RGee · 19/11/2007 20:21

i've got 2H syndrome, and have nothing to say. Other than hello, and I'm FREEZING!!

Wilkie · 19/11/2007 20:24

I am FREEZING too! And bored....have even resorted to writing crimbo cards. How sad am I. Any one up for a group game of Scrabulous?

RGee · 19/11/2007 20:32

eandh · 19/11/2007 20:36

well if I win that one then dh will have no option but to drive up and take advantage of the lesson and I suppose me and the girls could pop in and see you and J

Dragonhart · 19/11/2007 20:45

Vino- Glad you got the house you wanted. I'd say that it is a good thing, you dont need to worry that she is enjoying her nursery. Ruth's current favorite person is Mrs Rabbit (her bunny she takes to bed). She is always so pleased to see her.

Urban- COngratulations to your friend.

Laughalot- Thats awful. Scumbags.

RUth tries to say lots of words but the only way you know what she is talking about is when she points at it. I am loving talking to Luke atm. He has just really go tthe hang of talking so it is lovely when we go out. Unless I am trying to concentrate and he says the same thing again and again and again and again AND AGAIN!

2happy- Stickers were my bf when pt Luke! I bought a pack of 1000 for £1.45 form asda.

I am glad I am not the only one who has not bought their secret santa present, let alone posted it! (sorry to ss)

We made Christmas cake yesterday. I say we, but Luke just tried to sabotage my efforts. I thought it would be fun to make it together but after putting the fat and sugar together, I went to get the brandy and came back and he had emptied the whole bag of sugar into the bowl. So I scarped as much as I could out then he put 6 nutmegs in while I wasnt looking and mixed them in so I almost didnt notice and kept zeroing the scales. As it is for my MIL when we go down, I prob should have done it alone. But luke did enjoy making it or should I say eating all the dried fruit

eandh · 19/11/2007 20:54

ooo dh he sounds as 'helpful' as ellie!!

eandh · 19/11/2007 20:58

i saw these on another thread last night ordered 5 plus found code for free delivery bargain!!!!

Lizzzombie · 20/11/2007 08:22

EAH - I am assuming you wont want a couple of vibrators to raffle off (DP works for Ann Summers!)

Lizzzombie · 20/11/2007 08:23

ps - sticker thing - HUGE bargain! So impressed. There are none left now. Darn it!

eandh · 20/11/2007 08:32

Oooo Lizz that would be a good one for putting a smile on the Mums but can you imagine the granny/nanny faces and the questions from the children -'Mummy whats that' 'can I have a go' 'ooo look mummy vibrating bunny '

Did dp think a bame up for the glass/ice thingy?

eandh · 20/11/2007 08:34

name not bame

God I am in a foul mood this morning have backache from lugging Hattie about, plus both of them were up last night as some twods were having a blimmin full scale row outside (I shouted out of the window fishwife style to go to the outside of their own house and bloody argue!)

theUrbanDryad · 20/11/2007 10:25

haha EAH -that's the sort of thing i always want to do but never do!!

just been to Tescos to buy milk for Felix! i got a couple of biiig cartons of SMA Gold then some littler cartons of the hungry baby stuff. is that right? he seems like he's gonna be a guzzler. i asked one of the shop assistants but i think she was about 12 and as clueless as me! i don't know why they don't do little cartons of SMA Gold...seems stupid. i mean, it's what he's on at the hospital, so you'd think they'd make them! arrrrgh it's too confusing!

Z is currently having a conversation with his Coda from Brother Bear. tis very cute.

eandh · 20/11/2007 12:38

hi ud

sma do sell small cartons of all their milk might just be out of stock, hungry baby stuff can cause them to have tummy ache as its a thicker mixture (sma quite a thick milk had to change hattie as it made her have tummy ache/constipated) When I had ellei they gave you little prepared bottles of formula and disposable teats then when I had hattie I had to take my own bottles and formula and make up a bottle as I needed it except i took thos elittle cartons and just used one of those when I needed to and stored the remainder in the fridge (they gave me this hige cold water steriliser that was impossible to move after having a c section)

RGee · 20/11/2007 13:15

Nursery has just called. LO has slapped cheek syndrome.........

2Happy · 20/11/2007 14:24

Oh no RGee hope she's not too poorly. I got phoned at work this am too, ds1 has diarrhoea. I don't think there's been a day int he last 6 weeks where one of the family hasn't been ill (or teething). And I'm tired, ds2's been ill/teething/ill/just awake early and dh is always either out, or on call, or just about to be on call, or just been on call, or some other lame ass excuse why he can't take ds2 and this morning I felt like just dropping the kids at the CM and driving off, booking into a hotel and just going to sleep!!

sorry, didn't mean to rant, meant to say I hope your lo's ok, RGee. I think I might try a sneaky nap....

Wilkie · 20/11/2007 18:43

2Happy - can't you ask your parents to have them for a day so you can have a break??? You sound like you desperately need it!

RGee - poor little Pippa. Hope she is better soon

UD - SMA is the devil's work (IMO). I am amazed you are supporting the cause!!!!!

Work been manic. J happier today. Nothing to report. Just off to book my blood donation appointment. Who on here donates?? Did you know only 2% of the eligible population donates - I think that is shockingly shite - am thinking of adding my name the bone marrow donor list too but need to research a bit more...

walkinginaWILKIEwonderland · 20/11/2007 19:05

Do you like me new christmassy name??

2Happy · 20/11/2007 19:10

My parents are on hol for 3 weeks, how very dare they!

Like the name! Tho now I'll have that song stuck in my head all night

2Happy · 20/11/2007 19:11

In my wife's clothes, and silk pantyhose, walking round in women's underwear

theUrbanDryad · 20/11/2007 19:40

Wilkie - i was told by my HV that until babies are 8 weeks old they need to have the pre-packed cartons as the powdered stuff isn't sterile, and some batches were found to contain salmonella among other stuff i told my friend and she just said she'd wing it, so i thought i'd buy her some to get started till her milk tokens come in. she told me today her milk had come in (to her breasts) and that Felix has a natural latch but she "isn't that faffed" about bf-ing i know it's her choice and all, but surely making up bottles is more of a faff! as for the SMA, both her older kids had it, so i guess she's just going with what she knows...

i managed to find some small cartons of SMA Gold at Boots anyway while i was looking for cough medicine for Z. is there any chesty cough medicine that's ok for under 12 months? i couldn't find any.

RGee - hope Pippa's ok xx

eandh · 20/11/2007 19:46

Think the only cough mixture under 12 months is txylix baby syrup.

Am bored bored bored dh playing footie, girls in bed (although ellie has been in a very tetchy mood and scratching her tummy so am wondering if chicken pox is on the way) hattie slept for a total of 50 minutes all day so was in bed at 5.30pm and I am trying not to go in kitchen and pick at something tasty.

walkinginaWILKIEwonderland · 20/11/2007 19:50

UD - went to dr on Thurs with J cos he has a terrible chesty cough. You can't buy over the counter chesty cough medicine for uner 1's. GP said they are a waste of time anyway and you are best off giving them calpol to relieve any potential sore throat.

Defo get him checked at the Dr though as chesty coughs can be a sign of chest infection.
