I hope no one minds the other thread seemed to be dying out a bit.

I can't belive Harry is one on Friday, he is into everything, such a cheeky chappy!

Mum is alot better they are sending her home to rest and loose some wieght then getting her back in for another crack at op.
The events of this horrible yr have all caught up with her and she is in bits, its painfull tyo wathc especially not knowing what to say or do.

Jack is fine, still hating nebulisers but its for his own good, he is to into everything and looking more grown up by the day.

I hope everyone is well, are we all looking forward to xmas?

Hello everyone

LMAO at Bethbe lololol had me in stitches when I read that!!

Sorry things are going a bit tits up Stace, as always anything we can do, you let us know, don't feel you have to cope with it all on your own.

Ditto to Charlee

A huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all the little ones!!!

George is seeming to learn something new everyday, he is now standing on his own for as long as he likes, and whizzing around holding on to his ride on thingy, but not quite brave enough to take a step on his own yet. We are going down to my mums for his birthday (and a mini-christmas) and I am really hoping he will be at least taking a couple of steps by then, I haven't told her how well he is doing already, so she will be very surprised!

He has completely stopped breast feeding now, which I was quite sad about, but TBH now, I am pleased he stopped, I didn't realise just how much our lives had come to revolve around it LOL I can have a proper drink, don't have to worry about taking tablets (I have done something to my back, and if I hadn't have been able to take anything for it, I think I would have given up the will to live by now!!) So as glad as I was I could and did feed for best part of a year, I am now glad it is all over with!! ...And I am not going to tell you what happened last weekend - my first proper drink for the best part of two years....!! LOL

DS1 had a hearing test at school a couple of weeks ago, had a letter last week saying he hadn't responded to certain sounds, so we are waiting for an appointment to come through. When the letter first came we were surprised, we hadn't realised anything was wrong with his hearing, but now thinking about it, he quite possibly does, he always has the telly blaring out, he shouts when he talks, and his speech isn't quite right (he gets his r's and l's the wrong way round, and can't say s at all) his old teacher said about it last parent's evening, but we still didn't think anything of it. So we are waiting to see about that now, along with his second eye test next month to see if he is colour blind.... he is falling apart!! Bless him.

Ok last bit of news..... was talking to DH a few days ago about me going back on the pill now I'd finished breastfeeding, and I said instead of going back on it, if he is sure he doesn't want anymore kids he might as well go for the snip, and he said (exact words!!) 'Woahhhhhhh, hang on, why don't you go on it for for the next couple of years, just to make sure I don't change my mind' whooooooooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! LOL So he isn't so completely against the idea afterall!! LOL All depends on if we are still in England (and where abouts in England, or if we have managed to move to Spain I suppose!

Right I am off to my bingo LOL how sad am I LOL Have a good weekend everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sara, your two boys are just completely gorgeous!!!! What cheeky little grins!!!

Not doing so well here, George is heading towards another fit, waiting for doctor to ring me, but will probably still be waiting when he is fitting and we're on the way to the hospital again... remember my moans about our gp's receptionist.... don't even get me started this time, I might never stop!!

On a brighter note it is his birthday next Friday, can not believe he is nearly a whole year old, seems like yesterday we were talking about sniffing pads and DIY sweeps LOL

Right best get back to waiting for doc to ring.... love to all xxxx

Morning

Just to let you know he is OK, his fever broke last night, and although he is still coughing his brains out, he seems to be managing his temp. better. Fingers crossed he has got through this one without either a trip to the hospital or an actual fit

Got DS1 at home today with the same thing as George has, but at least I know we won't end up at the hospital with him!

Hope all of the birthday celbrations are going well

Love to all, Natalie xx

Charlee · 29/11/2007 09:09

Good morning

I am speaking to our local paper today, they want to write an article on our housing situation, hopefully it will embarass the council into taking us seriously.

Jack's cough is easing up a little after another lot of antibiotics thats 6 now don't think we can get anymore!

DP is at his new job now, enjoying not having to getg up a daft o'clock in the morning.

Mums ok back at home again resting shes very emotional but were looking after her.

Harry has taken a few daring steps between the sofa and coffee table!
They both have man flu so are very grumpy.

Hope George is feeling better Nat.

saralou · 30/11/2007 09:39

hi all!!!

been so busy this week... i set us the task of redecorating our hallway and landing, 3 days it took us to take the bloody wallpaper off!!! and thats how it shall stay now till we can find some time off together again!! dp got ill halfway through, and today he has to go to a meeting in gatwick at the same place he got summonsed to last year when he got made redundant... fingers crossed it's better news this time!!!

i've also pretty much completed my christmas shopping!! just my nephew and BIL to buy for!! haven't a clue what to get them!!!

Charlee... i hope your mums doing well, any news on her operation? i hope jack feels better soon and the newspaper story has the desired effect for you all!

nat glad george is better for you... he can't be ill for his birthday!!!!

ryans 1 aswell next week... i'm getting excited now... he's getting ever braver with his walking and took a good 6 steps the other night!! he's currently stood next to me waving a dog toy around!! my baby got bigged!!!!

saralou · 30/11/2007 13:52

he's been made redundant again!!!!!!

well garden leave for 90 days.

so it looks like he has plenty of time to finish hallway!!!

mygirllollipop · 30/11/2007 15:12

Sara - I can't believe it, what will you do?

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 30/11/2007 16:25

whats garden leave? am i thick?

saralou · 30/11/2007 16:38

not thick stacey, i'd never heard of it before last year! basically it means he gets paid for the next 3 months, he can't start another job in that time - but he can look! during this time the company restructure and re-organise. at the end of the 3 months if his job is no longer required he is redundant!

so it's not too awful and it means he can finish the hallway! money should be ok (although i do wish i hadn't gone so mad on the christmas shopping) and we get to spend some time together, which we haven't because of the hours he worked!

ryan is being very mischevious today... he emptied out my underwear drawer earlier, then while i was clearing that up he emptied a book shelf... then while i was clearing that up, he started emptying my underwear again! grrr

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 30/11/2007 16:48

oh, so not as drastic as it sounds thats good! hope all is ok at the end of it!

as for being a pita! keiran decides t oempty my drawers and climb in them!! will put a pic on later of him in a drawer, oh yeah and on dds little table thats a good one too! lol

mygirllollipop · 01/12/2007 18:25

Doesn't sound as bad as I thought Sara, hope it all turns out alright.
DD4 does the same trick, climbing into a recently emptied drawers.

NatalieJane · 03/12/2007 10:34

Helloooooooooooooo

Sara, what a bummer, I hope the fact that he will still be paid will let you get through Ryans birthday and xmas without too much worry.

It was our 7th wedding anniversary yesterday, took the boys to my MIL's (first time she has baby sat for us since George was born and she had DS1 for the day) we got the last of the xmas shopping done and we went for a meal on our own, it was lovely

And, I was talking to my mum on the phone this morning, and I actually got an apology out of her, when we got married she (probably quite rightly) went off on one because I hadn't known DH for very long (3 months ) and I was 17 he was 30, and we ran off to Gretna to get married without anyone knowing, we didn't talk for over a year, but she actually apologised for the first time ever and said what a fantastic bloke my DH is and she was sorry for treating him the way she did.... I cried and We have been on great terms for the last 5/6 years, but there was always this niggle in my head that it didn't matter what DH did, she would never accept him fully, but now I know she has. It is great! We are going down on Friday for George's birthday and a mini-christmas for all the grandkids, I was excited before but now I am almost jumping around

Awwwwwww,it's nearly christmasssssssssssssssssss My gorgeous baby is turning into an even more gorgeous - but very cheeky - little boy, my big boy is so absolutely wonderfully in love with his baby brother (he declared a couple of weeks ago he was going to marry George when they are older lololol) I have the bestest hubby in the world..... Ok I am going to stop gushing now

I am off to do some wrapping, take care everyone, love to all xxxxxxxxx

KaybeeandZak · 03/12/2007 19:18

Hi everyone,
well Zak was 1 on Friday, I still can't believe where the last year has gone. We had a family lunch for him on Fri then a joint party with a couple of his friends on Sat, so I am totallly exausted now!

He is such a cutie now, and getting cute cuddly and affectionate, as well as going into the odd strop now and then when he doesnt get his own way!

Everything going ok so far with pg number 2, our 20 wk scan is in about 2 weeks (when i am 23 weeks ) so will then find out whether its a boy or girl ( I just can't wait the whole 9 months!)

Sorry to hear about those having tough times, hope things improve..

xx
