[gag] at lard soaked sausage rolls.

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 09/11/2007 23:13

OMG! Has anyone seen the durex play advert on the TV for a vibrating cock ring? My eyes nearly popped out of my head and I am not at all prudish!

Has everyone gone to bed?

My ds has had no food yet either. He doesn't seem interested and doesn't show any signs of wanting any, so I'm gonna leave it at least til next month I think.

Poor fury! I hope she is ok.

Doone · 10/11/2007 08:18

Good morning...seems like I'm the only poor sap who's been up since 6am this morning! (And f'ing knackered I am too...) still, DH deserves his lie-in today, and I made him promise it's only till ten this week as I want to go shopping...I'm down to 2 bras now.

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 10/11/2007 08:34

Morning doone - did you mean to post on this thread? Not that you are not welcome to but did you realise it's a PN thread?

BadZelda · 10/11/2007 08:36

Bumper it's me - just got mixed up.

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 10/11/2007 08:38

Ah I see. As you were!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 10/11/2007 08:50

Just tried DD with the baby porridge and it was met with the same disgust as the baby rice last night. My girl is obviously more into root veg than cereals.

And we had a record last night. She woke at 10.30. I don't think she's ever woken that early. And again at 4 and again at 6.15 (with a proper poo in her nappy). So another broken night and early start. I'm going to be sparkling company when we go out to lunch today.

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 10/11/2007 08:52

What's your bedtime routine with her jammy?

BadZelda · 10/11/2007 09:00

At least the 10.30 was hopefully before you went to bed then?
I too am proper tired this morning - but that's probably cos I didn't go to bed till nearly 1 and got up at 6...masochist, me?

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 10/11/2007 09:03

She goes to bed about 7, or if she's truly exhausted and grumpy a little earlier, perhaps 6.30. She has a bath alternate nights, then change & into sleep bag, BF from me, top up 100 ml or so FF from DH, then into cot. Normally then goes straight to sleep until early hours at least. I think it's been about 10 weeks or so since she woke before midnight.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 10/11/2007 09:04

I was just on the point of falling asleep when I heard her wake. Would have been well asleep by then if hadn't been watching Ugly Betty

OP posts:
Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 10/11/2007 09:13

We used to wake DD up at 10.30 for a feed (even if she hadn't gone to sleep till 9) she used to complain a lot (which is why we stopped) but once she was feeding she was fine and then slept through till 7.

My point is maybe you could try waking her at a time which is convenient for you in order to get her to go for longer. Or if DH is giving her a ff top up anyway can he take one of the night wakings?

I know it doesn't make you feel any better but I think some babies just wake up anyway. It's nothing you are doing right or wrong, just the same as with my DD it's nothing we are doing right to get her to sleep she just does. Doesn't help you at all but I just don't want you to worry about that. Maybe just keep experimenting with different routines, but I would definitely get DH in on the act. You need a break Jammy.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 10/11/2007 09:28

My problem is that she had such a good routine - bed at 7, sleep until 4 or 5 or sometimes even 6, then back to sleep for another hour or 2. Why oh why has it all gone pear shaped?

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 10/11/2007 09:30

Jammy could she be going through a www.cyh.com/HealthTopics/HealthTopicDetails.aspx?p=114&np=122&id=2312 wonder week]] (and here? I think you have to adjust for EDD.

DD has just left the 15-19 month period of hell! We have a couple of sunny weeks before expecting a stormy period!

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 10/11/2007 09:31

That first one was here

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 10/11/2007 09:33

DD was the same with feeding. Used to go 3 hours like clock work now we are completely demand feeding and can't seem to go back. Just when you think you've got this parenting lark cracked...

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 10/11/2007 09:52

thanks for those links

jammy, if it's any consolation, dd wakws up most nights now after having slept through from about 9wks to 19wks. She has the odd night where she goes all night, but generally wakes up at least the once.

If she wakes at 2 she will be up again at 6ish, 4 then she'll go till nearly 7, and occasionally wakes at 5, then goes back until about 8. It's a lottery really. I'm just wondering if she is cold rather than hungry, as her bedroom is the coldest in the house.

having a great day so far today . DS is banished to his room for being a little beggar this morning, having a tantrum when DD picked up something of his, then refusing to get dressed telling me he didn't know where to find his clothes or how to put them on. Saturdays are always a nightmare here. I think I may escape and go shopping for a bit!

DynamiteDaisy · 10/11/2007 10:57

ps, I demand feed, so DD has no set routine during the day. Maybe it's time to do some GF on her again, as it did seem to work when she was younger.

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 10/11/2007 10:58

do it daisy, have some time to yourself!

DynamiteDaisy · 10/11/2007 11:16

For those with older DDs....I've just seen this

annobalthebignosereindeer · 10/11/2007 12:33

Wow, I feel like a new person - DS3 slept until 5.30 then back to sleep til 8.30, DS2 slept until 7.30. That's 7 1/2 hours unbroken sleep.

DH and DS1 coming back from manc today, a day early, as DS1 got upset last night. However, he did wake up at 5.30 this morning and tell DH that he'd changed his mind and wanted to stay a bit longer .

Daisy, I'd say do it but DS3 has always been fed on a set routine during the day and he still wakes at night. It just makes it a lot easier for me as I know what to expect through the day.

DynamiteDaisy · 10/11/2007 15:20

didn't get out shopping (well except farking sainsbury's) DH took DD out to the chemist to get some metanium as I can't find the stuff I KNOW is in the house somewhere, and was gone for two bloody hours, camme back with petrolium jelly (FFS ) and nothing for lunch.

So, I had to go do the shopping, AND find some metanium. Why can't men follow instructions. Apparently the lady in the shop said it was the right stuff, even though he thought it looked different, and clearly said petroleum jelly on the tube. I asked him if the lady had given him a tube of toothpaste and said it was the right stuff would he have bought that?????

DynamiteDaisy · 10/11/2007 15:30

anyway....upshot of that is DDs bottom still not cleared up. I'm wondering if she is reacting to the elastic in both real and disposable nappies as it's worse around her thighs and across her tummy.

Don't know what to do as we've tried everything on the market and dispos/real nappies and nothing makes a difference

annobalthebignosereindeer · 10/11/2007 17:31

Poor babyboo
