foxythesnowman · 10/11/2007 21:24

Chicken, boiled potatoes and water for the next week then Daisy!

DynamiteDaisy · 10/11/2007 21:25

big momentous news near me.....they are razing the co-op to the ground and bulding......

....a WAITROSE!!!!

am giddily excited by this news.

DH worries for our bank balance........composting really expensive fruit and veg instead of just moderately expensive

DynamiteDaisy · 10/11/2007 21:26

LOL foxy.....it wouldn't do my weight loss any harm either now, would it?

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 10/11/2007 21:27

Oooo I LOVE Waitrose.

Foxy, I really don't know how you cope with 4. I have been tearing my hair out and threatening to call the adoption agencies this week, and I only have two

foxythesnowman · 10/11/2007 21:28

Oooh, that's good - your house value will increase!!! How very up-and-coming!

While you're here Daisy, what can I buy my boy for his birthday????? Doesn't want a bike, which was my top choice.

foxythesnowman · 10/11/2007 21:30

Its funny Fairy, but I found having two really hard! Probably just relaxed more when number 3 came along, and positively care-free by the time lo joined us!

foxythesnowman · 10/11/2007 21:41

Oi! DynamiteDaisy! Bonfire nights been and gone you know!

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 10/11/2007 21:41

I'm not sure that I can take the risk of finding that out for myself. I might have a nervous breakdown...!

foxythesnowman · 10/11/2007 21:42

Blardy hell, am talking to myself. And watching the Kylie Show. AAAARRRRGGHHHHHH!

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 10/11/2007 21:42

yes Daisy, you're going to have to join us in the ridiculously early christmas name gang

DynamiteDaisy · 10/11/2007 21:43

I know foxy, but I kind of like this persona....makes me feel bouyed up and invincible.....

I think I might hang onto it for a bit!!!

DynamiteDaisy · 10/11/2007 21:43

has kylie got a show?

foxythesnowman · 10/11/2007 21:46

Peter Andre and Jordan have a show! Kylie has a show! ITV are really pulling out all the stops.

Actually, I love Kylie, but not her own show, comedy sketches etc, Noooooooo!

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 10/11/2007 21:46

We are watching rugby (or rather it's on) and playing scrabulous - we must look a right pair of saddos, both sitting here with our laptops

DynamiteDaisy · 10/11/2007 21:50

fairy, are you playing scrabulous against each other????

do you not have acopy of scrabble in the house?

DynamiteDaisy · 10/11/2007 21:51

ah, ITV....that would be "the other channel". I'm still a child of my parents who would only watch BBC as they'd paid for their licence so were bloody well going to get their money's worth

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 10/11/2007 21:54

We do have a scrabble set but are both doing other things online at the same time - yes I know, it's tragic!

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 10/11/2007 21:59

ooh yeah, while I think of it Holly can I join secret santa? I think I was on the world's shortest mn sabbatical while you were organising it

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 10/11/2007 22:04

Hi bumper. I'm off to bed now. Night all

foxythesnowman · 10/11/2007 22:07

PMSL at you Fairy, and Mr Fairy playing Scrabulous together on your laptops!

Hi Bumper! How has your day been?

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 10/11/2007 22:08

Ok, this sounds really weird I know but the other day I nearly had a panic attack whilst going out for a walk in the dark with DD. I saw this guy hanging around a street, perfectly innocent but in a matter of seconds I had created this sick scenario in my head whereby DD and I got attacked and, well all manner of nasty things happened, and by the time I got to Sainsbury's I was practically hyperventilating. I realised that I am carrying around this constant gnawing fear that I am going to lose DD. Not in a PFB no-one touch my baby kinda way, but in a more subtle back of my mind irrational fear kinda way. It's not even an overwhelming sense of responsibility thing. It's more selfish than that. It's the though that if anything happened to her it would break my heart and I would fall apart. I feel almost dependent on her, like my happiness depends on her existence and that really scares me. Sometimes I look at her and this fear grips me so much I feel like I can't breathe.

I know this make me sound like a psycho but have any of you gone through this? Does it go? How do you live with it?

DynamiteDaisy · 10/11/2007 22:11

Night fairy and hi bumper.

I saw you on elb1's BF thread earlier. I can't believe her MW told her she needed to top up on day 3....her milk must have just been coming in!

how is you're feeding going? has she setteld into it a bit better. DD is a real bugger at the moment and has started nipping and pulling off with a painful pop. I actually went out earlier and left her to be hungry for a bit, as she had "bitten" me four times on the trot so I reasoned she didn't really want it. Apparently she started screaming two mins after I left the house, but DH didn't think to look in the freezer for some ebm so she was very cross (and hungry ) when I got back.

DynamiteDaisy · 10/11/2007 22:17

bumper.....not mad psycho....{hugs} for you. I get those moments of foreboding as well, and they can be very vivid and scary. I had this with DS too, and thought I was going mad, but was told it was part of the PND.

There is a condition called post natal OCD, and imagining that harm is going to come to your LO is a part of it. Please talk to your MH nurse about this when you see her next. I'm not suggesting you have this, as it is pretty rare, but everyone worries about things happening outwith their control. she will be able to reassure you.

foxythesnowman · 10/11/2007 22:17

It doesn't make you sound like a psycho at all Bumper. I certainly feel more vulnerable since having my children, or being with them. I walked a longer way back from the Supermarket today, and didn't go through the Church - which I have done quizzillions of times.

Sometimes my mind plays tricks with me and I have dark, horrid thoughts and panics, but its only when I'm really tired.

So most of the time then!

Perfectly normal Bumper. It stops just after 6 months IME.

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 10/11/2007 22:18

Evening all

sounds like a trip to GP Daisy....poor DD

Ingrowing toenail sounds sore Bumper....ouch!

Fairy....me and DH do that sometimes...him on laptop in front of TV and me on big PC next door ....usually crib though or backgammon....I was gonna come on here and chat tonight but got seriously delayed by finding this...I blardy love this game and MUST NOT play it any more!!

The highlights of my day were emptying my kitchen and a solo trip to Tescos (where I couldn't buy any food cos I don't have a kitchen any more

Night all x
