wilkie - 10lb!! that is fantastic. sorry, I don't know anything about WW except the points thing - do you have to pay to join and to go to the meetings? I looked at the online one, but I don't know if I would have the motivation to do it on my own.

Wilkie · 12/11/2007 21:59

Bunny - I got a voucher of t'internet so no joining fee (£9), it is then £5.50 per week. Core Plan is based around portion control and eating until you are full then stopping. Once you know the free foods you can eat and you get 21 points for the week for bad things then it is easy.

I started on points, hated the faffing and didn't lose anything. Since switching to Core I feel healthy and the weight has DROPPED off.

MrsCarrot · 12/11/2007 22:11

That sounds like that hypnotherapy one, I can make you thin,, Allen Carr? He talks about eating what you want but only if you really want it but you must stop when you're full.

It worked for me for a bit then I sort of forgot about it. I thought WW was all about points, I haven't heard of the Core Plan.

I would very much like to lose 101b. Weren't you only a size 10 anyway, Wilkie? You must be very tiny now.

Lizzzombie · 12/11/2007 22:31

That was a bargain there Wilkie.
DP looked into joining online. Its £30 + £9.90 a week at the moment.
I have got the points book off my sister and the veggie cook book though. So I am going to try and do it myself.

Have uploaded photo of DJ in the garden!

x

Lizzzombie · 12/11/2007 22:32

BTW - we have a 2nd tooth! woo hoo! Its bottom centre right. So that one and the fang one at the top means he looks very strange! Poor little mite is just crying and crying. I have dosed him up on nurofen so hope he will sleep soon!

Dragonhart · 12/11/2007 22:53

LOL Lizz! Your own little cabbage patch baby (although obviously alot cuter. Cabbage patch doll usd to give me the creeps)

Canmummy- Sure Luke would have a lot of sypathy for you. As I said he hates them!

I am not good at any type of diet, the only way I can shift any weight is to walk it off (pushing Luke and Ruth in the buggy seems to help!). Its just the wobbly roll of flab around my middle I need a hand with! Any magic way to get rid of it? [hopeful emocicon]

Dragonhart · 12/11/2007 22:54

Oh and hope you have a good night Lizz.

theUrbanDryad · 13/11/2007 10:32

laughalot · 13/11/2007 13:00

katwith3kittens · 13/11/2007 13:13

Just snook a look at your profile as I couldnt remember who lived in Warrington and I thought you had something to hide from your recent post ! Got me there proper

Dragonhart are you there ? .... I want to get a voucher for a manicure, facial treat or similar for my BF who lives in Runcorn. Can you recommend anywhere nice. Dont mind if its a bit pricey as she's my best friend. She doesnt have kids but dotes on mine so its nice to be in a position to treat her. Thanks.

So much for spending less time on here !

Lizzzombie · 13/11/2007 16:55

Oh no. LAL - you poor thing. Much sympathies. x

Wilkie - I've posted my SS onto you. (I am trying to be as organised as EAH!)

eandh · 13/11/2007 16:57

are we meant to post to wilkie I am posting to my ss Confused

Lizzzombie · 13/11/2007 17:37

Wilkie is going to post mine onto my SS as she didnt have the address to pass onto me and I had already got it ready.
(does that make sense )?

Lizzzombie · 13/11/2007 17:38

ps - we dropped morning milk and afternoon milk, and DJ ate lunch and tea with minimal fuss! Woo Hoo!
(he wasnt impressed at the lack of his milk though!)

theUrbanDryad · 13/11/2007 18:04

i claim the first baby-induced glasses disaster! Z grabbed my specs today, and i tried to grab them back, and the lens shattered! will cost £400+ for new lenses. thank god for house insurance eh?

Wilkie · 13/11/2007 18:21

Lizz - if you join a meeting and then get a monthly pass you get the internet side of things for free. Monthly pass is £17.95 - well worth doing.

MrsC - I was a 10 but sometimes a 12 whereas now am just bog standard 10. Am smallest I have been for three years so very pleased although my belly is still wobbly. I do feel good though.

LAL - oh god your poor thing - where've you got that from??

EAH - Nooooooo, don't send your SS's to me!

eandh · 13/11/2007 18:40

((hugs)) lal stick the kids on the national express down to me

phew glad I didnt misinterpret the ss was going to say when I post or posted mine but it would give it away when the person receives it are we revealing in january who had who?

Have started thinking about hattie's birthday for ellie's 1st we had a huge garden party as it was my mums 50th the week before, but because it'll have to be indoors am going to do a tea party on the saturday 5th (her actual birthday) with some friends whoe lo's are similar ages and then doing buffet thingy on the sunday for grandparents/great grandparents/aunties etc. I spent a fortune on ellies 1st birthday decorations but luckily kept them lent them to mate in august for her dd's 1 st birthday and she got the few bits of the set I didnt buy and gave them all back to me so that cuts expense. So anyone who has a girl whose birthday is after 5th january and wants banners/tablecloth/hangy things and some other bits and bobs etc I'll gladly post them (although will need them back for end of feb for neighbours dd 1st birthday!)

My dad isnt working today and has been looking at the dolls house we've got ellie for xmas (its at their house and he is going to put it together and bring it down on xmas eve when shes asleep) he rang and we popped to dolls house shop whilst e at school and he has bought wallpaper and flooring etc (£23 eek!) and is going to decorate it so I now have to make diddy curtains.

2happy did you get out the house by 7.30am?

UD oh no re glasses glad they are covered phew

lizz well done dj on eating

ummm where are vino/rgee/lth/mrsc/jodie etc lots of people missing

RGee · 13/11/2007 19:01

Lal - urgh you poor thing. Hope you're feeling ok, but heard shingles can be nasty. Have your lo's had chickenpox?

Hi Eah - been a bit of a hectic couple of weeks for me, so not much time to jump on the computer. Last week Pip was poorly with the bug that's been sweeping up north. She was better mid week but not her normal self. Then when she was recovered, I was supposed to be working all weekend, but I got sickness bug on Friday night / Sat morning, recovered Sunday, but was at work til 9.30pm yesterday helping run an event. Then today dh has been poorly with the sickness bug without the sickness (man flu??). Anyway, all being well I'm hoping the next few weeks will be calmer. May take Thursday off work and just lounge about the house. I really need my hair cut and to go to the opticians.

Talking of which, UD, I don't know what to do to stop lo grabbing my glasses, other than swift distraction. I do though desperately need a new pair, as these are over 2 years old now and my eyesight just keep getting worse.

2Happy · 13/11/2007 19:50

Lal - poor you! Hope you feel better soon
RGee - sickness bug without the sickness, huh? That's a bit like a phantom pregnancy then!
UD - oh no on the glasses! Z: leave the glasses alone!
Wilkie - congrats on the weight loss! (Or did I already say that?? My memory is getting worse not better)

I was on the road by 7.40 this morning, so only 10 minutes late. I was very impressed. But i only managed it by having my shower last night not this morning, which I do not want to have to do very often - I hate not starting the day with a shower (except for very lazy weekends...though there's no such thing now...). dh back tonight, and boy does he bloody owe me, 2 days with teething ds2! He's also overtired because he refused to sleep for CM this morning. And he's knackered because he's cruising now too. The first 6 months were soooo much easier!

vinorouge · 13/11/2007 21:18

gosh a lot to catch up on

I am another one struggling with lo grabbing my specs! She looks so upset when I taken them off bless her

Been really busy over last week or so. We are gonna accept an offer on our house tomorrow which is less than we wanted but the only remotely interested person and we just want to sell it. found one we want so fingers crossed it all works out

no shoes here yet but she's not walking so no rush

am feeling disorganised re secret santa

wilkie your ww sounds so good

eandh · 13/11/2007 21:22

vin - must be the day my brother and his gf just accepted on offer on their house (they are buying a new build) they accepted £2500 less and agreed to leave the cooker and plasma tv (all wires chanelled in wall so would be a pita to take) but they phoned their builders to say they would be able to exchange by xmas as no chain (builders were pushing for exchange by xmas fo rtheir financial reports) and they have dropped the price of their house by £2500 so no loss for them

Dragonhart · 13/11/2007 21:59

Kat- Sorry, I havnet had anything like that done since way before having Luke so dont really know anywhere. I had a great massage at a Health Club in Manchester, could look that up for you or is that too far? Nemo lives that way I think, she might be more helpful.

I recently bought new glasses and they have thicker sides than the last pair. I think Ruth thinks I bought them especially for her to play with. UD- Z must be pretty strong to break the lens!

Laughalot- poor you! Chicken pox is going round here too, half of me wants Luke and Ruth to get it now and half not. Hope it goes quickly xxx

Glad all went well 2happy. Much respect for getting out at 7.30!

Dragonhart · 13/11/2007 22:00

Oh and congrats Vino. Will keep my fingers crossed all goes smoothly.

eandh · 14/11/2007 09:28

Morning - having a great day so far..

girls both slept till 6.40 (which is good in our house!) hattie woke once at 3am but after some sushing and finding the dummy settled herself.

Then my Mum and Dad phoned to say they are going into town and did Ellie want to go so she left at 9am (with £20 of my money so she can buy me and dh a xmas present from her and hattie - I am assuming my Mum is going to make sure I dont end up with a disney princess which is what she'll want to buy )

They wont be home till lunch time so neighbour is popping round with her Lo who is 9 weeks younger than Hattie as her eldest dd is a t preschool so peaceful cat with her

Lizzzombie · 14/11/2007 13:26

EAH - I want a dolls house too! Do you need any fabric? I have tons and tons and tons of it, I could send you a little packet to do curtains with if you'd like?

Vino - congratulations on your house! So...where are you moving to?

So glad I don't wear glasses in front of LO, £400 for a new pair (only wear them when using sewing machine...like never!)

Had a total heart attack yesterday, was ignoring baby (bad mother) and heard pitter patter upstairs. He'd crawled up the stairs with a story book and was exploring on his own. I shudder to think what could have happend! I must lock the stairgate and pay more attention to my baby!
