(Possibly I was still thinking about shoes...)

2Happy · 11/11/2007 20:46

Now I did warn you about the multiple messages

Wilkie · 11/11/2007 20:48

It was rank - I gave him a BJ. WTF is that about - even DH doesn't get one of those unless it is a special occasion

eandh · 11/11/2007 20:48

thanks for that info dh don't think I'll worry to much a dh and I have good eyesight.

Forgot to say happy bday mrsc

2happy - how are the boys now - sleeping hopefully

wilkie - scared to meet up with you again now in case you pounce on me

dh asleep on sofa as he actually got up with e and h today (at 5.45) as I was up from 1.30 to 2.50 with hattie, i stayed in bed till 7 then ellie came in and jumped on me (apparently dh didnt notice her coming upstairs )

Wilkie · 11/11/2007 20:48

shared too much again

Wilkie · 11/11/2007 20:49

As I said in my text EAH - I was GREAT, you were mediocre

eandh · 11/11/2007 20:50

[humpf] at my rating

2Happy · 11/11/2007 20:50

ds1 still awake, surprise surprise . So I'll have one overtired boy tomorrow...supposed to be going to soft play with a group of peer supporters (taken tomorrow off work so I'm only trying to get all 3 of us out the door by 7.30 on one of the days dh is away), but now it occurs to me, maybe the others won't want a baby with conjunctivitis there... (Yes, only now, he's had it for 3 days, I'm slow on the uptake...)

2Happy · 11/11/2007 20:51
  • and that's sick not envy - at giving JC a BJ!
Wilkie · 11/11/2007 20:53

It wasn't clean 2Happy

EAH - you just need to try harder

theUrbanDryad · 11/11/2007 20:54

DH - they only dilate in certain cases, it's certainly not the norm, and the optom would have had to have quite a concern to do in such a young child! is there a history of eye problems in the family? usually they'll just check the health of the eye with a light, then do retinoscopy, which as you say checks the shape of the eye to see where the light falls in relation to the retina. most kids love it, a good optom will make it a game, and it doesn't hurt like the dentists!

EAH - i would definitely get Ellie checked, as i said, it's free and could save a lot of problems later on in life.

Wilkie · 11/11/2007 20:54

Am playing Scrabulous with a random bloke who has just asked if he can add me to his friends........erm no!

Wilkie · 11/11/2007 20:55

BTW - do any of you clean LO's teeth?? I give J the brush to chew on with a smear of Milk Teeth on it but other than that - he won't let me brush them!

2Happy · 11/11/2007 20:56

"It wasn't clean" - what the dream or his willy....ugh, smeg, you're going to make me start barfing again!

eandh · 11/11/2007 20:56

think i'll pop to boots optician and if we can do it minus drops will be ok but she'll freak at drops in her eye

eandh · 11/11/2007 20:57

i have a fingertip toothbrush bit like a thimble and hattie attempts to bite my finger whilst i clean them

MrsCarrot · 11/11/2007 20:57

I try and brush F's but mostly he just chomps down on the brush

canmummy · 11/11/2007 20:58

Just been following the thread for 5 mins and had to re-read it to make sure I got it right - yuk wilkie!!!

I'm shattered as lo still teething - when does it ever stop? She's usually up a couple of times in the night and dh keeps giving her calpol which I then find on the back of her head the next morning think he needs a lesson as where her mouth is

bunnyhunny · 11/11/2007 21:00

Wilkie - you are gross [sick emoticon]. jeremy CLARKSON!!!!

canmummy - my theory is that teething is pretty much constant...

Wilkie · 11/11/2007 21:00

Yes it was smeggy 2Happy. Not nice [bleurgh]

J has discovered the joys of biting - he bit my wobbly tum this afternoon so I shouted at him

theUrbanDryad · 11/11/2007 21:00

i'd be seriously amazed if they wanted to dilate, EAH. as i said, it's only in very special cases that they'll dilate a child's pupils. same for adults, actually. it can make you feel very spaced out and you shouldn't drive afterwards (probably not an issue for Luke, though, eh DH?!)

eandh · 11/11/2007 21:01

oo oo oo meant to say hattie pinched my arm and left a wacking big bruise

Wilkie · 11/11/2007 21:02

Is this common then for LOs to get voilent at this stage

2Happy · 11/11/2007 21:02

yukyukyukyukyukyukyukyukyuk

calpol on the back of the head?? [perplexed]

So what do you reckon about softplay and conjunctivits - is it a total no-no, or would you not care?

theUrbanDryad · 11/11/2007 21:03

Wilkie - Z bites me when feeding. it's doing my head right in at the moment. i've shouted at him before and he cried and stopped doing it for a bit, but then he did it again, and i said NO and took him off and he just laughed at me

my mum bought me a book called No Cry Sleep Solution - it's working already and we've only been using it 2 days, we all slept in till gone 9 this morning (woke for a feed at 2, 4 and 6, but i slept through those mostly!)
