful and pro-active than GP/NHS direct/out of hours type care. Hope he's on the mend soon.

saralou · 12/02/2008 19:26

yes, hospital nurses are fab

and ryan is so much better now, his temps right back down, he's happy and playing again and his eye thing has nearly gone!

kif hope ds is ok? (my mum is always telling me that girls are easier in the early years - she thinks pneumatic ((sp)) drills are quieter than my 2 )

Charlee · 18/02/2008 20:23

Hi everyone.

I have a night off from the hospital. jack has had 14 days of i.v's now and we will be travelling up to London for his porta cath to be fitted on Thursday, he will be in theater on Friday so please positive thoughs from all!

Sorry i haven't been around again i guess you all understand!

Harry is a one baby wrecking machine at the moment he is a little bugger but a very cute one!

Hugs to all x

Wow it's ridiculously quiet on here these days..

Hope Jack gets on ok on Friday Charlee. You are doing a great job, I don't know how you cope with it all.

My weekend in Paris was somewhat ruined by the fact I had a really sore back for the whole 4 days - not what you want when you are trying to do sightseeing Not fair!

calsworld · 22/02/2008 08:27

Charlee, I know you won't get this today, but just a quick note to say good luck today, I hope it all goes well and quickly for you both.

Kaybee...I don't get much chance to get on these days but as I'm off sick have spent some time catching up...I'm wondering if any of you are thinking about having another? DH and I have just decided that now DS is 15 months that its time to start TTC no 2. Actually, I think I decided a couple of months ago, its just taken some time to get DH on the same wave length, but he's quite enthusiastic about it now!

DS is starting to walk more and more now, and getting much more confident with it - he'd find it easier if he didn't scrunch all his toes up! Nursery want me to buy him some proper shoes for playing outside in but I thought you weren't supposed to until they were walking really confidently...any thoughts anyone?

KaybeeandZak · 22/02/2008 19:45

Hi calsworld
A couple of us have done more than just think about having another one! I am pg and due on 16th April. Podglet is a few weeks behind me I think. And i think someone else is pg too! It's all very terrifying

Re the shoes, I got DS some when he was starting to walk/, just for use outside and when he was crawling at playgroup (his socks and soft shoes got a proper battering!) I just left him to walk in no shoes at home etc. I know they don't recommend shoes until they are walking properly but sometimes it's just not practical to have none!

podglet · 22/02/2008 20:22

Hi all,

Charlee - hope today went well. Let us know how things are when you can. Thinking of you.

Calsworld - yep, am a couple of weeks behind Kaybee, am due on 2nd May! I have put DS in "cruisers" until he walks properly, which are like proper shoes but only a little softer. Clarks do them, if you want to look on line.

Kaybee - hope you had a good time in Paris, despite the bad back

Hope everyone else is ok. I am 30 weeks today - where has the time gone???

podglet · 22/02/2008 20:23

By the way, it's foghornleghorn that's pg too!

podglet · 02/03/2008 15:00

Oopsey, killed the thread....

Happy Mother's day all.

KaybeeandZak · 02/03/2008 21:11

I was starting to wonder if a new thread had been started and I hadnt found it!

Happy Mothers Day . Hope everyone has had a nice day...

shelleylou · 09/03/2008 23:28

hey can i join?? only just found this thread lol silly me.

KaybeeandZak · 10/03/2008 19:15

hi shellylou, of course you can join, though from the look of it everyone has disappeared!

shelleylou · 10/03/2008 21:06

thanks, think i scared every1 away

KaybeeandZak · 11/03/2008 15:24

nah it wasnt you, they've all just wandered off i think....

shelleylou · 11/03/2008 15:26

good good, makes me feel a bit better. hows your lil one

calsworld · 11/03/2008 18:27

Right - me thinks its time us Nov 06 girlies pulled together! What's going on with all your LO's?

DS has started walking in the last couple of weeks and we've started the slippery slope of shoe buying!

Having a bit of a funny period at the moment with lots of poorliness and puking and have had to revert back to pureeing his dinners or he's sick...hoping its just a phase as he's been eating really well up until now. He's not starved - he's got the most enormous pot belly!

Also, he's just discovered the joys of cbeebies . His favourite show is definatley 'in the night garden' and his favourite character seems to be makkapakka...he gets sooo excited.

I'd be ashamed of letting him watch telly but he has such busy and long days at nursery (7.30 to 6) I think its OK to chill when he gets home. Its not like we don't play at the weekends!

SHelleylou, what have you got - boy or girl and is he / she your first or one of many....
Perhaps we could start compiling a new stats list to get things moving again?

Look forward to hearing from everyone!

a got a boy pfb born on the 8th. hes devolping well walking lots of talking etc. Im just fed up of all this chest infections he gets, been suffering with them since he was 9weeks and been diagnosed with another one today. Im thinking of seeing if they will give him a flu injection to try and stop him getting them from colds. Anyone got any thoughts on that or am i just worrying far too much? x

saralou · 11/03/2008 19:31

ds1 has been very busy turning 3 (where'd my baby go????) giving up dummy's and last week potty training (tip for mums of boys - tuck the willy in 1st or it sprays up - lol, i learned the hard way!)

ds2 is getting so cheeky, he's not walking anymore... he's running

we had some new professional shots done by mil... i'll put them on when i can!!!

hello shellylou! welcome! we are a bit quiet these days, but don't let that hold you back
