I hope no one minds the other thread seemed to be dying out a bit.

I can't belive Harry is one on Friday, he is into everything, such a cheeky chappy!

Mum is alot better they are sending her home to rest and loose some wieght then getting her back in for another crack at op.
The events of this horrible yr have all caught up with her and she is in bits, its painfull tyo wathc especially not knowing what to say or do.

Jack is fine, still hating nebulisers but its for his own good, he is to into everything and looking more grown up by the day.

I hope everyone is well, are we all looking forward to xmas?

Happy New Year everyone (and happy birthday Stacey).
PIL arrived midday yesterday, leaving Weds, when my mam gets here, she's staying a week. It's DD1's ninth bday on the 3rd she's getting her hair cut and nails done and ears pieced! Yikes she is growing up - is she the eldest out of everyone's on this thread? That would really make me feel old yet I'm about the fourth youngest. anyway I am harping on now best make this place tidy for the PIL!

saralou · 01/01/2008 15:47

happy new year everyone

happy 21st birthday stacey!!!

the fireworks woke ryan up at about 11.30 last night so we watched them together from the bedroom window and saw in the new year together!

christmas was lovely, so nice not having to make the drive up to london this year, we walked to my parents instead!! the boys got thouroughly spoilt by everyone!

ds1 is gonna be 3 next month, i think you do have the oldest mygirl... take care all... gotta get back to work!!

Charlee · 02/01/2008 14:07

Bad news guys, Jack will deffo be needing a portacath and its going to be put in end of jan and we will have to go Royal Brompton to have it done

Crap start to New Year but i suppose if it's essential.......

OP posts:
Staceym11PipersPiping · 02/01/2008 14:16

sorry if im being really ignorant, but whats a portacath?

sorry new year hasnt started well honey!

FoghornLeghorn · 02/01/2008 14:36

Hi all - long time no speak !

Charlee - so glad things are looking up for you - congrats on passing your test and getting the flat, you must be thrilled .
Podglet - Congratulations on #2 you must be very excited and amazing to have such a small gap !
Stacy - Sorry to hear you've been having such a crap time of things, I had a bit of a break from MN so seemed to miss alot of what happened with DH, have managed to pieces some bits together now though. Hope you are feeling and coping OK

Well I am pregnant again, expecting #3 in August - very excited, can't wait.
Casey has been walking since she was 10 months and as cute as it is, it's very tiring having a 3 year old and now 1 year old running riot, and run riot they do !
Casey is poorly at the minute, I thought she had measles but GP today says no to measles but it is a viral infection along the lines of measle - poor little mite is covered in red blotches and her poor little eyes look so poorly

FoghornLeghorn · 02/01/2008 14:39

Sorry the New Year hasn't started the way you expected Charlee

Staceym21AtLast · 02/01/2008 14:46

FHLH, congrats to hear about your pregnancy!!

its bad enough with ds crawling (and walking....on his knees ) hes not managed real walking yet!

hope you had a lovely xmas, sorry to hear Casey isn't well! sending get better vibs for her!

Charlee · 02/01/2008 16:13

A portacath is like a canular (the thingy they stick in the back of your hand in hospital) but it will sit directly in his chest so all they have to do in future is stick a needle through it to get direct acsess to blood's and to put i.v's in since they have so many problems with his viens being crap.

OP posts:
Charlee · 02/01/2008 16:14

Baisicly it will mean another operation and him having it in for lfie, it will need a hospital visit every month for flushing and it has the risk of getting infected or moving, he will have a big bump under his sking in his chest where it sits for ever as well.

Congrats FHLH your brave!

OP posts:
Staceym21AtLast · 02/01/2008 16:14

well at least it should make hospital visits a bit easier. couldnt imagine how much hassle putting a canular in every time would be. i remember ds when he had one put in for his ear infection iv's

oh and charlee, when im driving im coming to visit you!! hehe!

mygirllollipop · 02/01/2008 19:50

Oh Charlee that's {sad} to hear, hoping it makes life easier for him/you.
Congrats FHLH.
DD4 has also been walking since 10 months and so with all her practice she can climb with ease too, it takes her 3 seconds to climb a chair to climb on to the table. She can manage stairs with ease and picks up words by the day. No rest fo the wicked I suppose. DD1 is 9 tommorrow and my mam is coming down tonight (PIL left today) for the celebrations. She had her ears pierced yesterday as her present. Hoping this year DD2 will learn to be sensible (is 6/7 too young for that?), that DD3 gets over the tantrum phase she has recently re-entered, and that DD1 and DD4 continue to grow and develop in the vein they are in. DH looks to be doing well at work, we have our house. Hoping to spend more time with family this year especially recently found memebers. Sadly one of our hamsters died. But if that's the worst the year had to offer I think we did alright.
Cheers everybody.

Staceym21AtLast · 03/01/2008 10:25

mygirl, if only ds couldnt climb till he could walk hes been a moutain climber since about 7 months! he can get onto my window ledges if he drags my chairs around!! and yes i did say he isnt walking, but can still move my dining chairs with ease!

got my last driving lesson before my test today! [pooing it]!

NatalieJane · 03/01/2008 11:49

Happy New Year everyone

Sounds like everyone had a lovely christmas We did as well, though it all seems like years ago already!

Charlee, so sorry about Jack's operation, I am sure the fact that it will make things easier in the long run doesn't help to put the worry at rest, as always, anything we can do, just yell.
Stacey, good luck for your test, got everything crossed for you here

George isn't climbing, or walking (well he can walk holding on to something, but he know's crawling get's him where ever the mischief is a lot quicker than holding on!) However we do have a little chatter box, we have got Mama, Dada, Baba (brother), cat, car, drink, and nodding his head for yes, down to a t, but he never bloody shut's up, and when he can think of nothing else to say we just get 'mama mama mama mama mama' over and over again Which is strange because his brother used to always say 'Hiya daddad'

oooo got to go, DS1 has got his hearing test this afternoon, got to get him from school at 12, I am gonna be lateeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee lol will try and get back later to finish off LOL Bye for now xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 04/01/2008 14:54

Hi Girls

Well happy new year

Taro's birthday went well last month and he's taken a few steps - just doesn't seem to like the fact that walking is slower than crawling at the moment. On the neg side, the new year - we are certainly being presented with quite a few challenges.

! - my teaching has been cancelled - not enough takers
2 - refused housing benefit - apparently we have a income of £299 a week (I'd like to know where it is) - obviously a misinterpretation of figures - but as they have made their decison we have to start all over again and set an appeal in motion.
3 - Taro's ill, I'm ill and DH grampy ill - all on antibiotics
4 - DH business barely breaking even
5 - can't afford gas, Electricty or water - have applied to a charity all on hold

Still - for the moment we have a roof over our heads and a nice landlady - I have a part time job starting soon - hoping that I can wangle a few more hours so I can get working tax credit to pay nursery costs. Wondering if I should sell astrology or something simular online - I'm getting quite good at it - saw a few difficulties this year - just didn't anticipate how big they are. (have sold everything else)

Ah well - here's hoping all goes well for you and yours

All the best
a subdued LA

NatalieJane · 06/01/2008 12:24

Hi everyone, hope all is well

LA, so sorry things seem to be going a bit tit's up, it never rains, but it pours.... hope things start to look up over the next few weeks/months.

DS1's hearing is fine, which took a load off my mind But now have to get his speech sorted out, I am going to ring GP tomorrow see if they will refer him to a speech therapist.

So, I think I might be pregnant, but then I might not be, not brill timing but WOW if I am!! Will keep you all informed

NatalieJane · 06/01/2008 17:15

Think I am having a MC What a fucking day?!

saralou · 06/01/2008 18:12

nat, you ok honey??? did you test positive then???

NatalieJane · 06/01/2008 18:42

No, didn't even do a test, but from talking to my sister (whose had two MC's) and from others on here, it is sounding more and more like a MC

saralou · 06/01/2008 19:28

nat a test will still show positive if you were pregnant, so the gp should be able to tell you if you were or not, and then refer you if needed. i konw it's tough right now but try not to let your mind wander until you've seen your gp. i hope your ok at the minute and your dh is taking care of you.

here, have a hug ((((( ))))) xx

NatalieJane · 06/01/2008 19:31

I am kind of hoping that I can get away with not going to the doc's now, really don't want to face a BFP, and know that there is already nothing there. I'd have only been 6 weeks max anyway, so the likelyhood that it hasn't all come away is fairly low.

I am OK, feeling a bit sad, very guilty, and a bit..... oh I don't know, everything at once!

Don't know how I am supposed to feel really, it isn't like I had known about a baby and then had it taken away, just a bit sad for what could have been I suppose.

saralou · 06/01/2008 20:10

if the bleeding has settled and the pain is manageable, then their isn't any need to go to gp's. your right it probably has all come away, sounds like you passed a lot, but if the bleeding becomes heavy again and your changing pads very regularly (don't use tampons) or if you get more pain than paracetamol/ibuprofen can manage, go see your gp.

look after yourself. xx (sorry if i sound a bit clinical, i'm at work and have my nursey head on)
