I hope no one minds the other thread seemed to be dying out a bit.

I can't belive Harry is one on Friday, he is into everything, such a cheeky chappy!

Mum is alot better they are sending her home to rest and loose some wieght then getting her back in for another crack at op.
The events of this horrible yr have all caught up with her and she is in bits, its painfull tyo wathc especially not knowing what to say or do.

Jack is fine, still hating nebulisers but its for his own good, he is to into everything and looking more grown up by the day.

I hope everyone is well, are we all looking forward to xmas?

Well I have had the cold since last monday on and off, but today just feel generally crappy belly achey, head achey, and I am frozen even sat infront of the fire with the poorly blanket on!

I nipped into town this morning to get a few things, got off the bus went into clintons to get some birthday cards and that was all I was good for, I came straight home.

I am not good at being ill, I don't normally get ill so I'm not used to it!

littlemissmischief · 22/01/2008 15:32

Thanks ladies knew i could rely on you. My boobs are worse today and the smell of everything is making me feel sick but would only be about 16 days so thinking it must all be in my head as im sure i wouldnt have symptoms yet?
Yes i missed the pill, silly really i didnt go get my new ones but then we slept together a couple more times without it cos we thought it seemed quite a good idea after. Just wish i knew one way or the other it is weird.
I think i will go get a 1st response as you suggested i will let you know the outcome

saralou · 22/01/2008 21:21

hi everyone!!

nat and foghorn.. i had that bug too, it does go away eventually! it felt like it never would, i even lost my voice (dp was so happy!)

congratulations on your pregnancy foghorn! wow! and nat we'll look forward to hearing your good news too

stacey, sorry your having problems with your dh

littlemiss, i hope you get the result you want! don't forget to come back and tell us! i hope alfie's ok?

we're busy decorating... we have a whole day of painting planned tomorrow, boring! and the plumbers coming to do the downstairs loo.. the boys are in nursery for the day - a nice break from them, they are hard work at the moment! ryans so funny though, he looks like a baby ogre, he keeps pulling this face at me!!

xx

NatalieJane · 23/01/2008 08:47

Did you do a test littlemiss? You OK?

LOL Sara, baby ogre???? LOL Bless him!

Well, here we have been doing the whole controlled crying thing, bit controversal, but it has worked, George has been in his cot in his room all night every night since Friday, he didn't cry his heart out (I wouldn't have been able to sit and listen to that) though there was a bout of hard angry crying which lasted for about a minute, that changed to grumbling, and that has changed to him going straight to sleep as soon as we put him down

We have had our whole bed to ourselves for the first time in oooooo 6 years!!!!! We thought we'd make the most of it Saturday night started to ermmm.... well, started the 'act' and then found out the bloody bed squeaks like buggery and ended up back down stairs to finish LOL

Still got this cold/bug thing, symptoms keep changing day to day, but it is generally miserable, I am so grumpy, my poor DH, I don't do illness very well.

Well must get to school, I am waiting for your reply LittleMiss - it is exciting! Have a good day everyone xxx

Staceym21AtLast · 23/01/2008 10:57

hi everyone!

dd today shall mostly be wearing........a sleeping beauty dress, iv given up trying to get it off her!

ds is whinging in his bed, and i should be tidying my kitchen/washing up/tidying the kids room/hoovering/etc. instead im sat on here

oh well lie goes on!

littlemissmischief · 24/01/2008 20:40

Sorry NJ ive left you hanging, did a test yesterday which was negative, but still not sure cos it took 28 days for me to get a bfp with Alfie so am now gonna wait till then and will test once more. Will obviously let you all know
Hope everyone is over the bugs going round and everyone else is ok. x

NatalieJane · 25/01/2008 09:23

Hi everyone

Stace, you sound much more positive

LMMC, sorry it was BFN, all is not over though, do you still feel pregnant? Or, has the BFN sort of showed that it is in your head? (No offence, I have done the whole 'I must be pregnant' symptom spotting thing, a few times even once whilst I had my period..... LOL Weirdo woman I am!)

I still have a cold but all the other bit's of stuff that was coming and going seems to have gone now

G has a cold.

DS1 has a cold.

And yep, even DH has a cold.

Oh the joys of it. I hate January's, and there is STILL another week left to go yet!

Oh well, roll on February, so I can moan be happy about that!

podglet · 25/01/2008 19:50

Hi ladies, hope you are all ok.

LMMC - sorry to hear about the BFN - how are you feeling and will you test again?

Sara - how did the decorating go? DS is being trying at the moment, he cries as soon as I get up to leave a room, yet DP can come and go as he pleases - it is really frustrating as he has never really been clingy.

NJ - glad you are feeling better and hope the boys get over it soon.

Stacey - glad you sound more positive and that you have a plan with (D)H.

FHLH - hurrah for your BFP - when's no 3 due?

Things ok here. DS has been referred to the hosp as he has been ill since Oct, not lots of diff things but not recovering from the same thing. He has had repeated chest infections and a permanent cold I have been off work this week with exhaustion and stress (though my lovely Dr has put flu on the sick note so work don't get funny) - Dp being an a* but hey ho, such is life.

littlemissmischief · 28/01/2008 16:29

Got AF today
It is a humdingr of one too which may explain the sore boobs etc. or it could of all been in my head which is quite possible.

Just had a screaming argument with 3 on the phone (they are sh*t sont EVER buy a phone from them) but am having my hair done tom and seeing a pchyic(sp) tom nite so hopefully will be told i will win the lottery and then i can tell 3 to shove the contract up their arses!!!

Ahhh feel better for that

saralou · 29/01/2008 13:09

oh for gods sake, i was just sat here typing out a long message accidentally hit something and it's all gone!

podglet, i hope you and ds are better soon! put your feet up honey and chill with a face mask, cucumber over the eyes and a bowl of hot water for your feet... then get dp to massage them! it's an order! hope your bumps doing ok! xx

ryan has woken with a rash all over him today, went to the chemist who thinks it could be measles, so we have a gp appointment at 3.20pm... hope it isn't, he's not had his mmr yet (bad mummy) it's due next week!

saralou · 29/01/2008 19:20

not that anyone's been around, but it's a viral rash, which looked so much better when we went to the gp! his temps still high though!

KaybeeandZak · 30/01/2008 20:07

hope your ds is feeling better now saralou. Isn't it funny how they always perk up at the doctors surgery! Zak did that too when he had a temp and seemed all groggy etc, the moment we got to the doctors he was alert and looking much better!

i need to have a rant about my friend who is expecting her second a week before me. Her daughter is 5 weeks younger than Zak, and is in nursery 3 days a week, and looked after by dh 1 day while my friend works. Also, her daughter isnt walking or even crawling! Whenever we meet up she says how hard it is looking after another wee one and what's it going to be like with two when the baby comes etc etc. It's just making me so mad because when her baby comes her dd will still go to nursery, her dh will still be home one day a week looking after dd, and she will only have ONE day a week with 2 kids!!!!!!!! Unlike me, who will have 2 kids, 5 days a week, until dh comes home at 7.30/8pm! (too late to be of any use!) Arhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest

Hope everyone is ok, it's VERY quiet on here........

Charlee · 31/01/2008 19:59

Hello Everyone!

Sorry i have been absent for a while orange took the piss when it came to reconecting our internet.

Anyway news..... here goes.

We are in our new flat, it lovley so nice and dry! No damp at all!

I am driving around with confidence now we have just got a new car of hp.

I joined slimming world and have just got to my 1 stone mark in 4 weeks!

Jack is not well he is in need of a portacath which will sit in his chest and give his drs direct acsess to his viens for antibiotics and things but unfortunatley he is to poorly to have the operation to fit it so we are going back to hospital for 2 weeks on monday to have i.v antibiotics via a neck line (yeuch!) to get him well enough for the op.

Harry is well he is waking everywhere and is a one baby wrecking machine, nothing is safe while he is about! He is so cheeky now and sooo cute!

Everything else is cool, so i am ow goin to tralw through some threads and see what i have been missing!

OP posts:
saralou · 01/02/2008 20:59

hi everyone!!

ds1 is now covered in a rash too... and i have a cold

but, the decorating is coming on well... the hallway and landing are done, just the gloss painting to go! then i decided to paint our bedroom aswell! the toilet suite has been fitted downstairs, now we just have to decorate in their... but we've finally finished our bathroom.. only taken us 4 years! hooray

good to see you back charlee! well done on weight loss.. i'm impressed! hope jack gets on ok with his next lot of ivab's... if theirs anything we can do, even sending him a card?

kaybee... ignore your friend!did you point that fact out to her? do you have anywhere you can stick ds1 (don't mean that as it sounds) a couple of hours at nanny's or in a nursery/childminder? i found that so helpfull in the early days, it gave me an opportunity to rest and spend time with ryan! otherwise i had 6 days a week with dp working 7-8! it's tough to begin with but once you find your feet it's fun (although i still haven't worked out how to cook dinner without ryan screaming at me, lol - dinner time is definitely the toughest time of the day!

Staceym21AtLast · 04/02/2008 09:47

hi everyone, sory i havnt been around.

hope all lo's feel better soon!!!

i passed my driving test!! im so happy, my car is here now and im really enjoying it. it makesl ife so much easier!

NatalieJane · 04/02/2008 10:16

Hello everyone

Podglet, how did it go at the hospital? Hope DP is behaving better?

Sara hope the boys are better? Congratulations on the bathroom!!!

Charlee, nice to see you back And well done on the weight loss! Good luck at the hospital, thinking of you all.

Stace, Congratulations on the driving, well done you!! How are things with you and DH now? Hope the kids pick up soon

I have some news of my own Dh and I have definatly decided to go ahead with TTC'ing We have to wait till May to start but I am sooooooo excited already, also bricking it incase something goes wrong again, but if nothing else at least I am more prepared for that this time.

I still have this bloody cold, well we all do, it has been 3 weeks now, getting mightly pissed off with it! But I treated myself to a lovely hair cut and colour and I had my nails done on Saturday so that perked me up a bit.

George is still sleeping no problem in his cot, in his own room, I can't tell you all how nice it is to have the evenings to ourselves again, by 8.10 they are both in bed, asleep, and now we are going to go and cock it all up again by having another!!! Oh well, at least having the evenings to ourselves means there will be plenty of opportunities to erm.... make another one LOL

Right I am going, I really need to stop rambling on my post's, my post's are always the longest on any thread I go on, and I wouldn't mind but when I am talking face to face with people I don't yabbit on any longer than they do.

I am rambling again..... bye everyone

saralou · 04/02/2008 16:54

hi all!!!

now our bedroom is finished too! feeeling very proud of myself (that was started 2 years ago!)

i have stinky cold... now the boys do too!

stacey... congratulations clever clogs, what car you got then?

nat, do i congratulate you too on your decision, not really sure on ettiquette here thanks for telling us about your sex life though (goes off grumbling that saralou hasn't had any in a while as she still hates dp!)

NatalieJane · 04/02/2008 17:03

That is nothing, gone into major detail on another thread!! LMAO. We do have a rule on there though, no info is too much info, so they weren't surprised!!

Things not going well with DP?

Well done with the DIY BTW, you can come and help us out, I have got the paint ready and waiting, just can't be bothered stripping the wall paper off!

saralou · 04/02/2008 19:20
KaybeeandZak · 04/02/2008 19:50

thanks saralou, I guess I could try to sort out something with MIL but she lives 40 mins away so not so handy that Zak could just be dropped off there - i'd have to go hang out there or she'd have to hang out here which doesn't give me much of a break. Guess I could look into childminders, or see if there are any nursery's who would do a couple of half days, though we can't really afford it!
well done on getting your bedroom finished - 2 years does seem an awfully long time though!

congrats on passing your test stacey!

good luck at the hospital charlee and congrats on the weight loss. I am not looking foward to having to lose it all again!

saralou · 04/02/2008 20:09

oi, cheeky i did have a baby slap bang in the middle of the decorating!! (we'd only started it 2 weeks before i got bfp) then their was the morning sickness to deal with... spd... c-section that took 8 months to heal!! i think i've done quite well, lol!

KaybeeandZak · 04/02/2008 21:26

fair enough I guess!

can I just ask what does bfp mean ??? and AF ??

NatalieJane · 05/02/2008 08:17

Morning all

Sara it is a very good laugh actually, have had quite a few giggles, have only been shocked a couple of times!!

Hiya Kaybee, BFP = Big Fat Positive (as in pregnancy test, BFN = big fat negative.) And AF is Auntie Flo, i.e. period. If you look at the top of the page where 'active convo's' and 'threads I'm on' is there is an 'acronyms' link, there are a load of them listed there.

CD31 today, no sign of AF, it is the only time my mind has been full of TTC'ing and I have actually wanted my AF to show up! I can't bloody win!!

KaybeeandZak · 05/02/2008 10:09

aaaah thanks NJ guess I should have just looked there in the first place

i have to see my midwife today and have my blood sugar done again as it was a bit high last week ( i had just been scoffing sweets so have been keeping off them the last couple of days!!)

NatalieJane · 05/02/2008 10:23

You're very welcome

I hope the blood sugar is back down today, I am sure it is what you said about the sweet's last week.

How are you finding being pregnant with a little one as well? (looking for tips here!!)
