canmummy - Z caught fleas from the IL's cats. ewwww.

2Happy · 07/11/2007 19:29

Evening all. cute pics RGee and Vino. I have uploaded a pic of the nail varnish disaster - I had to use wide angle to fit it in, but that somehow makes it seem smaller and less awful! But in fact it's almost all come up really well! The worst patch I can still see where it is, but I reckon visitors wouldn't (especially not with the chaos my house is normally in )
Glad the sickness is better canmummy
congrats on the walking bunnyhunny
congrats on the weight loss wilkie
PCF - well?!!! we're waiting! Did you rub your ankle/repeat the pt?!

vinorouge · 07/11/2007 19:52

Like the way you gave us an idea of the scale of the nail varnish disaster 2happy!

Must get my pud now - rhubarb crumble and custard. I can hardly wait!

Had a baby free day today as still off work this week but sent E to nursery, where they have reported chicken pox so fingers crossed she doesn't get it. It was bliss to get into bed for an hours nap this afternoon.

2Happy · 07/11/2007 19:56

Ah yes, running round like a mad eejit, trying to give ds1 his supper, getting screaming ds2 up and giving him supper, frantically posting on MN about how to solve the disaster - and yet still I had enough time to not only think about photographing it but also to put ds1's tractor in the picture for scale. I am completely barking

well, insomniac baby was up at 2 am and didn't go back to sleep till gone 5. he needs an ASBO (anti social BABY order)

katwith3kittens · 08/11/2007 10:16

Oooh thats grim UD but pmsl about the ASBO idea !

Heard LO crying in his cot in the middle of the night and got up in the dark to bring him into my bedroom and walked into the door nose first .. what an idiot !

2H ... I knew it would be a dark nail varnish on a cream carpet ... always is

Well DS2 crawled his first few crawls yesterday so he's about to get mobile, still just 2 teeth though. He seems to be so slow in comparison to a lot of the other babies on here. The other 2 walked at 14 /15 months so not too worried, he'll do it when he's ready.

Head Lice ... fleas.... Gross....

Just wait till you all catch threadworms... now that really is the pits

Hi again, I keep loosing you all

Hope you are all ok?
do any of your DC have their first teeth yet? If so, could you please send them round here, to tell my DD how to get them to push through the surface... this has been going on for months now, teasing us... she is bloody aweful, and i'm getting NO sleep at all.

plus, she now thinks it perfectly acceptable to lift up my top, kneel on all fours and feed for englan in the night... I dont always evn notice until she climbs over me to get to the other side. I feel like a prize heffer still.

Sorry to bowl in and moan! i'm just so so tired and fed up. I've had my Dh at home for nearly 3 weeks, looking after me and Isobel, as my back was so bad i couldnt get out of bed for days. I miss him so so much now, and am not coping too well. mainly due to being so tired.

Hope you are all ok. dont feel i've had chance to get to know you all really. I hope i can now i've foiund you again!

sorry again for being a moan.

trixymalixy · 08/11/2007 11:01

I think I'll need to join that thread too UD!!

I need to do something about Ds' sleeping but can't bring myself to do CC.

I've been trying not to feed him at night since I saw how little of a bottle he took at night.

eandh · 09/11/2007 07:09

Morning better night here only got up at 4am to put dummy in and then she slept till 6.25.

Saying that the pair of them were driving me mad last night both very very whingy and would not go to bed without screaming/crying/hanging onto cot/getting out if bed and dh working late ended up calling my mum and dad and mum had gone out so dad popped down and got them both to sleep in 10mins (think he was alot calmer than me at that point!)

Wilkie text her laptop is broken so no mn for her for a while and laughalot has been aving problems with her isp and cannot connect in teh evenings so looks like it'll be quier on here for a while

Lizzzombie · 10/11/2007 21:19

I am here - watching X-Factor Results!
Had my last day at Primark today - woo hoo!
Was talking to a lady whoose sister is a self employed personal shopper in Maidstone. She charges £25 per hour....I SO could do that.

Oh my goodness, Beverly is in the bottom 2. She is quite good. The bloke is cr*p though...off to watch final performances! x

Dragonhart · 10/11/2007 21:25

Hello all. Been mad here with DH working ridiculous hours last few weeks. He said last week would be the last but suprise suprise came home and said that there are two more weekends to work before christmas...so far.

Can I just say I FCKING* HATE FIREWORKS! If one more wakes up Ruth or Luke at night, I will hunt down the culprit and stick one up their arse.

Had a quick catch up but just from memory:

Congratulations to Lizz on the new job.

Oh no 2happy. Hope all the sick mums and babies are getting better.

RUth has just moved into 9-12 sleepsuits and tshirts which seems odd considering she is on the 2nd centile for weight.

Still no movement here Trixy and only two barely through teeth at the bottom.

I have been going to baby sign classes too. I went with Luke and we both enjoyed it and RUth thinks it is hilarious! I would definately recomend it. We go to Tinytalk ones.

I have to say that I am a mean mum and will not be taking Ruth and Luke to Disney World/Land/Paris as I hate that kind of thing. All those people in one place gives me the willies. MIL is booking us to go to the Thomas trip again but to visit Father Christmas too and I am dreading it. I know, it is all for the kids and he will love it but to me, it is grim. All those taking DCs to Disney World are better mums than me!

Ok, so do you remember when I was worrying about Ruth not feeding herself? Well just be careful what you wish for. She will not let me spoon feed her now. She insists on eating it all herself and will just about tolerate me helping her spoon yoghurt into her mouth, but anything else and she cries and turns her head. It is nicer for me to eat my tea but a pain if we are in a rush!

We bought a car today! It is a Blue Picasso and so far, having owned it for 4 hours, I am very happy

Hope eveyone else is ok. xxx

Lizzzombie · 10/11/2007 21:32

Congrats on the new car!

Can I just ask - how long do people spend feeding their LO's at each meal?

DJ takes about 45 mins for lunch and tea each and its driving me insane !

Dragonhart · 10/11/2007 21:39

I have to say that Ruth eats for as long as LUke will sit at the table for! Usually about 15-20mins for main and pudding. He eats much quicker than her and fidgets asking repeatidly for pudding. Meals times are sooo peaceful in the Dragon house
