Morning Jammy - god what a night....you poor thing.....is she asleep now? Perhaps you should get your head back down as well.....

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 09/11/2007 08:30

Morning Norty. She is asleep again. I saw her rubbing her eyes so popped her back into her cot about 20 minutes ago. She protested voaclly for about 10 mins, but I was too tired and fed up to care I'm afraid, so I just let her get on with it and she's fallen asleep. I think that was the problem yesterday that she was so tired but wouldn't sleep, so got grouchier and grouchier.

But I'm hopeless at morning napping myslef (if it was after lunch it'd be another story altogether) so I'm not getting any zs myself now I'm afraid, but will take the chance to sit down and take it easy for a bit.

Just watching the start of in the night garden - if Iggle Piggle's boat is no bigger than a child's hand, then on that scale the pontipines must be nanobots surely?

Poor you Jammy - can you have an easy day, just be kind to yourself?

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 09/11/2007 10:13

Just had a huge row with DH because I wasn't overly impressed that him taking DD out fir a couple of hours was a good birthday treat. I've been hinting that he should take her out sometimes for months.

Sorry, I'm in a real bad mood. We're now off to rhyme time though, hope some singing will cheer us both up

Sympathies to you Jammy.

Sputnik · 09/11/2007 10:17

Can't say I blame you

foxythesnowman · 09/11/2007 10:20

birthday treat Jammy? have I missed something? is it your birthday??

I really feel for you. you must be utterly exhausted, and with a baby there really is very little catch up time. It does take its toll. sorry to hear you've had a row, it doesn't help does it?

Sputnik · 09/11/2007 10:25

Next tuesday, according to fb

Sputnik · 09/11/2007 10:26

does anyone else feel like they could eat a house?

foxythesnowman · 09/11/2007 10:50

Hi Sputnik, how are you doing?

yep. Had porridge an hour ago, now making my way through a malt loaf.

I have not had spag bol once this week

Am trying to persuade DD1 to come out, but she doesn't want to.

"I'll go for a babychino", she says.

Am I raising a monster?

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 09/11/2007 10:59

Funnily enough my massive bfing appetite has finally died down a bit. Though I did just have ice cream for breakfast so not sure what's going on there

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 09/11/2007 11:00

Jammy, sorry you are having such crappy waking nights. Do you express at all? Can DH do a night duty with EBM?

foxythesnowman · 09/11/2007 11:08

Hi Bumper. I have bought some of that herbal stuff you suggested

How are things with you?

DynamiteDaisy · 09/11/2007 11:18

morning peeps.

sorry you're having a rubbish time at the mo Jammy, and hope DD sleeps when out in the prma today...not that that helps you get some extra sleep though.

DD ROLLED OVER...YAY!!!

but everyone missed it.....boo . She'd been rolling around on the floor and DS (yup, off school today) was mucking about on DHs computer. DH out. I went out to hang some washin out and when I got back in she was floundering on her tummy! DS was so busy on the pooter he didn't even notice.

We've been hovering over her waiting for her to do it again, but nooooo. She's worn herself out though and is now flaked out in her cot.

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 09/11/2007 11:25

Well done babyboo! Sound like she has worn herself out! Yay daisy!

We are ok here foxy! Had a bit of a spending spree yesterday as I got a bit of extra money from work (might as well make the most of it before contractual mat pay ends next month!) and DH bought me those lovely leopard print office shoes for Christmas! Now I look less scummy mummy and more yummy money and can finally retire my maternity jeans!

Hope your DD2 is ok foxy.

Sending sleepy vibes to Jammy's LO!

foxythesnowman · 09/11/2007 11:27

How are you today Daisy?

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 09/11/2007 11:28

Right, DD and I are going have a bath, the little grubster!

foxythesnowman · 09/11/2007 11:30

Yay for BabyBoos rolling over!
Yay for Bumpers shoes!

Now, lets have a word with Jammy's lo! Shall I send you some super-strength chamomile infusion if I can persuade DD off the sofa and down to Neals Yard to actually buy it? Honestly, she is her father's daughter!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 09/11/2007 11:36

Thanks ladies for your support. Have spoken to DH and kind of made up. He admits that he sees how that offering me a couple of hours time to myself as a present from DD (yes present, not treat) could make me feel despondent, thinking that it has to be a high day or holiday for him to do a bit of childcare on his own. We went to rhyme time, which was OK, and thankfully she fell asleep on the way home. So she's been left in her buggy by the back ddor which is open, so she gets a lovely cool wind blowing past as I don't want to risk waking her by undoing to cover and taking her hat off. As a consequence I'm cold, but hey I can put a jumper on in a moment and it's a small price to pay.

As for expressing, don't really get the chance to as she usually feeds every 2 hours, and sometimes it's every hour and half. But I might give in and make up some FF tonight or tomorrow night and let DH take over.

But she's quiet at the moment, so I'm going to put on that jumper and have a little chill out.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 09/11/2007 11:37

And huzzah for BabyBoo rolling, and Bumper's yummyness, and thanks but no thanks to chamomile tea, can't stand the stuff I'm afraid.
